I am staying in Massapequa at your hotel. From checkin last night until this morning it has been a horrible experience. My rooms were not available. Then they put us in room with bad plumbing. The bath tubs are stopped up. The toilets flood over when flushed. The staff especially the desk clerk is rude . I stayed he last year with some difficulties but this is horrendous. I want my money refunded

HEALTH HAZARD!! FALSE ADVERTISING!! BE WARNED!! We had the misfortune of staying at the Best Western in Three Rivers, CA on 12/ 29/23 Just outside Sequoia National Park. There is a Comfort Inn a 1/2 mile down the road. STAY THERE. We checked in around 9:30 pm ( time is important because water on floor from cleaner should be dry by then) We were given room 19 . Noticed immediately that there was standing water around the toilet. Called front desk, they asked if we could wait for someone in 15 min. NO! A leaking toilet is not going to be fixed at 9:30at night! I don't want to wade thru motel toilet water!!! We requested a new room. We were given room 62 - a handicapped room as far away from the lobby as possible. Again, important to note. Immediately we noticed standing water sat the end of one of the beds. WTH! No ceiling leak, but a mystery. Being exhausted from the day, we decided to put an early old towel on it and avoid it. At least it wasn't toilet water! It did not appear to be mop water because the floor was still dirty, crud along walls especially in the bathroom.
Next problem - NO TOILET PAPER or KLEENEX AT ALL. Imagine being a physically handicapped person, using the toilet and finding out that there is no toilet paper in the room at all. Only thing in the closet was an old walker and two old pillows WITHOUT PILLOWCASES. No blankets, no extra sheets, no nothing!! There was only two old stained towels in the room ( sleeps four people) that were thrown up on the shelf. Yes, thrown up. No tidy effort at all. My daughter had to walk across a dark parking lot at 10pm to get ONE ROLL OF TP. They didn't even offer to stock the room or offer Kleenex.
So around 10:30pm we proceeded to open the beds. NO TOP SHEETS!! Gross! Only fitted sheets! Imagine trying to sleep against old blankets that possibly hundreds or thousands of people have slept against. This is the type of motel that probably doesn't wash the blankets, by the looks of the towels. (towels were old , worn, stained and HAD HAIR ON THEM!!!) This time I called the front desk and asked them to deliver top sheets to our room. About 10 minutes later, the mom and her son showed up. ( this is family business, mom and daughter wore the same religious garb and the son looked like the mom) I showed the mom the lack of sheets and the water on the floor. No apologies, no excuses. She did bring two extra nasty towels to make a total of 4 towels for a room that slept four.
After they left I pulled out the beds to check for bedbugs. This definitely the type of motel that would have bedbugs. Amazing! no bedbugs but GREEN MOLD ON FLOOR AT HEAD OF BOTH BEDS. HEALTH HAZARD!! it was quite obvious that the beds had never been pulled out for cleaning. I wish I had taken a picture but I was too tired.
But the "fun' didn't end there. The heater only had two settings - 85 degrees or off. Even though the temperature number appeared to change, IT DID NOT WORK. My husband had to open the sliding glass door at 2am to release the inferno. We turned the blast furnace back on at 7 am when we were trying to escape the hellhole.
But wait! There's more! We opened the room fridge only to find a brown liquid on the door and on the floor of the fridge. The fridges are never cleaned.
Again, there's more! The tv must use old antenna. No cable or satellite. Remember the old fuzzy lines and static? Old folks would remember this as classic antenna reception. this is an old motel - think 1970's Which brings up an important point, because this is such an old motel, there are NO USB PLUGS. You need to bring your own cubes to charge your devices.
FALSE ADVERTISING! This motel advertises CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. OH HELL NO! That was the first thing the daughter said when we tried to check in early. No breakfast, just oatmeal and some old, dehydrated oranges. No coffee in lobby, no place to sit down in the tiny lobby. Old fashioned drip coffee makers in room, but no creamers. Daughter did recommend a place down the road that served breakfast. Close to the Comfort Inn that you should stay at inside of this health hazard place that calls itself a Best Western.
This motel should be reported for health violations and for false advertising. Due to its age, it should be brought up to code and turned into housing for the homeless. Best use for it.

AGAIN. DO NOT STAY HERE. STAY AWAY. THERE IS A COMFORT INN less than a mile toward the park.

Do not stay here. After reading reviews (which I should have (first),
Seems as if the normal procedure is to overcharge quest. I stayed at the Alexandria location on November 10, 2023, and checked out on November 11, 2023. Still waiting on my deposit. Now it's December 8,2023.

