I Bought a GE-GFW550SPN2DG Washer Machine. Machine is less than 1 years old when it broke August 23, 2023. It is now December 19, 2023. I have been dealing with GE repair men, who order parts that have not been installed.They say washer is fixed still not working. Now What?

I bought a GE refrigerator and oven on 4-16-23, they were delivered on 5-9 23 and we started using them on 5-14-23. On 11-12-23 we noticed the temperatures of the refrigerator dropping. On 11-14-23 I made my first call of 16 to GE for warranty help. I have been stood up on 3 different occasions by their choice of repair options. Today, 12-14-23 someone was supposed to be here between 8 and 5. At 6p.m. I received an email saying my repair date has been rescheduled to 12-27-23. There is no way for me to call them to request an earlier date, or to get any information at all. I went to the store where I bought these products (ABC Warehouse, Ft Wayne IN) on 11-30-23 and spoke to Kevin Hauff, who sold me the items, only to be scolded for not buying their "extended warranty" and got the brush off from them. This is ridiculous that GE has such inferior products and can't provide the warranty service they claim they offer and the stores don't do anything but make you feel bad for not paying extra for help if it is needed. I'm going on 33 days without a refrigerator that I paid $1400.00 for and looking at another 2 weeks until someone comes to do diagnostics on it and then who knows how long until it actually gets fixed. And all during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays!!! I will NEVER buy a GE piece of junk again!!!! And, I have realized that I am not alone in this dilemma, everywhere I look, the reviews and complaints are the same! How can GE be ok with this? I am sick of your "no customer service" and your "it sucks to be you warranty"!!!!!!!!! I am now going to be forced to join all the social media groups stuck in the same dilemma, and report to BBB and seek legal council. Not at all what I thought when I put my trust and faith into your product and company. Anyone affiliated with GE should be ashamed of themselves!

Right now I am a little annoyed that I have to pay another $200 to have somebody fix my dryer which is only 17 months old, for the second time. Is this something I'm gonna have to do every six months? I'm not too happy about GE at the moment. Model number GTD4EASJ2WW. What can you do about this?

I purchased a GE Christmas tree in November 2018 on a black Friday sale. I had eyed this tree for over a year and finally just decided to get it on sale since it was a pricey tree. I already had a tree up for that year so did not use it until 2019. This tree was my pride and joy and I was so in love with it. It is a 7.5 foot Aspen Fir with color-changing lights. The lights had so many different color options and it played Christmas music. It was up for about six weeks last year. We put it up last week and it was again my pride and joy. Luckily, we had not decorated it yet. It was lit the night we put it up and for about 20 minutes after I turned it on the next morning. After that 20 minutes, the lights started turning off and on a few times and then the tree was dark. We tried different outlets, unplugging and plugging in the device that connects to the tree with the speaker attached to no avail. We have a beautiful unlit tree. I called GE's support line three different times and did not get any resolution. Their support is in India and the language barrier was too much. They did not understand me. I left messages twice for their corporate office and have not received a call back. I looked online for a replacement part that I think we need and it does not seem to exist. I ordered a new adapter since that was all that I saw as an option but that did not work. I believe there is a short in the cord with the speaker attached. This tree is no longer sold anywhere. I am so extremely sad and disappointed in GE. I now own a pricy unlit tree that I got to use for ONE season. Shame on GE and their lack of customer service. I will never purchase a GE product again.

GE distributed this product (GE 7250269 Emergency Switch Flashing Light Activator). This item was great switch that enabled a 911 emergency vehicle to locate you home at night, which probably save many lives. I don't understand why GE stopped supplying these to the public.
I bought one about ten years ago and have used it twice. A lot of seniors in this country would probably them if they were advertised on TV ad demonstrated how they work. I should have bought several of them at the time. Let me know why GE stopped supplying these.

I am very upset with GE at this point. As I flip houses in the Louisville Kentucky area I ordered a 33" refrigerator in May 2020 in the mist of Covid19. Shortly thereafter I was told everything is on backorder. I understand that things were on hold for a brief hold but I have since sold a property with no refrigerator and continually being told it is still on back order. It is now the end of September a d I am being told now that the in transit date is November 18, 2020. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I could have made my own refrigerator in China and shipped and delivered myself by now. PISS POOR SERVICE ON GE's PART.

