driver mirror was damaged when a storm caused a basketball hoop fall and knocked the mirror off and some body damage.
the body shop found a salvaged 2015 Q
5 mirror however it was high black gloss and since my mirror was with a sport package and a flat black the insurance company is making the auto body shop paint it to "look" like the original mirror. I was told that the black base of these mirrors are a poured color and are not painted. Will my car hold its value with a painted to match mirror? Will the product chip or peel?
The insurance company is giving me a hard time purchasing the original mirror from Audi. I argue that even though it's an Audi mirror the original was not painted rather color infused mold that resists chipping as color is throughout plastic. am ver hesitant to accepted the mirror being painted. Please advise

I bought an A6 a month ago. It is 4 years old and 103,000 km driven.
After 2 weeks the "Steering Defect" came on.
The Audi service told the whole Steering unit is dead. No signs of any external efffecting that. Audi importer tells it can happen and it is not product fault???
A part which is safety critical, no maintenance is needed to it, user has no access to it, no instructions about it...
It has expected lifetime of 4 years??? Horrible quality issue!!!

I traded in my 2011 Q5 for a new SQ5 thinking I would be happy since I am upgrading, well I was wrong. The new 2014 SQ5 is a beauty of a car, but the seats move and make noises and the drivers door is rattling. Very disappointing and frustrated since the Q5 was so quiet. The dealership had some German engineers come take a look at it and there isn't a fix at this time. I took a chance and Gwinnett Audi worked with me on replacing it with another new 2014 SQ5 with standard wheels. Well now the new SQ5 has a rattle in the drivers door and an annoying occasional buzzing noise, when you hit bumps or rough roads, from the front molding near the drivers assist. Oh and not to mention that the brakes are squeaking on both of the SQ5's. If you go around slamming on the brakes, it won't squeak since they are heated up. I am be beyond frustrated with this right now. I have had 2 Audi vehicles and loved them both... I expected the same, but with more power. I have been so upset. Still working with Audi and Gwinnett audi on what can be done. This is unacceptable for the money you pay for this car.

My husband & I are cash buyers, homes, cars and everything in between. We have hundreds of friends and are the proud parents of a very intelligent & gentle Doberman.

It's too bad that your commercial writers lack the common sense of dirt! Your ad was not funny, it was sick! Doberman's are very smart & they are not mean.

We can assure you that we will boycott your company & ask all of our friends & professional contacts to do the same.

Very very bad taste with the Super Bowl commercial so disappointed and disgusted! How dare could u make fun of animal rescue! There are so many animals out there in dire need of needing to be rescued and u make fun of it like it's a joke!! Unreal. Never will even think about purchasing an Audi and have already posted my disgust on Facebook and Twitter! I would suggest making another commerical in support of animal rescue foundations! Not playing it as a joke! This company is a JOKE!!!

It is with regret that I have heard that all of the Q5s 2015 and going forward will be made in Mexico. I have just purchased a 2014 diesel Q5 and also own one of the very first 09 Q5's. I liked the car so well, I now own two. But no more, I do not want an Audi made in Mexico, or for that matter a Mercedes made in Alabama. If I truly want the quaility and the prestidge of a German Auto, I may have to go BMW or another.

I just recently purchase a Lexus RX 350 last week. From Audi of Charlotte and the service was horrible! The gas tank was empty and the salesman stated he couldn't give me a voucher on a preowned car. As soon as I left the gas light came on and I have to find a gas station quickly. The back flip for thetrunk was missing. I callled back and the salesman name"Anthony stated " it is as it". I thought this is the wrost customer service experience I have ever had.Without the flap everyone can see what is inside my trunk. As of today, still no returned called. All the salesman stated is he will see what he can do. I will never purchase another car from them ever. And I plan on letting all of my co workers at the bank know the type of service they provide. I plan on wiring a complaint about my service and call in about how they treat their customers.