On 8-5-23 we stayed at a Best Western in Henderson NV. We showed up at 12:30 pm and was told no rooms were ready yet. Told us to come back in 30 minutes to an hour. We came back at 1:40 pm and during check in which I had a reservation and I'm a Rewards member was told I would have to pay $50 for early check in. What is the reason for this besides scamming people. I had a reservation, the rooms were ready. There's no reason why you should charge me for this. I've stayed in many hotels and have Never had to pay an early check in! This is pathetic! If BW Corp does not refund me this charge, I will Never stay at any of your properties again! So if $50 is worth what you're going to lose in the long run, then so be it. I contacted the GM at the hotel and it was obvious he couldn't care less about my concerns.

We are currently staying at the Best Western in Evanston Wyoming we usually stay at Best Western because they are nice motels for the price. We stay at the BestvWestern in Burley Idaho at least 4 times a year and Kline it. However this Best Western is a dump. We stayed in room 726 which was far from main building in what my husband dubbed "trucker ally." The hair dryer was loose from the wall, the lamp had to lean against the wall and the shower products were skimpily and cheap. Breakfast this morning was awful. Only cheddar cheese bagels (yuck) available by toaster, eggs were cold and potatoes were freezing. This place does not deserve zo because best western and it is certainly not worth the $165.00 we paid.

This is no sense in leaving complaints here as Best Western doesn't own any hotels. They are independently owned and operated. You have to deal with the locals because it all comes out of their pockets.

I've been trying for almost 2 weeks to get a refund for 3 nights from the BW+ Indianapolis NW. When I checked out they said only the manager does adjustments. I call daily and leave my name and number to no avail. I was able to speak to Bridgette one time and she had me send over my receipt. She just emailed she is doing an adjustment but it is for the wrong amount. When I tried to call her again for the last 2 days she's in meetings or is not available.

I booked a room 2 weeks in advance and requested a certain room, we have stay in the Fillmore best Western several times and at check in I was not able to get the room I requested and your receptionist was very rude. The room that we stayed in had people upstairs that were very noisy, we had to call the office for them to do something about it and even then they were still noisy. We did not enjoy our stay as much as we have the times we had stayed there before.

I stayed at the best western in Florence South Carolina. The room had bogs in the bathroom , the noise level was like staying in a construction site.Large loud trucks riding past the rooms at all hours.
I was a preferred Costomer but will not stay in another best western or recommend best western to my veteran friends or family. Very disappointing
I use to love staying at best western but no longer.

On March 6, 2021 I checked in at the Troy, Alabama Best Western. There is where I was greeted by an older white female who addressed me as "girl" repeatedly. I am 52 with daughters of 19 and 23 years old with me that day. In the south, referring to an adult black male or female as a "boy" or "girl" is a racial slur. After I politely told her that I was 52 and did not prefer to be called a girl, she persisted to continue to call me that and then referred to my daughters the same way. I left the desk to check the room and returned to find her assisting an old Caucasian and younger Caucasian woman. She did NOT. once refer to either of them as girls. I addressed her again and told her not to refer to me or my daughters as "girls". She tried to explain how her "daddy" raised her. I insisted again without hostility despite the fact I was upset because my daughters were looking on. She finally agreed to refrain but ended the comversation in a snide tone calling us "ladies" as if she hated to say it. The room she gave us was stinking with the smell of vomit and mildew. I notified the cleaning crew the following morning because I did not want things to escalate. My stay was relatively uncomfortable and I felt mistreated and insulted racially. Some of the staff complained of her history of loosely using the the N word, boy, and girl with staff, their significant others, and other clients. Why is she still serving there? I desire to continue to use your service upon my visits to Troy when I visit there, but I would greatly desire not to encounter that particular person and their racist behaviors and have a cleaner better smelling room. Please make a difference as soon as possible.

We stayed at the Best Western in Barbarasville, W.V. We got there May 23 and the grass had not been cut in awhile, and the trash was fool and never did get empty. The wall in the bathroom was a mess. We have stayed at this Best Western 2 to 5 times a year, going on 17 years. We stayed there in November and it looked fine, but this trip it looked run down.