I normally don't leave bad reviews, but I'm extremely frustrated. What kind of company is this? I spent over $2,000 on a brand new washer and dryer set - had to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered, only to have the washer not work and need to be replaced. So after fighting for hours with rude, and I mean very rude, customer service, they tell me they will replace it. It's scheduled for another 2 weeks out. I called 3 times within those 2 weeks to make sure it was all on track and my delivery would arrive on time.. only to not receive a call the night before delivery, so I call and have them tell me it's not in the schedule. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! So then they ARE again EXTREMELY RUDE, and schedule me for another 2 weeks - it was suppose to be delivered today, between 12-4. Wouldn't you know it, it can't be delivered!! I'm done. Y'all can take your $2,000 and shove that washer and dryer right where the sun don't shine. Worse company ever and I will never have anyone I know buy from you again!!!!!!!

I have never written a review, good or bad. This is truly warranted. Purchased a microwave may 30 2020, 33 days later it broke. Lowes would only refund w/in 30 days. Had to contact GE. Horrible customer service, rude and impatient. It's their way only, to keep your money. Would not refund me, initially they were going to send me another one. 2
Weeks later they email me that they no longer have them in their warehouse, told me to go by another GE appliance and they would refund that one after I mail them the reciept. I will NEVER by GE!!

2nd new dryer came today broken in back right out of box ! First one dryer did not tumble defective. Sold be Home Depot ! We bought these on line over three weeks ago and had to wSit all this time for a replacement dryer because of first one being defectives. I wish to hell we had nott purchased from Home Depot and wished we had not settled on GE ! . The 3 rd dryer is scheduled for delivery next Wed and if this one is broken Hone Depot can take both the new washer and dryer back and we will never buy GE again! We will also cancel our Home Depot account . Absolutely unacceptable no quality control !!

GE slate dishwasher model GDT655SMJ0ES has a part used (part # WD19X25278) that is a known problem by them. It is a plastic part with a rubber hose that plastic welded to the part so you cant just replace the hose and have to replace the whole part. The rubber deteriorates very fast, mine only took two years but other have report as soon as 3-6 months. They replaced this failed part with something else but are now charging its customer $90 for this new part that they know is bad. There is no way this part costs more that $10 to make. Doing research online and many people are all complaining of the same issue but still force you to pay $90 for their bad part.

My GE double wall ovens came in the brand new home my husband and I purchased in September 2019 and I used them for 2 months until I did a self cleaning and they went out and this is where it all begins. From December 2019 (my first appointment) until this current moment I still don't have wall ovens and it's now February 2020. I'm constantly calling and I'm consistently on hold for 10-15 mins at a time. I am frustrated and extremely upset with GE. I just want my ovens to work. The sad part is they replaced the old ovens and now the new ovens don't work. We've had an electrician come out and check the electrical outlet but that wasn't the issue. I'm sitting here on hold it's been almost 15 mins since I spoke to someone just for them to tell me that they can't help me and transfer me. I am furious. 45 mins and counting.

I purchased model 4 YRS AGO AND THIS Washer has been nothing but trouble. Today service tells me it will cost over $600.00 to replace the transmission. I feel after 4 yrs old there should be some rebate towards this washer.

Absolutely the worse customer service I have experienced. My family has been without a working GE Profile Refrigerator (that is still under warranty) for 5 weeks! Yes, 5 weeks. No accountability to make this a priority even thought each time they come, it is considered an "emergency." When my husband made arrangements with a so called Customer Service Manger to have the third repair guy at our home at 4:00PM, yes because after three visits that were on GE's schedule, and our frig is still not fixed, but husband demanded this be convenient for our family. You guessed it, GE arrived at our home at 2:01PM! My husband and I will do everything within our means to make sure that not only swift action is being taken against GE, but we will get a brand new frig out of this! In addition, we have logged a formal complaint with the BBB against GE. Here we are 5 days before Thanksgiving 2015 and I do not have anyway to store food for the holiday. This is BUYER BE AWARE if you need to get a warranty item fixed on any of your GE appliances, GE will do nothing to assist you and be prepared for your repair to take 30+ days if they attempt to try to! UNSATISFACTORY CUSTOMER SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND! Yes, I want someone from GE to contact me and I will provide you a time line of everything that has taken place from the day the first service call was placed to current. So many details not documented here, but this will allow a consumer to see the poor level of service your company has provided! I hope the Executive Board at GE has a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, because my family will not because of them!

Most horrendous customer service experience in my life! There is no accountability, responsibility or empathy by anyone at GE Customer Service, scheduling or Customer "Relations". Also, apparently no manager exists as they will not allow you to talk to one. Buy GE at your own RISK!

I bought a GE washing machine less than one year ago and I have had 5 different attempts to fix it by GE service men. Customer service told me go to the laundromat until the repairman was able to fix it and he has not. They will not replace my machine. I will never buy from GE again!!

