IHOP Corporate Office Comments

Posted by Hope something gets done

So I am currently working at this location. I am not Putting my name out there or anyone else in the name out there. But if corporate knows who this person /owner of this franchise is Then I hope they do their research and get someone to do a undercover eat in our something But I have been working for this. Ihop at this location for sometime . It was taken over by a new owner/franchiseee. He is currently the owner/ manager at the same time. Because he does not wanna pay someone manager wage. We have lost well. I have lost I know for a fact many Repeating customers since he has started at this location.due to his kitchen employees that he brought over from his other Supposedly ihop location. He has in South somewhere, Alabama or Louisiana, I think. Also, all the servers that are working currently at this location are doing other job descriptions then what servers should only be doing due to not wanting to Pay more then server wage For example, theirs no hostess ,bus boys. Manger to go order person He is never there, but when we have a issue. He says to text him if there's an issue. He blames us if there's a problem even if it's not our fault. And it's his fault he does not admit fault you can get the hint Anyways
We just started to be a 24 hour location. Only on the weekends the servers that worked over night were promised $**.00/hour and were not paid $xx.**/hour. He promises all these things to these employees & when it comes down to it
The conversation he ignores it or Leave the restaurant or ignores the text messages says I'm too busy. He says it's his way or the highway basically. He does not care about the law.us servers/employees Are afraid to confront him due to being fired bc We picked a job like this for a reason because we get paid Daily And he has other employees stealing from the restaurants or stealing from the customers. Putting their own tips on the checks and no one is confronted or fired . He ignores it, give the in customer some excuse. He says something will be done but nothing ever gets done. He does not do anything. We have sone employees coming in high as a kite he dont care but it hurts me n other customers He has his wife working as a server. But she's getting paid something else. He's using ihop's money to open up. Another restaurant that he is currently opening up very shortly in a location nearby. I would like something done if possible. Because there's a possibility a lawsuit. But I don't wanna go to that. Thanks for reading hope something gets done from Anonymous employee at.
Allentown location ihop.

Something has got to be done about your location on I-55 South in Jackson, Mississippi. The last three times I have visited that location the service has gotten progressively worse. On my and my wife's visit today, Dec 25, 2023 was the worst experience we've ever had. The waiter started out being very helpful but that went south very quickly. My wife ordered water and I ordered sweet tea. (We're talking 3:00 pm.) He came back about 15 minutes later to inform me that they had run out of sweet tea and were only serving unsweetened the rest of the day. Then 15 minutes later he returned and there would be no tea available for at least an hour. He went ahead and took our food order. 45 minutes later we find out the order had even been turned into the kitchen. The "General Manager" came to talk to another customer and I ask him if they were having to go to the henhouse to get 3 eggs, he back to kitchen to see what was happening and discovered that the order hadn't even been turned in. He apologized but 10 minutes later, still no food. We just got up and left and went to Dennys, which was full because of them had also left that IHOP because of the lack of concern for its customers. I can tell you the problem with that location but it would just go in one ear and the other; it's run totally by blacks that would rather have their "tunes" up high and simply ignoring the customers and the white Gen. Mgr. didn't seem to care or couldn't do anything about it. I don't even go in McDonald's in the area anymore because they are run by blacks that just plainly don't care. I won't be back to that location Ever again!!!!!!!

I have ate at the I Hop in Oxford Alabama since it opened 20+ years. It recently changed hands or management and the service has gone to the dogs! The servers are quit good and extremely pleasant but the food service is pitiful. It is not uncommon to stand waiting to be logged in for seating for 10 minutes or more. No one at the front of the store to greet and seat. I have seen many couples and groups leave because no one would acknowledge that they were there. I used to eat there 4 to 5 times a week but have dropped to 1 or 2 times a week now. In the last 5 times I have been there 3 of those times my food came out cold. It was not the servers fault as I heard them call her name and she brought my food right to the table. They also seem to be out of a lot of items on the menu since the new management has taken over. I do like I Hop and try to eat at one when I travel. But the Oxford store has been my home store for a long time and I hate to leave but it seems to be an unpleasant place to eat anymore. Resending message, not sure if the first one was sent successfully.
11/4/23 - IHOP on 180 Aiken Mail We Arrived here about 5:30p. Mgrs name is Susie or Susan???
My family and I ordered our meal. Meal came out in timely manner, a little cold but that was not the problem. The problem occurred as I am trying to eat I hear a ruckus on the other side of the structure where we are sitting, kitchen is on that side I assume. I hear Arguing, fussing and fighting. Complaints about cleaning, who's doing what and who's not doing what and on and on. It was loud and frankly getting on my nerves. I had all I could stand. I could not finish my meal. I asked for a Mgr. This was quite unprofessional, embarrassing to say the least. The mgr is summoned, presents to our table and lo and behold it was her mouth I heard, the loudest one. She stated "oh, I'm sorry in a matter of fact tone, almost sarcastically as If she didn't know. I told her it was very unprofessional and difficult to enjoy a meal when listening to all that arguing or fussing. I asked her, was that you making all that noise snd she responded "yes." At this point there really was nothing that could be done because I was disgusted and wanted to leave. I asked my husband to let me out so I could sit in the car and wait till he and my daughter were done. This is very poor mgmt, customer service/relations. When my husband and daughter got to the car, he stated that she took my meal of the ticket. That did not help calm my nerves and regardless should have never have happened. That is not a good way to run a business. She needs training in customer service, how to communicate with her staff, be a leader and be an example to her staff, not the ringleader.
I have never experienced such a thing in my life. Very unprofessional.
Please get her some training!!!