Ouch, overcharged at the Best Western in Wilsonville Oregon with some poor excuse of the rate could be charged at $250 first night and $125 the second(close to the $119 quoted when making reservation with hotel directly). My impression was that this could have easily been resolved if they had admitted inadvertently double charging the first night. The ability of national Best Western customer care to resolve came across as a place for the sorry customer to whine but not effective to get help to resolve. I realize Wilsonville Oregon Best Western management is probably in trouble and likely will accomplish their own undoing with time but it puts a poor taste in our mouth to stay with
Best Western anywhere else which has been our usual choice when traveling if available.

On 5/29/2016 I inadvertently made a reservation via Booking.com at your Best Western Hotel in Danville, Illinois, when in fact I wanted to make the reservation for your Best Western Hotel in Danville, Pennsylvania. This was done at 10:57am and when I realized my mistake at 3:38pm, I immediately contacted Booking.com and was treated very gracefully and they immediately made contact with the hotel in Illinois and was informed that the manager was not in and would not return until after the holiday. During the period from the managers return and today (6/7/2016) several contacts by Booking.com and myself went unanswered, until finally today the response was that the management would not waive the cancellation fees and I would have to pay the amount of that charge. During this waiting period I made the correct reservation at the correct hotel with the assistance of Booking.com. I realize that I made an error but, only a short few hours had passed when I attempted to make the necessary correction. I am completely dissatisfied with this response and had I not already made the corrected reservation I would have booked a different hotel chain. This will be the very last time that Best Western will ever receive my business and that of my family and friends as well.

We recently stayed at the best western plus new england in berlin CT. We stayed as a group with a lot of children. The smell of POT in the hotel was horrible. so bad we had to stay down in the lobby with the kids until late becuase the smell was so bad. The hotel has to remove 11 people from the hotel that night after they broke up a party. they have an indoor pool but the chemicals were so bad the kids were chemical burned from the pool and there was never clean towels by the pool. The smell in the pool room was so overwhelming when the kids quicky got out of the pool we had to prop the door open with a door stopper so the kids could drip dry off a bit before walking anywhere since there was no towels. A member of the hotel staff came by and kicked the door shut mad becuase we had it propped open and it was making the whole lobby smell like pool chemicals. When the kids tried to leave the pool room the door was stuck shut. The kids skin was rashed and red everywhere from the pool. The kids did get a little noisey and the lady at the desk did come over to us and ask if the kids could be a little quiter which was no problem all the parents were still sitting in the hotel breakfast area since the smell in the rooms was still bad. When I returned home the hotel we filed complaints about the smell and the pool. I received a call from the assistant manager of the hotel to tell me the kids in my group had broked the chair in the front lobby and that he was charging my card 500.00. I was shcoked and even knew which chair he was referring to since when we arrived one of the parents sat in this chair to wait for us and we had to physically help her out of it since she sunk so low into the chair. In addition I informed the manager that some of our parents were sitting in the chair at check out waiting for the group and reported the same sinking in so the chair was broke when we arrived. He said too bad i charged your card anyway since you booked the block of rooms, which I never signed anything agreeing to be responsible for the whole group. I explained to him that the money was being removed from my checking account not a credit card he said oh well I alreay have it. I called corp office back to let them know and they are unwilling to do anything to assist me with either the pool issue or this. They gave me 5000 points on a best western rewards card for the pot smell big deal you cant even get anything until you reach 6000. I will NEVER stay at any best western ever again! No one I know will ever stay and no one in the group or anyone they know will ever stay again. Not even their corp office will assist!! This is stealing.

I stayed three nites at the BW Plus North Houston Inn & Suites Houston, Texas. During my stay there I was bitten all over my arms, feet, neck and face by "BED BUGS". Now given I did talk with the desk clerk on duty and showed her the bite marks and the freaking bugs, was told that I would be refunded my three nite stay also reimbursed money for medicine. Now upon checkout I was told that due to my being moved to a clean room my last night stay, they were only refunding two nites and the medication amount. This was totally unacceptable to me due to the fact that I was not moved due to any freaking fault of my own....I was moved due to the neglegance of that filthy hotel.

Dear Mr Kong

I booked a room at Best Western Red River in Thackerville, OK on July 22. I got the phone number to call online, so I assumed it would be business as normal. What a disappointment!!!

They said they would charge my credit card 24.99 to reserve the room, but they DID NOT tell me it was an Additional charge for my room! How ridiculous¡

Now that I'm home, I see the hotel charged me an additional $25.00 on top of the room charge. So, my $89 room cost me $160. Again, ridiculous!

