I have to repost this comment because the first one didn't submitt well. Today, at 3:32PM on October 7, 2016 I received a call from a man asking me if my number that he read to me already became active today. Please, tell me is that suppose to come fromm a because that just seems out of the norm for me? Or could that be an invasion of privacy? I was already given information through my email to confirm that my phone number was active. I already had some issues through basic talk already. Please, someone tell me what you make of this? Anyone, please let me know if you decide to change your home phone number through basic talk are the operator from suuppose to call to tell you that your number what ever that is is activated. I just receive a call through that number at 3:32 today on OCTOBER 7 2016. I already went through enough with basic talk with my phone.

Yes!!! Basic Talk has bad service and customer service /support.. And corporate office is no better then the customer service representatives when you call customer service number, what are supervisors for if they can't or won't process your refunds,Then you have a corporate office with no number but a address that's backwards and bad business,So yes that is terrible, they is terrible top managers and all,I rather pay high then to put up with that service,They need to get better customer service representatives and better management and also learn that customers are always right like they were told in their customer service training over, over and over.. If they do what they were told in training I say they would be a little better with how they handle customers and that goes for management also, I feels though everyone needs to go back through training managers, customer service representative and anybody else that works with you guys... Really!!!!

There must be someone who can authorize a priority overnight delivery to me of a new BT modem . . . I've been promised one by 3 "chat" reps since losing service last Friday. The 1st "forgot" to place the order, the 2nd guaranteed it was priority shipped yesterday from NJ and would arrive tomorrow or Thur AM latest. I'm now chatting with a rep (4th who apologizes) and who confirmed Order did not go out yesterday by priority or any other UPS delivery method - it's still pending and he says it will take 2-3 business days. I NEED phone serevice.

Horrible service and customer service. I was promised a refund for a transaction that came out as I was porting a number over. I was told to call back when the new service was connected and I would receive my refund. I called back and they don't want to give me my refund. They said that they will go back and listen to the conversation to see if the rep told me that I could get a refund and call me back. I had to call them back and they still haven't listened to it yet. Basic talk sucks!!!!

i have only had basictalk since august and i called today to cancel it i want it cancelled well in stead of doing that they give me 2 months free,i called again to cancel and they basically told i could not cancel try it for the two months free first.well i guess i will be calling again

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE Basic Talk!! They take your money and for anything other than termination you are unable to speak to anyone! On May 5th I called and spoke with a 3rd world representative to terminate my service and considered it done. Silly me he only did not terminate my service they withdrew money from my account the same week. As I said there are no representatives to resolve anything so you send an email and wait for 24 hours. This person did not cancel my account and now I have another bill which they are REQUESTING payment. Presently they owe me one month now they want me to pay for two without their service. My present company can verify termination for this Basic Talk does not have porting services. I called he termination center, spoke with the person whom I suppose that this is his only job since he is the only live person that anyone is able to contact. I want my money back and I will go to the BBB and any other place that I need to. Basic Talk your public representative needs more education or a desire to do his job.

I am having trougle with my lines, could it possible that i haven't received a power cord with my basic box. I am using another company power cord, does this matter. Also, it takes too long for a chat Rep to speak with me. I usually speak with a Anton but, now no one is answering my chat call. I waited for over 5 minutes and still no one. I guess they are tired of hearing from me. I cannot get any long distance calls and I don't know why. I can't even call out. It could be a minor cable hook I don't know. This is the second time I came back with you. Maybe that is the problem that I am possible being ignored, I hope not

After almost 40 years employed as a LAN Administrator I have canceled my contract with BasicTalk and received a refund from Walmart. Two units failed to produce the desire results. I have been forced to use Skype for my audio call.