I frequently eat at the IHOP in Boca Raton, Fl. on Glades RD and St Rd 7. Tonight I went there and was greeted by Jayson, who explained that he was the only server tonight and it would take a little time. It was ok by me! I have to say that Jayson was amazing! He handled a nice amount of customers by himself. The food was hot and he was so nice. It didn't take long at all. He really stepped up to the plate. The people in the restaurant were all calm and happy. He set the tone for that. He worked very hard and he should be commended for a job very well done!

We were at the IHOP in Garner, NC, the place had customers but was not busy. We were seated and sat over 15min with no recognition from any staff. We decided to leave and a waitress was there and I asked her if we were her table and was told they were short staffed and there was no one waiting in that section but she sort of grunted and said she would wait on us but we told her we were going elsewhere and she did nothing to keep us as customers. Will never go back to this IHOP, it goes from bad to worse, management sucks

I cannot comprehend why you removed from your menu 'Harvest nut and grain' pancakes. Many of our friends, us included, came just for those religious pancakes. Probably we will go elsewhere from now on. Disapppointed!!!

We are currently at IHOP in Hampton, VA and their service sucks! I don't even like making bad reviews I'm always pleasant and keep quiet because I know it's a tough job but this is ridiculous we been here 3 hours and just got our drinks there was tables available just not clean and we waited 1 and a half but told 25 min wait we get our table and waited 30 min just to speak to someone about who was waiting our table no one ever came!! Then when they did she took our order and said she'd be back with drinks.....25 min to get drinks who knows how long it's going to take eat at this point I'm curious so I'll wait......they need management this here sucks looking at all tables no one's happy self for the many that came in after these tables and been served food and drinks!!!! Imagine that

Please check on the iHop in Pleasanton Tx. It is terrible and literally falling apart. Service and food is so bad. Read the Yelp reviews. They have a generous 2star rating.

I went to the IHOP in Richmond Kentucky this morning. They posted a sign that they were short staffed and there were about eight people waiting in the lobby. The restaurant was not full at all because I saw plenty of empty tables. The issue I had, was that nobody was acknowledging the people that walked in, and gave their party size. I simple just stood there for 5 minutes before I decided to just write my name down on their waiting list. Now being so short handed isn't that bad of an issue, but it reflected poorly on the place. I then began to question the quality of their work and if my food would even be cooked good enough. If they're that short staff then what kind of meal am I going to get. I waited for another ten minutes and I just felt that I wasn't going to get the quality food that I was expecting, and left.

Today we visited IHOP on Laurel Canyon in North Hollywood for I don't know how many times we've been there. Every time we go visit to have breakfast lunch or dinner we always ask the manager turn off the beeping sound from the entry door which is quite annoying. Our visit today wasn't as pleasant in as much as we wanted to stay and eat the beeping sound is quite annoying that it hurts the ear And the waitress just said "oh we cannot turn it off. Nobody can turn the beeping sound off" so we decided to leave. That's not quite a good environment to be dealing with specially for people with hearing problems since I'm wearing hearing aids which that is more annoying to me than somebody who doesn't wear a hearing aid, or is already getting annoyed with it. We went to another iHop where we don't hear any beeping sound every minute l. I wonder what's wrong with the one on Laurel Canyon in North Hollywood because that restaurant is not that old. Please send me a response on this matter.

I placed an order online and paid for it. I get to the ihop to see they are closed. I will be seeking a refund and will never return to this location again.