If this is your new policy I will not be back. I used to stay at best western several times a year

I am sending you this detail complaint about the 3 star Best Western Plus on Quebec Ave. in Denver CO., before sending the complaint to those who give stars.
Perhaps seeing as you must wash sheet in stronger detergent to get rid of bed bugs, you might expect more consumers to have allergies to them. Having the woman in charge of the desk say "There is nothing we can do about itchy, rash producing strong soap bed sheet is not something which makes you look forward to a second night." Most people dissatisfied with your chain, do not take time to write, they do not go back, and Word of Mouth is, "Do not go there".
My partner said, You should have two sets of sheets re-washed in just cold water in plastic bags for each floor. I agree so if someone wakes up at 230 or so with a rash there are anti-itch sheets they can put on or a staff can exchange them for.
Yes, the heron statute in the former breakfast room and the elegant stairway to it would qualify you for 3 stars. But the rooms are what I found to be two stars and most of a guest time is spent in such.
On my visit, to Room 429 the bathroom set was lose, it warbled from side to side. My 140 pounds could not remain still, or stationary on it. Yet, not knowing if maintenance was on duty after 6 pm, I waited until the next morning to report it. This might not be just a turnoff for guest, in other rooms whose bathroom seats, are not regularly checked. It could have been a safety hazard.
Your room bathroom's are the smaller than some motel 6 ones. Yes the one on the main floor is a big as my living room. But few guest run down to use the main floor bathroom, when in their PJs or less.
The shower plugged up and there was no instructions on how to use it.
My main gripe is the sheets caused me to break out in hives above my eyebrows. I assumed this was due to harsh detergents.
I happened to have a blanket still in the cars from when I washed it. At around 3:30 I asked the guy in the office to keep an eye on me while I got it. I said because I was itching. When I came in he was out of sight. The Blanket had not been returned to my house, luckily because I washed it before leaving.
At 6:15 AM or so, I reported that I had trouble with the room. The female clerk said she could do nothing about the sheets. And after we had a lousy tasteless eggs and sausage breakfast, they sent a repair guy up, to fix the other two things in the bathroom.
I had called down and was given the home offices phone number, from the clerk who REFUSED Services or to make the room "usable" for me for the second night. I was talking to the customer service when the repair guy knocked on the door.

I explained to the nice woman that I had never experienced a rash from any hotel beds. I could rectified the situation myself by washing the sheet in plain water. But that was not my reason for renting the room. I had things I had planned to do that was why I was in Denver. They were listed to be a 3 Star motel I expected more service if required than from a two Star one, not less!
The Woman I spoke to called the hotel I was in While I was on the phone. I guess they took care of the matter I got sleep without breaking into hive the second night. The sheet were taken off the bed for them, and the sheet themselves were placed onto the bed, the blanket and spread were placed by the staff in the drawers.
I had left a note on the sheets and saw the staff on the elevator to wash with NO Soap. I believe they did so, as I slept well.
I paid full price. Full service was LESS than your motel gave. People with allegies should not need to do verbal combat with "People who care about the guest." To feel comfortable, and be able to sleep.
The guest should not need to take their life in their hands by going unaccompanied in to the parking lot and have the desk clerk running off in the opposite direction. Giving it a second thought I do not want even a Free night with Best Western. I want my $80 back

Dear Mr David Kong, President and CEO of Best Western Hotels.

Booked hotel in Jan, 2014 at the Edgewater Motel, Florida. Confirmed reservation in February for a one night stay on Feb 22/23, 2014. Upon arrival at the hotel the reservations were cancelled and asked Manager Patel to make good for the mistake. Stated we have nothing left, except for a smoking room which I specifically did not want due to a medical conition of my wifes. Manager insisted that I then pay an additional $50 since it was speed week in Daytona. As an AAA member, I did not think that was fair and being gouged since I was quoted an $85.rate plus tax besides being placed in a smoking room which reaked of cigarette smell, I had no other alternative but to take the room with the gouged price. I am requesting a full refund of $85. plus tax and the additional $50. as demaned by Mr Patel under the HOSPITALITY PROMISE "MAKING YOUR STAY A COMPLETE SUCCESS IS OUR GOAL. JUST LET OUR MANAGER ON DUTY OR FRONT DESK STAFFIF ANT PART OF YOUR STAY ISN'T SATISFACTORY. WE PROMISE TO MAKE IT RIGHT OR YOU WOUN'T FOR THAT PART OF YOUR STAY. I'm sorry to say that the entire stay was a disaster and am seeking a full refund. I may be called for a additional informtion Thank you for your assistance and awaiting your reply.

