I live in Butler N.C., and I want to comment about your bag sizes. Their too small for anything like family size meals. I get tired of holding fresh meat products because the bags are too short. These bags are the plastic bags. And yes I do use the FL bags when I'm out of town. I know others have the same problems. They need too make a larger in height size.

I was just at rev Food Lion in Sanford off of z Jefferson Davis Hwy. I shop there at least 5 days a week. After the nonsense today, I will be taking my shopping elsewhere. The 2 females working the deli counter need an attitude adjustment. I often buy deli meat there and have never been told there's a line starting point. I walked up as they were assisting a mom and child. A man walked up just as they walked away. The one girl looks at me, looks at the man and says can I help you. I spoke up and said oh I was waiting. She goes well the line forms here. I asked when was a line policy posted bc I've never heard of that before. She tells me to talk on line so I do and she starts to ask the man what he wants. I said I had been here for 5 minutes prior to the man getting there and she said he's ahead of you on line. I know it was 5 minutes bc I took a picture of a block of parmigiana cheese and sent it to my husband to ask if he wanted it so that's why I know it was 5 minutes wait time. I asked if they had a salad and they both said no as loud and as rude as possible. I asked again where the sign was for the line and they told me no. I found a manager and was speaking with him when one of the girls came out and was saying I wasn't waiting. Thankfully the manager was kind and helpful but I still will never step foot in a Food Lion again. The nasty employees should be ashamed of themselves and if that is a new rule, maybe signage needs to be posted.

At all of our Food Lion's in Roanoke Rapids,, there are only two registers open with customers waiting all the way down the aisles. This is an unacceptable daily occurrence. Better hiring and scheduling practices must be observed if you intend to have Market share.I Will no longer shop at your store and I spend $1200 a month.

The food loin in wingate Nc.it's been 11 weeks and they still don't have frozen cauliflower in stock.I've told the manager and the stock boy.and I buy squash and it just lasts 2 days.third day you have to throw it away.then when you have a sale they don't have any of it.you need to replace them.

In Morehead city nc Foodlion-had already bought 5 bags of Crablegs that were on sale for a family gathering that night-went to register and paid for my Crablegs and was headed out the door pushing my cart when I was stopped by an associate saying there was a 3 bag limit on the Crablegs and I needed to return two bags-she proceeded to reach in my cart and took two bags out-I said at least let me choose the bags I wanted-I did not see any limits on the sign nor on the website-mind you all this was done infront of customers-mind you this was about 5:00pm and I could count the bags on my fingers that were left-she said we need to have some for other customers-I will not shop there again!

Hey live in Calhoun ga off 315 exit I-75 red bud rd.I shop a lot at the food loin there I'm also an over the road driver it's a shame shame that a Hugh company like food loin buys property next to them there with nothing on it and won't even open it up to truck park but guarantee u they would take a drivers money in a min and they expect a driver to be there on time with there product wish we could have a trucker strike see how these big corporations would do then when they lose millions a day

My wife and I live in Belmont NC near the pebble creek store. We have been shopping there for years we are both elderly so mobility is an issue for us. Our problem is that the pebble creek store is becoming very difficult to get into I normally drop my wife off at the door and then park the car but they are allowing so many cars to park by the doors next to the building that it's difficult to even drop her off at the door and then when you come out of the store there are panhandlers or alcoholics standing or sitting next to the door. Your help with this matter would be appreciated or we may have to find another store to shop at.

After going into to Food Loin in Harrisburg on Harris Houston Road. I notice the Chitterling by Smithfield was priced $39.99 a 10 pound bucket. This same bucket last year was $11.99 for a 10 pound bucket. I feel this is targeting a certain group of individuals that enjoy this meat at this time of year. Turkeys was not marked this high and besides that point, Walmart had the same bucket for $13.94. This is price gouging and they are targeting a certain group of people.

Okay so I am a employee at food lion on cooksey st In Thomasville nc and the manager ericka smith is not a good manger or person in general she treats people vary hatful like and try's to embarrass the front end employees about what they are going wrong (loudly tells them informs of customers) this needs to be handle and also I have been promised 40 hours and I'm lucky if I get 3 days of work a week this needs to be HANDLED

I have shopped at the 4392 Sté 118 Holland Rd Food Lion for over 20 years. Recently, a decision has been made to allow customers entrance through both doors but exit only through one. If one parks near the entrance only door, it means crossing the entire parking lot to get back to the car. I've seen mothers trying to manage a grocery cart and their children through traffic. It's also difficult for senior citizens or the handicapped. I believe it's an attempt to discourage shop lifters, but other stores are not using this approach. I doubt an entrance only sign will deter a thief and it certainly isn't worth aggravating legitimate customers like myself. Thank you.