I just came out of your ihop in Silverdale WA. I am disgusted by the level of quality that is being served there. I had cold coffee uncooked hash browns and asked for over med eggs. I got slime eggs. Nothing in the meal would make me ever what to go back there. I told the lady as I left the place that was the worst breakfast ever. All $25 of it. She told me they would try better next time. I left and called the store and spoke with the manager. He told me he would have words and didn't even say I'm sorry or anything to that effect. Just that they would do better next time. There will not be a next time.

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, around 1:30 am, I visited IHOP # 2073, located at 6171 Oxon Hill Rd, Oxon Hill, MD 20745.

I suffer from anxiety and epilepsy. I have a service animal that is trained to remind me about taking my medications, he is able to locate my medications, and also he alerts me about my seizures.

I brought my service animal and showed the documentation. The server (Male) reviewed my documentation and told me that I could not stay with my dog there. I kindly ask him to bring the manager on duty and he told me that he was not a child to receive orders from me. He started arguing and became aggressive to the point that other employees from IHOP got involved.

Another employee came over, tried to assist and asked him to leave and he refused. He continued arguing and yelling for no reason. I started recording the altercation to protect myself and have evidence about what was going on and he jumped on me to start a fight.

I tried to call 911 but I had no signal at the restaurant.

During my visit to IHOP, I lost my appetite, I felt myself in danger, and I had a panic attack. After I left IHOP, I went straight to the emergency room to be treated.

I have videos, pictures, and a medical bill that needs to be paid by IHOP.

May 24,2023 Breakfast at IHOP,4000 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Lafayette, LA 70503. My husband and I stopped by the IHOP mentioned above to have an early breakfast. He absolutely loves the IHOP crepes. We were seated and served a delicious breakfast by the most pleasant and welcoming IHOP employee we have ever met,her name is Sky. She made our morning a joy. Her sunny personality together with her stellar service made a lasting impression on us. We will be sure to ask for her on our return trip there.

On 2/14/23, my husband and I made our way to IHOP in Macon,Ga on Tom Hill Sr Blvd at around 11:30 a.m. Ramiyah, our server, and the hostess, were both fantastic.! A worker named Savannah made a very loud remark during our meal stating "I would never allow someone to take me to ihop on Valentine's Day" and laughed. There was also a couple sitting behind us who asked if we heard the rude remark . My husband and I have made it a tradition to come here for breakfast on Valentine's Day for the past few years, so Savannah's comment really upset me. Truly, after hearing that, I have no desire to ever return. Just wanted to share my experience.

I honestly loved the idea of an ihop in the community but that was quickly gone. It seems like a few black overpowered by many Hispanics. Not one manager is black and I can barely communicate with the ones there. The employees seem overworked due to lack of staff. I see one girl on weekday control and entire side and although she took a few minutes she did great. I feel like if you come to our community at least seem like you care. And for employees doing there best if they cannot appreciate you, you need to know there's always better

We've received new management.
New rules and regulations which is understandable until our lives are made more difficult and we are left with more to do. With shorter hours and more work on our hands this job is anything but worth it anymore. To be stressing about a minimum wage job because we are left to do more than what is tolerable is ridiculous. Then we have management who lack communication with their own staff and point fingers at employees without knowing what actually happened. Lack of trust in employees and no sense of respect for their staff. This company has turned greedy since we've had new ownership since our previous owner retired. I miss the old days and the management and owners that cared for their staff and said hello upon arrival. We can't even get that either. Full of power tripped ego management.

The ihop in Bowling Green, Ky. is in need of stricter supervision. I have been in three times, the first two, I had hair in my food and the explanation for it was , " oh, that's hot to be --'s hair. He's the cook." The last time I was there, the floor was so greasy and slick, I feared my friend would fall. I told my friend to be careful as the floor was slick and one of the waitresses told me it was due to the weather and there was nothing they could do about it. The restaurant was generally filthy, floor, tables , counters , all needed attention.
On my way out, I encountered the same waitress who felt no obligation to clean anything take a tip off of a table and walk over a spilled strawberry dessert on the floor. I again warned my friend to be careful and not slip on the strawberry. The waitress then looked at the mess on the floor and may no attempt to clean it up.
I don't want to lose this restaurant, but it needs some serious attention from corporate.

I have never had a problem with ihop as a matter of fact it's one of my favorite places to go for good coffee and breakfast, I always have the 2x2x2.