A loyal customer,

I booked a non-smoking room and it smelled like smoke. I didn't like the idea about having the coffee maker in the restroom. My coffee maker didn't work. There were no extra coffee makers. I will not plan on staying at Best Western.

My husband and I booked a 2 night stay in cary NC at the Best Western on Walnut Street. we checked in and out within an hour. there we transcients sleeping in the hallway and out by the pool. some of the hotel claimed to know of their being there and others claimed not to. the room smelled badly of cig smoke, even though we were told it was a non smoking room. something smells fishy at that hotel. go up the street to the hampton inn, so much nicer for the xtra money. homeless were sleeping around the pool also in their pj's. why wasn't something done sooner? the 2nd shift staff called the cops after I confronted the front desk. saw no housekeeping or maintenance people around. really creepy place.....don't go there.......

I booked a room on August 21, 2013 for Saturday August 24. When I went to check in, they did not have my room. The male that took my reservation put me coming in on that Wednesday that same day I called to make my reservation and I stay 4 hours away. I did not get a room, the Ramkota was booked! I had to go find another hotel. The manager did not apologize. She said I might not be charged for that room. What the heck, it wasn't my mistake. I feel I should get a discount on my next stay! This happened in Bismarck, ND at the Ramkota! Please respond ASAP!

We stayed in the Best Western in Fort Pierce on August 9th 2013 till August 10th in room 102. The room was very nice and everything went well. We checked out at 9:00 AM on August 10th. I realized at about 9:30AM that I left my Canon Power Shot A570IS in the room. I immediately called the hotel to have them check the room. The clerk said she would call back after she checked. She called back and

Said it wasn't there. I asked her to Look where I put it last and she went to look. Again it wasn't there. It was in the room when I left. I looked at the pictures I had taken and went to bed. I'm out $300 and the sad part is I had pictures on the cameras disk that meant a lot to me.

My biggest problem is I always trusted the people who work there and will no longer. I believe an employee stole my camera and what will be done about it?

me and my family tried to find a room with two queen beds on the bottom floor. The gentlemen said he has a room with two queen beds non-smoking area. I said I'll take it. He gave me room 204. When we went the room it was on the second floor. So , we went back to cancel the room and cancel the bill . He said no problem, but he never gave me a copy of the cancellation of the bill. The next day, we're home . I called my Visa card jugt to make sure everything is OK, But it wasn't. So I called the hotel to speak the manager but she was't in. So I ask the person who I was speak to, can you see if the charges were cancel on the Aug 17 at 11pm. She told me she does not see my name at all(on that day) . So I was charge for $63 that I never stayed at all. I wiil personally tell all my friends don't book Best Western hotel, they wiil still your moneys even if you don't book it.

I had a reservation at the Best Western Plus, for August 9, 2013. At approximately 4:00 that afternoon, I called the hotel to ask if there would be any problem checking in later that evening. I was close by but had other plans and would have preferred to not check in at that time. The woman I spoke with assured me that would not be a problem.

When I checked into the hotel at 9:34 PM and went to my room, I discovered that my room was located next to the elevator. I returned to the lobby to attempt to change my room due to my concern for noise. "Lena", the front desk attendant, said that all the rooms "at that level" were filled and they had no other room available because they were booked and that we had checked in so late. I asked her to define what "level" meant, but she never explained it to me. I informed her that I had made the reservation several weeks earlier and had also called that afternoon. I also told her that I hadn't notified that the location of my room depended on what time I actually checked into the hotel and that the hotel was booked to capacity. Since she seemed unwilling to help me further and demonstrated what I can only describe as a serious lack of concern, if not downright rudeness, so I asked to speak to the manager. She said there was no manager on duty, so I asked her to call him. She left the front desk and returned shortly thereafter accompanied by "Kevin". He stated that the hotel was full because of the Raiders football game. I told him that this would have been good information to have had at 4:00 when I initially called the hotel. The encounter was indescribably frustrating and not what I would have expected at a Best Western hotel.

In all the years I have stayed in Best Westerns, I have never been treated with such distain and a general lack of respect as I encountered that evening. When I had breakfast the next morning, the staff in the dining room was much more professional, courteous and friendly than your two employees at the front desk.

Interestingly, my room was lovely and I was not disturbed by the elevator. Because of my experience with Lena and Kevin, however, I will be reluctant to stay at a Best Western in the future. I understand that if a hotel is booked, alternate rooms would not be available. This was not an issue of availability but one of courtesy and professionalism.