Hi
I purchased a brand new A6 is South Africa last December. Although our roads are not the best in the world, and I can expect some tyre damage, I would expect the car that you sold me to have tyre availabillity in the country. The car has 255/40 19inch tyres and Audi specify and supply, Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. I have to use the same tyre on the same axel for insurance purposes as stipulated by Audi. I first had to replace a damaged tyre in July this year. There was 1 tyre in the whole of South Africa. I ordered it and it took three days t get it. The second tyre was damged in November and there were NO tyres in the country and would take NINE days before stock was available. I wrote to Audi South Africa about the availability of the tyre, asking if there was any arrangement with Goodyear to support the population of cars Audi are selling here. Twice the dismissed my points claiming they have no arrangement and tyre availabillity is not Audis concers (both dismissive letters can be provided). I cannot believe a premium motor supplier can not have arrangements to support their car with third party suppliers, particualary when Audi sell the car with these tyres on and corner you with stipulating same tyre on insuarance replacement basis (also spare is only a biscuit wheel). I find this response poor and I am completeley dissatisfied with this arrogant and dismissive stance. This is my third Audi, tow in the Uk which I can say I enjoyed without a blip. The one here in South Africa will be my last with such a approach to customer service. The car is brilliant the customer service approach here in Souith Africa with genuine customer concerns is appauling.I can say that this will be my last Audi that I purchase.

I just purchased an Audi Q7 2008 in Jan 2013. So far I am very disappointed in the quality. When I brought it they said they did their inspection. Well so far..my tires started splitting and I have to replace all 4 due to all wheel drive. Before that the car would start and it started something about a ECM fault. So I waited and called the dealership and they said bring it in. I did and the computer reset its self so I was able to drive it. Then recently again it did the same thing. This time the check engine light came on. Im so frustrated with this car. I havent even had it a year yet and its giving me problems. What should I do??? It makes me feel like I should have went to BMW or Infinity..... UGH..

I am very disappointed with my Audi dealer I purchased a Q5 in 2011 to now be told as a trade it is not worth the average amount do to color and engine. Really I was told it was an exceptional color and engine???? I paid cash. Perhaps not desirable but the statement was made. I was totally mislead the juke box did not work on any of my cds. Yet sold to me as the juke box was so great. I di not know they need to be specific to work in the Juke box. Your salesmen seem to be a bit on the not telling the truth scenario. Yes I purchased at Wilsonville Audi in Wilsonville Oregon and may not do so again.

The Audi A4 & A6 from 2002 to 2006 have faulty CVT Transmissions.

www.cvtsettlement.com

The quality of these cars have never improved for the last 25 years. They always have the reputation of being expensive and not reliable. The Cars are good lookin but break down way more than their competitors. Its like having an old girlfriend, good for 1 night (short term) then kick her out because she is good for nothing and cost you way to much to keep.

These cars are no good pieces of caca. Dont waste your money, get a BMW or Mercedes, Japanese or a GM. Stay away and avoid the misery and headaches. Spend your money elsewhere...

Thanks for Audi A6. I'm still alive and my vollet on my pocket. I drive 25. April -13 Audi on road and it loose electricity and engine stopped. Also me stoppped car to bus stop side of the road. Then it start to fire on behind and start on battery because there was some short cut and cables smelt and bunt car. I'm so pleased that it burnt so slow, over minute and didn't left me in. Audi is so safety car and same said Audi dealers here in Finland. If you need I can send all those fire photos to you that you can see how impressive those are. I've to thank Finish dealer to quick contact after our claims to them, they have contacted now after two weeks and quoted test car to us for purchasing 35,5k€ A4 Tfsi rec 6/12 and drive 22 tkm. This is so nice and pleased quotation. It has been so nice to been Audi customer almost 20 years.

I survived a very bad accident on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in my 2001 Audi A4 2.8 quatro. I was hit in the rear of the car and then hit again on the passenger door then, pushed over the side of the freeway and my car rolled over it's top to the bottom of a ravine! My beautiful Audi saved my life! It held it's frame and did not squash me. When my car stopped rolling over, it landed wheels side down and I literally "ran" away from the car! I know that I would have been killed in this accident if I had been in most of the other vehicles that are on the road these days. I will forever own only Audi's. I am selling my daughter's Toyota and buying her an Audi as well. No one should have to find out the hard way if their car will protect them...unfortunately, I did. If you want to survive an accident like this...you should be in an Audi! I would put a picture of it, but, there is no way to attach a picture...it still looks like my Audi...just banged up, but, it was not squashed! I am alive because this car is made so strong...thank you, German engineers, for building this car for me that saved my life!