I was reading reviews on GE appliances because I too have a GE - Profile Model PGSS5NFXSS - Bought this Nov 08 and it stopped working last week. Had West End Appliance come out for repairs ($89.00 service call) and found out that the motherboard and the variable speed compressor went out and it would cost $1300.00 to repair the refrigerator. This is a beautiful looking frig... I would like to think that you can offer me some type of gift card towards another...the other appliances were bought at the same time and I do not want to mix n match to get what I had. I am emailing to this address because this is the email listed. Please get back to me. It is freezing out side...I mean everything is frozen, milk and all, I lost at least $200+ in groceries as it is. Please respond as early as possible or call me

2 weeks ago fire dept. checked for gas leaks in my home and found the stove was emitting carbon monoxide poison. Which evidently, in past few months, caused dizziness and falling resulting in hospital visit checking injuries,ect.{ which are still accruing}.-Firemen instructions was followed-Vacate house for 5 days with windows open. Do not turn on gas to stove and get same repaired. or new stove{ the later was done}. Followup on my part ?

GE Profile Refrigerator, well I have been fitting with the GE company now for several months because the fridge has randomly stopped cooling and the freezer remains fine. Days later when the repair man appears for my scheduled appointment, my fridge starts to work again. I tell the man about the frequency of the fridge not cooling and then going back on. There is nothing a repair man can do until he is here when the problem is happening. So now several months after loosing hundreds of dollars and still no resolution when the repair man comes to my house....what is a US consumer to do. Well GE offers me a discount to buy another one. I ask them to take the fridge and give me a loaner and repair my fridge. I have been sold a Lemon, the lemon law is in effect and now GE needs to make good with the US consumer.

I Have A Ge Dryer That Is About 8 Years Old. It Continues To Dey My Clothes Well However The Plastic Surrounding The Inner Drum Is Breaking Off Piece By Piece!!!! I Hate To Buy Another Dryer, But Mine Sounds Like 10 Pairs Of Tennis Shoes Rumbling Inside When I'm Drying Clothes. After Reading Comments On Ge, Maybe I Need To Change Brands!!

I have had two different GE washing machines which both failed the same way. The casting that mounts to the bottom of the inner tub fell apart and disintegrated. The last machine is only 5 years old and I decided to fix it. GE does not offer the part I need. They only offer the entire inner tub assembly that cost more than the original purchase price of the washer. I upgraded to a stainless steel tub expecting the machine to last longer but it uses the same crappy casting as the base model. I contacted GE customer support and spoke to three different people only to have them tell me the same thing I already knew from researching parts on the internet. Only one of the three seemed concerned but the last person (level 3) was rude and not helpful. I thought at least if they couldn't provide the part I needed they could at least document and pass my information to engineering since clearly they have a material defect in the hub casting. But no such luck. They were unwilling to help me. I will not purchase GE products again. Samsung and LG make nice appliances.

I have a GE Profile Refrigerator/freezer that is several years old. The problem is that it keeps freezing up around the fan/drain. I keep thawing it out( at least 6 times ) but it continues to freeze up. Unfortunately when the ice forms around the fan, everything in the unit goes bad. Buying a new fridge is way beyond my budget as I am a Senior Citizen on a fixed budget. Any help would be appreciated

I am very disappointed with the GE Profile Range we purchased just 2 years ago. Model PB920SPISS. The digital panel and mother board no longer work. We have been scamed out of $290.00 by an bogus GE Appliance repairmen. Finally we had an authorized GE repairman come to our home on April 26, 2013. Parts had to be ordered and John, the repairman, said the parts would be sent to our house, the following week.

The parts arrived on Thursday, May 2rd. John came the next day on Friday. PROBLEM: ThE wrong parts were sent. John Called in to GE and said the correct parts would be sent OVERNIGHT. And he said he would be back the next day, Saturday, to complete the job. Well the parts did not arrive until TODAY, Monday.

I called John on his cel phone to let him know that the parts came and that he could come and install them. He said "Today is my his day off" and that I had to call GE to re-schudule. I called GE, got alot of recordings and finally when I spoke with a person, she said I would have to pay another service call.

BOTTOM LINE: I CALLED JOHN AGAIN BECAUSE HE PROMISED TO COME BACK AND FINISH THE JOB. HE ALSO QUOTED ME A TOTAL PRICE. I HAD TO LEAVE HIM A MESSAGE.

Why should we have to pay any more, when it is GE's fault for sending the wrong parts and it happened to be the repairman's DAYOFF when the parts arrived.

He, John, should at least re-schudule a day to return.