Best Western Lafayette Executive Hotel

Lafayette, Indiana

COMPLAINT

During the Blakley-Johnson Family Reunion weekend stay at the Best Western Hotel in West Lafayette, IN on July 19-21, 2013, all members of our family suffered symptoms of coughing, nasal stuffiness, scratchy throat, eye irritation, wheezing, chest tightness and/or some sort of respiratory tract symptom.

These problems are a result of and related to our exposure to MOLD in the Best Western Hotel in West Lafayette, IN which was caused by the lack of proper or inadequate ventilation and exhaust fans on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floors and an odor (like fumes from oil or some other type of chemical) at the elevators, respectively. Ceiling fans are located on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floors of the hotel where family members had reserved rooms; this appears to be a hazard also, portable dehumidifiers in the lobby which were not large enough to circulate fresh air throughout this large facility is inadequate.

One family requested to be transferred from room #214, 2nd floor due to a black molded spot and peeling of the ceiling in their room, as my grandson had a coughing and sneezing spell; he is only 4 years old. The family was transferred to the 5th floor, room #514, but there was still a problem with inadequate room ventilation and circulation of air.

Due to my working in a hospital setting for several years, I know that when there is a high level of moisture or dampness in a building, it causes a problem such as MOLD and the indoor air quality is recognized as an important risk factor for human health.

As the coordinator for the Johnson-Blakley family reunion, each family member who was a guest at the Best Western Hotel is requesting a full refund for being exposed this (MOLD) health hazard. We all were affected.

We will be contacting The Indiana State Health Department, OSHA and the EPA to investigate the conditions of this independently owned Best Western Hotel.

My husband and I recently made a trip to Forney due to a death in the family. We chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Christopher Inn & Suites located at 752 Pinson Road in Forney. We stayed there from Friday, August 9th until Monday, August 12th, itinerary # 126189106, confirmation # 113586226496. We picked your hotel because of the location, and some positive reviews I had read online.

This was not a pleasure trip due to the fact that the reason for our trip was because of our son in law's sudden death and funeral. Even though our daughter would have had plenty of room for us, there were several in-laws, and other family members from out of town. So, my husband and I chose to stay at your hotel. The location was perfect. However, we were very disappointed in the service of our room.
On arrival, we found the hotel to be seemingly well kept. The people at the desk were friendly and the room appeared clean and in order. On our second day, when the housekeeper knocked to clean, we were dressing to leave for the funeral. So we asked her if she could return, allowing us time to finish dressing and leave. She cordially agreed. That night, when we returned, the beds had not been made, and the cleaning staff had not visited. I went to the desk to tell the clerk what had happened and got clean towels. The next evening, we returned to find only the beds had been made and the trash removed. The dirty towels we had left in the floor of the bathroom had been removed, but the other used towels were still as we left them, with clean towels placed underneath the hanging soiled towels. There was a used wadded up wash cloth lying on the table next to the coffee pot, which we had not used and our snacks we had bought during the drive. None of the tables or counters had been wiped or cleared. Only the commode, tub and the bathroom floor appeared to have been cleaned, leaving us to believe the wash cloth on the counter over the refrigerator, next to the coffee maker had been used to clean the bathroom. Even the bathroom counter had not been wiped. I am a retired nurse and health officer and the mere thought of this very unsanitary practice is appalling.

The second night I called the front desk, the young lady apologized and said none of the housekeeping staff was there and she was alone. She came to bring soap and pick up soiled towels and gave us 2 vouchers, each for a free snack from the hotel sweetshop. She said that because I had used a third party to book the room, she couldn't make any adjustment in our bill.
I'm sorry, we did pay for full service. Therefore, I feel we should be compensated in some way. Even the offer of a free or discounted rate night in the future, would have been a good gesture. We could even have been offered a clean room to finish out our stay. Even though, I shudder to think that any room there, seemingly to be clean, could possibly be as unsanitary.
As we checked out, I returned the vouchers, #12 and #22 due to the fact, the offer of a free sweet snack was merely a band aid for staying in such unclean conditions.

We recently took a trip to California to ride our motorcycles on the PCH. We stayed at the Best Western (Encina Lodge and Suites) in Santa Barbara. We had someone open the door with a key while we were getting dresses to go to the pool. The front desk doubled sold the room! They told me they were sorry?
There was a ceiling fan that made a knocking noise, like a bearing was out, so we could not use it that night. The next morning I showed it to an employee that was checking the property. Her response was "wow, I will get somebody to fix that."When we checked out the young lady that we showed the fan was on the front desk.If I was running your company I would want to know that is how your NAME is being used at this LODGE & SUITE.