I purchased my Audi in 2007 its 2007 A6 3.2 Quatt it was Certified Pre-Owned. We really enjoy this car. The performance was outstanding, the looks and the way it handles on the road. We we're going to upgrade to another one and just purchase Audi's from now on. Then the transmission went completely out. The car was not driven that much. It only had 50,000 miles on it. They kept the car for 2 weeks and I was not even offered a loaner. If i really needed it I would have asked but that's not the point. Anyway since the transmission has been installed it's running a little rough. I use to could not hear it running, now it's louder. My concern is shouldn't it be running just as smooth as it was before? You're comments on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

We bought an Audi Q7 in 2007, the first year they came out. We live in a ski town and own two other Audi's - an Allroad and an A2. With the all-wheel drive the Audi's typically handle well in the snow. That being said, the Q7 is and is not good in the snow. This will be the third year that I have called Audi to see if they have developed winter windshield wipers for this car and they told me they still have not! This car is an accident waiting to happen if you get "caught" in a heavy snowstorm, because the windshield wipers cannot do the job! It could also be a design error with the windshield defroster - I don't know it starts with the windshield wipers that cannot keep the windows clear of snow and water that turns to ice - it is a nightmare and has been very scary a few tifive years of being on the market with this model.mes! Very, very disappointed with Audi for not addressing this after five years of this being on the market.

Subj: Audi A4 Oil Sludge Recall and Turbo Maintenance & Repair

Mr. Praznik,

I am an owner of a 2005 (2004.5) Audi A4 1.8t. Itâ??s my understanding that Audi has a settled class-action lawsuit regarding a serious problem with oil sludge in the make, model and year of my car.

In June 2012, the oil pressure light came on and I called my independent mechanic and he advised me to take it to the dealership to diagnose and confirm the recalled problem in this model car pertaining to the oil sludge. I had it towed to the dealer on June 19, 2012 where it sat, untouched for several weeks. I provided all the paperwork I had for the maintenance and/or repairs. I called Jim Ellis later that day stating that they would have to remove the oil pan to diagnose the problem to determine it could be oil sludge and that it would cost about approximately $3000 to repair.

I am a Army Active Reservist and left for my annual training with my unit in July 29, 2012 until August 18, 2012. During this time, the dealership had my car for several more weeks and when I called to check on progress and status updates I was told by the Jim Bass they are working on it.

According to the lawsuit, the car owner must provide all receipts of oil changes and I provided them with every single receipt for on time oil changes which were on schedule, with noted mileage, VIN number and dates. The repairs cost $2951.68. When I picked up the car on July 28th, 2 days later the car started smoking excessively. Took it back to the dealer on September 12th only to be told the turbo needs repair. I didnâ??t have any problems with the turbo until I took it in for repair for the Oil Sludge. Itâ??s unfortunate that I have had on going challenges with this car. From the beginning of this year until now I have paid over $6000 on repairs back to back. Each time Iâ??ve picked up the car, two days later; I am returning it to the dealer for more problems:

- leaking oil gasket and air leak in the breather.
- 2 axle replacement
- Oil Sludge repair
- Turbo replace/repair

Now that the turbo has gone out Iâ??ve been told by Jim Ellis that it will cost another $2,100.00. I am unable to pay for yet another costly repair and my car is sitting at the dealership.

My job requires me to drive daily and at this time I am unable to do so without my car. I am not in a position to pay for another expensive or any type of repair. This new problem is connected to the Oil Sludge problem and Iâ??m requesting the repair to be made complimentary by Audi Gwinnett. As for the Oil Sludge, I am asking to for a refund of the amount over and beyond what was allowed by the lawsuit. If there isnâ??t a mutually favorable resolve, you leave me no choice but to obtain legal representation to settle this matter.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at 770-256-4376.

Regards,

Eric Ward

I just bought an A4 a few months back, which I love and also looking at the A8 for my business car! My dealer in Amman Jordan is the worst service I have ever receviced, when I purchased the car they did not polish nor wax the vechiel after removing the white film, my carwash noticed it and informed me of the mistake, so the car had a small dent in it and the gentlemen at the repair shop was kind enough to take care of it, but the problem didn't stop there, I called the showroom and they took my information down but no call back and the Audi repair shop needs 2 days to try and remove the sticky stuff that's on it and there's no promise there also that it will look right. I'm sure and hope that's not how Audi works with there clients. And last but not least the insurance company that they sold me on is just as BAD as the serive. I can be reached at 011962-777837739

I bought a 2008 Audi A6 in February, 2012. Recently, the headlight went out. I bought the HID light thinking I could install it myself, but found that I needed to take it to the dealership service department. I did that today and was charged $160 for installation. I do have a two year pre-owned car warrenty on the vehicle. I have never ever had a headlight go out on any of my previous cars and feel this should have been covered by the warrenty considering we have only had the car five months. I feel the $160 should be reimbursed, especially since I have uonly used the dealership for service on my previous Audi the pas 6 or 7 years.