Food Lion private label sandwich bread:
Last year my friends and family were thrilled when I tried food Lion white bread out of desperation because all the branded breads have changed their formula, or baking venues and their bread is coarse, yellow, not mixed well resulting in a swirl pattern on the slices. The taste is also terrible and bears no resemblance to "white bread" as we have know it for decades. When I tried Food Lion label and it was just as we remembered white bread, I told every when and soon it was flying off the shelf! It wasn't unusual for any of us to drive from store to store, even 20 miles away, to get that bread. Managers assured us because it was such a big seller "food Lion will not dare change it".
Well, I've just thrown out my fourth loaf over the last four weeks because it is awful! It has the same characteristics of all the branded products! Why have you changed it? It is an inferior product now, and as true Southerners will attest- one simply cannot make proper pimento or tomato sandwiches on such awful bread! Please please correct what's going wrong in your baking facilities!!!

Please train employees on how to bag groceries. On two different occasions cold, wet items were placed in paper bags. I always request paper and plastic. On the last trip fresh, wet, greens were placed in a paper bag. This should be covered in training.

We love to shop at FL in Fountain Inn SC. But have beenavoiding going there lately because it is SO COLD. Even the cashiers are cold. The manager says he cannot do anything about it because you control the temperature in North Carolina.

I am too old to have to use self checkout. Food Lion on Dick pond Rd Socastee SC. They just put in 4 self check outs ok but now they only have 1 register open everytime I go in. It takes me 30 minutes in line because I'm not able to scan and bag all my groceries. I stop shopping Walmart because of this and now Food Lion does the same thing its a shame you choose money over your customers and employees!!

Me and my wife where confronted by store a manager named Bryan Oswald 7:00am this morning because my wife took a bite out of a 54 cent plum the plum was Paid for but yet 5 police showed up to the store looking to take us down I had almost 1000 dollars worth of food In my cart that I had to leave behind because we where being stereotyped as theifs or beggars the whole ordeal was really hard to deal with. when u hear about it on the news or tv it's one thing but when it's right in your face it really hits hard this guy does not need to be a Manger or in charge of anything

I told my daughter about the incident that happened to me at Food Lion in Warsaw and she said that same individual tried to make her feel like she was lying. She placed a to go order and did not receive her chicken from the deli.. she went back later that day with receipt and manager still assumed that she was not being truthful., stating that.. you know I can't just give you the chicken ( He wasn't giving her anything, she paid for it and did not receive it) The person that handled her ordered confirmed that she did not receive it and had called back prior to returning to the store.

Please teach your store managers that not everyone is a thief and SHOULD NOT be made to feel like one. When they call for an employee to go down an aisle out of the blue and you're the only one on the aisle sand did not ask for help. And then not one but two employees come down where you're at talking about, what's going on that manager call you down aisle 8? He could've came himself, viewed the camera as well and he would've felt like the fool that he is. I was just on my phone loading coupons before checking out.

The Food Lion on Remount Avenue in North Charleston has some of the rudest employees Ive ever encountered. While certainly not the first rude encounter with an employee at the store, it is most definitely my last. This week as I stood in line to check out in the express lane, where there is a sign that lierally says "about 12 items" I encountered non stop verbal bashing and complaining from the cashier because I has 13 items. Yes thirteen, I counted. She not only yammered on and on to the customer in front of me about me and how terrible the customers are and how she needs to find a new job, she, despite me remaining polite and friendly went on and on to me complaining and insulting me and tossing my items with resentment. My response? I turned on my heel and walked out, leaving the groceries I had wanted to buy behind. I no longer shop there as a result. If youre employees can not muster an ounce of respect for the customers that help support your business, you have a problem. The meat dept men are rude, the vendors who restock are rude and in general , it's all too unpleasant. The Lowes Supermarket is further away, but they have my business because their staff is respectful and friendly- maybe take a page out of their playbook- eh?

Disc discriminatory practices in Charlottesville Virginia all Food Lion stores accept EBT EBT as payment method but none offers delivery. I am elderly and disabled I depend on EBT for all my food purchases. I depend on my Social Security benefits to pay my rent and health items -- not food. I was injured recently and discovered that I have no way to get food. The other major grocery stores in my area do not accept EBT payment online through Instacart, and I have no other funds to pay for food; however, they will deliver. To get food I must have a store that both accepts EBT and delivers.

A Food Lion in Strasburg Virginia will deliver and it also accepts EBT. Why are there no stores (out of four) in Charlottesville, Virginia that deliver? Please address this gap in service ASAP.

Concerning Food Lion in Chocowinity,NC 27817
North Carolina Mask Mandate not being enforced at this store. They have a very nice young lady outside of the store today but no one is being stopped from entering the store and told to wear a mask. I literally had to stop one woman myself and she said she didn't have one. I sent her over to the employee who gave her a mask. It is not my duty as a customer to do that. This store compared to others is one of the worst in the area with mask compliance.
Why don't you hire a security guard to handle customers and mask compliance instead of leaving it t a sweet,young girl ? I am tired of complying when others don't. I am a Registered Nurse and I want this Pandemic over more than you know.....but f I can't rely on my local,food store to enforce compliance ,I just will take my business elsewhere.
On another note, there are several employees in this particular Food Lion who need training in Customer Service....friendliness is not their specialty !