There is way too many negative things to be said about the bw seekonk ma. Michael and Stefani are definitely on cahoots together and when they are caught. They try to say the room was trashed. While I was speaking with corp. they said it was trashed because there was a pillow case that was dirty. Sounds more like a house keeping problem. Biggest issue is the kept charging my account and when asked three different people why no one knew why including the rude, lying, ignorant general manager. I did nothing wrong based on their procedures, still my family and I were kicked out at 9pm on a Friday night. Now there's an upstanding classy general manager. Sam u ought to be embarrassed that you depend on such a loser. If I were u I would check the records on cash paying customers I can almost garuntees only Michael and stefani saw it. Strange how they get along so well then talk about each other. Stefani I ask you is Michael still a jerk in your eyes? Don't try to befriend me then act as if u have done nothing. Nobody knows how charges got on my card but mysteriously it is Michael and stefanis name on the invoive

I am a frequent traveler and recently began staying with Best Western again. My traveling schedule requires staying in Chattanooga, TN at least one night a week, every week. For the past several months I stayed at the BW on Lee Highway in Chattanooga. Today upon check out I was told that someone from the hotel staff must personally check my room before I can check out. They wanted to verify that I had not stolen anything or damaged the property. I have NEVER been treated this way before, and certainly will NEVER be treated this way at that facility again, for I will never stay there again, and will re-consider my decision to stay at any Best Western that treats their guests as if they were a thief.

My brother and I along with our elderly parents recently stayed at the Best Western location in Junction City, KS on two separate occasions within the past week. During both visits we experienced superior customer service. Dominic and Susan went overboard to accomdate our every need. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this location to stay while traveling through Kansas.

Recently I stayed at the Best Western in Port Canpbell,Australia. What a delightful and enjoyable experience. The owners live on site and are quite cordial and helpful. Would recommend this facility to all who want to visit in that area.

I'm concerned that Best Western gives discount rates to NRA members. Are NRA members toting guns when they stay at Best Western at the same time I do, with my grandchildren always visiting? How unsafe that now makes me feel. I'm a Best Western Reward members and for the last two years, have stayed at Best Western every month or so to visit my grandkids. But I will no longer do that. I will find another hotel that does not support the NRA.

I would not recommend staying at the BW Snowcap Lodge in Cle Elum, WA. They do not have high ethical standards or professional behavior. I recently experience this first hand when my 7 yr relationship ended because of Toni, the front desk clerk. She was fraternizing with the highway work crew working for WSDOT and who stayed there about 7 mo. this past summer. Her behavior was unprofessional. I called the manager who did nothing. I called the corporate office who also did nothing. They were only concerned with the condition of the rooms etc. I would not recommend staying there unless you're looking for that sort of thing. If you are, ask for Toni!

We stayed at Best Western in Yucca Valley CA. Very bad experience. Will never stay again. Room was dirty with apples on the floor and only 1 towl. This was a jacuzzi room. We had to ask for more towls and they were very rude about it. NO HOT WATER. We paid extra for the jacuzzi and could not even use it. We went outside the to use the hotel jacuzzi and it was broke. Breakfast was discusting! Wehn we checked out the girl stated tha a manager would be contacting me and an adjustment would be made to our account. To this day I have never heard from them and no adjustment was ever made. Very poor management!

Best Western, Mineola, TX- while parked under a light in the Best Western parking lot someone drilled a whole in my gas tank & stole a near full tank of gas. This was an expensive lesson replacing a Ford F150 gas tank & fuel pump.Plus putting on a patch over the whole in the rain. No one bothered to help us 4 women. O f course surveillance viceo was inconclusive & no return phone call from Mineola PD detective.