I purchased an Advantium 120 microwave in Dec 2005 at a cost of over $700. The kitchen in which it is installed is a vacation home, and the appliance does not get heavy use. In 2010, the interior illumination light went out. I called GE service. The technician replaced the $7.75 light bulb, located in an area inaccessible to the consumer. My total bill for the visit was close to $150 for parts/labor and a $7.75 bulb. I was told the bulb was guaranteed for 5 years. Now, two years later, the bulb that was guaranteed for 5
years went out in less than 3. GE came again today; the serviceman did not have the necessary replacement bulb but said it could be ordered, and handed me an estimate for another visit once he had the bulb. The cost was close to $300! This is outrageous! I am expected to pay for another service call and a big labor charge which would have been unnecessary if the guaranteed part had not failed. GE sells an expensive microwave, then designs light bulbs inaccessible to consumers so that the simplest failure in operation cannot be remedied except by paying GE AGAIN to fix it. I will think twice about buying another GE product if this is the kind of consumer relations and service you want to maintain. I say buyer beware!

I purchased a washer and dryer from ge 7 months ago brand new. The washer is a top loader and has not worked properly since. The washer produces a foul odor when washing clothes. I have tried everything. A ge technician has been out 3 times to look at machine. He stated he found nothing wrong with it. Ge customer service was terrible and most unfriendly and didn't seem to care. I called corporate office and spoke to Wendy gillion, manager in chairmans office. She seemed to be uncaring and stated that was not covered under manufacturers warranty. My clthes have a horrible smell and have to take them to laundry mat to washem them. I spent iver 850 on this machine. I have never been so frustrated and unsastisfied in a product. I DO NOT recommended buying a GE washer and dryer. Not a reliable product and did I mention customer service was horrible all the way to corporate!

I bought an electric slide-in range in May 2012. I have never been satisfied with it. I have had many repairmen out and they say there is nothing they can do because it's not "broken" - this is how the unit is "designed" to function and the design is flawed. The stovetop elements will not maintain a steady temperature - they flare red hot and then cut off to black. The only difference is the ratio of red time to black time. Even with dial as low as possible, inside circle of front right element flares to red and I can't keep anything on a low simmer without constantly having to stir it. They replaced a switch and it helped slightly but the same problems persist. In order to get outer ring hot enough, food in center still burns. I got new cookware for Christmas and even though it is JUST what is recommended for this unit, it doesn't help. Cooking has been my hobby for 30 years and I don't enjoy cooking (or baking for that matter - the oven doesn't heat evenly either)anymore. If I follow package/recipe instructions, my final product does not turn out as it should. I have cooked with both gas and electric for many years and have never had these problems anywhere before. I spent a great deal of money on this unit and would simply like to return it for credit on another model. I purchased it at Pacific Sales in Costa Mesa, CA. I even purchased the extended waranty. Please help me.

I PURCHASED A WASHER AND DRYER FOR 1400. THE RINSE CYCLE WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND IT WAS SERVICED TWICE WITHIN 6 MONTHS.I CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE AND HE GAVE ME AN OPTION TO FIX IT WITH AN ADDITIONAL 6 MONTH WARRANTY STATING IF ANY THING ELSE WENT WRONG THEY WOULD REPLACE IT. I FEEL MR BOWER WAS NOT VERY HELPFUL AND HE TELLS ME HE IS NOT COMFORTABLE REPLACING THE MACHINE. MY MOTHER IS 75 AND SHE LIVES ALONE SO I PURCHASED A LEMON AND HE WANTS TO TAKE HIS DEAR TIME REFUNDING ME. I PURCHASED THIS MACHINE FOR HER SO SHE DOES'NT HAVE TO WALK DOWN THE STREET TO DO LAUNDRY.i AM DONE WITH GE THERE APPLIANCES ARE JUNK AND I AM SPREADINGTHIS ALL OVER FACE BOOK.

GE was one of my favorite products until I had a question on my GE alarm. No one from GE has been able to help answer a simple question. I will tell everyone not to purchase a home security system from GE. No one seems to know anything about them. I had the run around from GE on the phone for 2 1/2 hours and still do not have a answer. GE needs to get their act together or close their doors. Not the GE company I grew up with. I would think they are the same on all products, good at taking the consumers money. But can not back or don't know their product. I was even giving the Florida reps number only that jerk don't answer his phone. LAST GE PRODUCT for me and anyone I know.

I have had my GE gas dryer repaired 2 times for the same problem and now have to wait on hold and deal with customer service agents who are the worst because it is broken again, did I mention this dryer was purchased new 5 months ago? I am waitng for an insurance claim concerning the ruined clothes from said dryer for the last month with no follow up with those people. I wish I never bought this machine. The customer phone system is awful. Can't reach a live person and then when you do they don't care, they "accidently" disconnect from you. I will never ever buy GE again.