I am writing about the only Food Lion in Strasburg Va.. I have been shopping there for almost 16yrs now and never have I been humiliated by a Manager before until the other day. I have a small 6 lb Yorkie that I've had for 2yrs now and take him almost everywhere I go. I keep him in his carrier case and he is always quiet. I've been taking him with me for 2yrs now when I shop at Food Lion. In these 2yrs I have been around the Managers and nothing has ever been said to me. A few days ago I go to do my shopping and I see 1 of the Male Managers while shopping and he even helped me to get something off the shelf, so I thanked him. the same Manager about 10min later said in a very loud voice MAM-MAM YOU ARE NOT ALOUD TO HAVE A DOG IN THE CART I DON'T CARE IF ITS A SERVICE DOG, THEY CANT BE IN THE CART ITS AGAINST OUR RULES!! Well it is around 5 in the evening and more people shopping at that time. Like I said the dog is in his carrier case on the upper part of the cart. I was surprised and embarrassed of the loud and rude tone he used and so disrespectful to me as a costumer. For a Manager to treat a costumer in front of other costumers in this way is very unprofessional. This Manager does not have the Management skills needed and is not a people person. A good Manager would have taken me off to the side and explain to me what the policy was and that would have been fine but he caused a seen in front of everyone. not only did he do that but when I proceeded on with the carrier case in hand I went down a few isles and could hear in a loud voice this Manager talking about me to someone saying "yeah and I told her she had to take that dog out of the cart." Needless to say I did not finish my shopping. I hope they will train these Managers on how to treat their costumers.

I just think that management at store number # 2154 in Greenwood SC needs to have better attitude with management all the managers except the meat assistant is nasty when they have a bad day they take it out on the cashiers. I have been a customer of (now) Food Lion whem it was Ketner's' then Food Town; a period of non-compete; and now Food Lion (am 85 yrs old, do not drive, must use a cane and/or walker/ I do enjoy 'shopping in the grocery (usually several times a month-could order but enjoy seeing 'what is new', etc. Several days ago, I discovered the drop-off parking area at Food Lion, South Church St., Burlington, NC has been barracaded; I understand your problem with customers ignoring 'no parking'; however, your solution creates REAL problems for individuals (handicapped) and I question whether emergency vehicles can access the store and this area if necessary. You may wish to 'rethink' your current solution-Please!

Food Lion is owned by a Dutch conglomerate that apparently has no respect for the Flag of the United Stated. The US Flag is the shining symbol of the USA. It is not a political statement. Pretty sad that the Food Lion corporate elitists deny an Air Force veteran from wearing a mask with the flag on it.
Suffice is to say that we will be doing our food shopping elsewhere and will encourage the same of family and friends.

Why would Food Lion ban mask with American flag on it. My husband works for FL and at his facility some of the black women were wearing"I can't breathe" masks. How is this considered non racists? Is the ban on the flag due to the company being owned by someone in another country? :( Food Lion used to be a good company to shop at and to work for. It has been going down hill for YEARS now.

Just want to say that I have shopped Food Lion before that name, when it was Food Town, at the original store. But, I am so upset (my nice word) about the recently reported incident with an employee named Gary Dean (former employee, as he has now quit his employment) because he was all-of-a-sudden prohibited from wearing a face mask with the American FLAG emblem. I read the news article which cited the action was taken because it is corporate policy. IF that is the case then FOOD LION CORPORATE POLICY WRONG ! Corporate Policy in this incident needs to be rewritten so that wearing of an AMERICAN FLAG design by an employee, in any form, is not in contradiction with corporate policy. I feel strongly enough about this that I would change store brands if it is allowed to continue, AND I am sharing my feelings with all who will listen by all means available. I do understand the need for a uniform policy to cover common and uncommon issues, but this one is absolutely wrong. Someone needs to address this IMMEDIATELY, before your brand begins to suffer dire consequences. I dare say you will lose many more longtime loyal customers than me and my family.

I need someone from Corporate to contact me by phone. 619-888-5270. Bought items in a store today. $1000 worth and had issues with them. Went back to store to resolve it and I was treated disrespectfully and it was distasteful. I was ignored, spoken to if I had lied and stollen and the Manager of the day had no respect for customer service. After being approached by "Brian" the manager of the day, he didn't want to hear my story. He never pulled me in a private setting and wanted to cause a scene. Now I'm short 400 dollars because apparently I can't be reimbursed. Someone needs to call. I'm an active duty Service member, and never treated like this. I told him he was going to lose customer and he didn't care.

I find it very hard to believe that you wold choose to shut down the pharmacies in the bi-lo stores you purchased. A lot of seniors depends on these to get their medication while they shop. Please don't take our pharmacies from us, they are a asset to the stores.

I just tried to shop at a food lion in Cherokee, NC. We were turned away because we are not permanent residents nor a member of the Eastern band of Cherokees. I've shopped there before when I was vacationing here. I will NEVER step foot in this food lion again no matter how many times I vacation here. I will drive all the way to Bryson City to the IGA before I go there again. Seems mighty discriminatory to me!!