We stayed at the Huntington Beach California Best Western over labor day weekend of 2012 and on Monday the day we checked out I was covered with bites all over my arms, legs, back, feet and hands. Upon returning home I went to the doctor as the itching and bites were unbearable! I was told I was covered in BED BUG bites! I immediately called the Best Western Corporate offices and told them of this situation and was given a file number and told that a manager from the Best Western in Huntington Beach would contact me by phone within 7 business days. Seven business days have passed with NO contact from the hotel so I again called the Corporate office in Phoenix Az and gave them my file number and this is what I was told: An e-mail was sent to you (which I never received) regarding the situation - they could not guarantee a phone call from the hotel nor would they do ANYTHING to try and see that I would be a return customer at any Best Western. WORST customer service company I have ever dealt with! Needless to say I am still covered in bites and constant itching and will do everything I can to see that the general public knows about the BED BUGS at that hotel and that the Corporate offices of Best Western are of NO assistance when it comes to their customers.

i stayed at the best western in gulf shores al on labor day weekend at the time we checked in the room smelled of smoke and when we reported it to the maid on the hall she said it was ok then we found several bugs running around r room when we turned the lights on!!! again when we reported this they wanted to spray the room with commerical bug spray while we were in there. after we checkd out my credit card was then billed 250.00 dollars saying that we smoked in the room, which we dont even smoke, plus we had already reported the smell. my guess is that the maid had to be the one smoking and charging the quest for the smell. I will dispute the charges and feel you need to contact me on this matter thank you michelle little

I want commend the staff at Pearl, Alabama's Best Western. In particular, I'd like to mention Wilma, the evening check in clerk. Despite people fleeing the hurricane and travelers like myself passing through, Wilma was patient and attentive to all who needed assistance.

In the past I've stayed at other Best Westerns, but they did not come up to the experience I had last week.

The article with Chad Staples was appalling. I understand that you can not control the actions of every employee within your organization; However, this type of treatment to a disabled customer was very disturbing to me (IE; I don't ever get involved), but this shook me to the core. This kid is the reason your organization is able to operate freely, without the military we all live in fear. Your response to this issue seemed canned, and empathetic. I am involved in a government organization of over 50,000 employees, as well as having Union influence. As noted above, I don,t, and have never gotten involved in the past, but this issue hits home, and I am going to use whatever influence and/or connections with other law enforcement organizations to expose this injustice. Sir's/Madam's, you have to make this right. Emotionally, you may have potentially destroyed this young mans confidence. This is not an issue your organization can throw money at. You must make a personal effort to let Chad Staples know he is a valued, and useful disabled employee of the United States Armed Forces. This is your chance to show your Country that you care, and that you appreciate the sacrifices of Chad, and the United States Armed Forces.

I just read a story about Best Western this afternoon and their mistreatment of a paralyzed Veteran. I am pulling the travel from my company and I will make sure that all of my employees stay at another hotel while we travel. Marriot has always been great and they give veteran discounts.

Since this is the way our Military is treated, I will never stay at a Best Western again.

On May 20 I reserved two rooms for July 13 at the Best Western West Towne Suites in Madison, WI. The lady who took the reservations was very abrupt, as I noted in an email to my friend who was to use the second room.Although I was given reservation code numbers, no other confirmation was enacted that showed dates, customer names, etc. It was strictly word of mouth.
When I arrived on July 13, this same lady said I didn't have a reservation. She said my reservation was for JUNE 13, not July 13 as I had requested. She said that when I didn't show on June 13 the company charged my credit card for $206 and, from their standpoint, the transaction was completed.
When I said I had made my reservation for July 13, the lady said I must be in error because, "I never make mistakes."
So, I request a $206 refund or credit to my charge card AND an apology for the manner the company used in handling the matter.
The name of the offending company is Best Western West Towne Suites. The general manager is Randee Talwar.

Best western Cinderella in Shawnee Oklahoma is the absolute creepiest hotel experience we have ever had. In town for a horse show we chose to stay in this Hotel due to the assumed quality of the Best Western name. Upon arrival it was difficult to determine who were employed from those simply loitering.
We had an uneasy feeling and did not even leave our belongings in the room after check in knowing it would be several hours before our return. we should have never returned.
We did however go back at the end of a long hard day, tired and needing showers. Imagine our trepidation upon discovering there was not another single guest in this hotel during a large horse show just one mile away. Creepy!
There was no cups, soap or toilet paper. We asked for toilet paper and when my husband stepped from the room fifteen minutes later the young girl tossed it down from the floor above. Again, creepy. It felt like a horror movie that I prayed we survived the night.
We did, and when trying to check out and return the remote for the tv and the key the front doors were locked and no lights on anywhere. Again creepy.
The charge showed up on my credit card two days later along with a string of other unidentified charged totaling nearly $300. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
We will NEVER trust the Best Western name again and we will adamantly steer all friends and family from ever trusting the name.
Truly sad. This used to be an American household name in family vacations. No more.