Ritchie Highway Pasadena iHop

This is not the first time I have experienced such bad service or been totally ignored while waiting to be seated or put my name down on the wait list.
You walk in the tables are full of dirty plates the restaurant and counter for check in is dirty (this before & during Covid). Then the staff totally ignore you while waiting because they are looking after their child and at her phone. No welcome hello, just name phone number and will let you know when your table is ready. Not even mention there will be a 30 minute wait until we ask.

If you are the manager or a front of house host, you make a effort to help the waiters by clearing tables or help with other things.
Not sit and let the place look like a dump or make the customers wait.

Really disappointed with IHOP in Maryland was so happy when we moved here from California that we had IHOP.

Please sort out your Pasadena branch they are giving IHOP a bad name.

Not only that our food was not good we told her she didn't care we did inform the manager she really apologize but that still doesn't help how rude DEBRA was

All the other waitress masks were blank and respectful of there jobs ! The Maniger should have terminated this young lady I was Very offended !

We are regular customers, several time a week. Just thought you ought to know!!! Thomasville, GA

I recently went to IHOP location Galveston Court in Manassas, VA. I understand that it is mothers day and had to wait a little while. When we were seated we placed our order and it was approximately 1130. In the booth next to us there was a child climbing and kicking the back of the chair, I asked for a manager and asked the manager could he address the family and ask if the child could sit down, he stated that this is a family restaurant and he couldn't do that and asked would we like to change seats. We obliged and was seated elsewhere. A new waitress came and stated I will be taking care of you. After that we sat and waited an additional hour waiting for our food. We had orderedober an hour ago. In the meantime those that were seated after us has received their food and left. We asked for A manager again and he stated its coming out now. Although very apologetic it still doesnotcompensate for the now almost empty restaurant and how long we had to wait to eat. I was no longer hungry at that point.

Hello,

I had the unfortunate visit to IHOP in Fayetteville, GA on Sunday 4/18/21. My experience was beyond anything I've experienced. We were advised the wait would be approximate 20 minutes. We were okay with it, but behold other customers were coming in being seated. My husband went to hostess and she states I forgot to place your name on the list, and I can't find your name. There was another hostess standing there proceeded to seat us. We receive 3 text messages after being seated for 10 minutes stating out table is ready. My husband and I place our order with the waitress, she comes back in 5 minutes with coffee. I was so appalled, my cup has lip stick on it. My concern was what if I hadn't looked at the cup and drink from it, with COVID-19 pandemic still looming no matter what I may have caught or hepatitis. My husband said, this is not going good at all. I asked the waitress to return the coffee and forget about it. The waitress comes back again after 10-15 minutes and my husband eggs were not cooked according to my order, I was taken back when the waitress decided she would argue with my husband about how he orders his eggs.
I have worked in customer service as a manager with a fortune 500 company for over 15 years, won JD Power awards. I looked at Jasmine and decided this is not what I sat down for or want to be disrespected spending my hard earn money. I allowed the dirty cup be a mistake but never will you debate what I order and will pay for. I probably shouldn't have mentioned the waitress name but she should have been a bit nicer since she was clearly in the wrong. We got up and walked out with further incident. I have copies of the texts.
Regards,
Very Very Disappointed

Good afternoon,
I frequent the ihop at lakeside circle in Sterling Heights Michigan. The staff is friendly and food is great. However, they are horrible when it comes to acknowledging the customers. Today I called to place an order. The phone rang for 15 minutes until a customer picked up the phone and said there was no one here to help. So I went to the restaurant to place my order. Staff was light, though saying "hello sorry for the wait I'll be right with you," would have gone along way. Instead, the staff avoids even looking at the front desk. This is not the first time I have had this experience here. Is it possible for them to staff a greeter to greet and start the customer interaction process. Also, maybe be a little more attentive to the phones so customers are not answering them.

Hello, I Would First Like To Say I Love Your Pancakes To The Point I Eat It Without Syrup....i Was Wonder If You Can Start Making Ihop Pancake Mix For Supermarkets Like Friday's Make Some Of Their Appetizers For The Supermarket And Red Lobster Makes Their Cheddar Buns For The Supermarket Too. Just A Thought Thank You

Wish i could attach files to this but anyways. The Ihop in Springfield Oregon allows their employees to break into the patrons vehicles & steal your personal property while you sit & eat your meal in the restaurant.
Even after the employees were arrested & later charged and found guilty of the crime, they continue to work at the restaurant. How does that work? The employee has since gotten more criminal charges yet remains unpunished. I never received anything after a judge ruled in our favor yet this criminal is allowed to walk around like it didnt happen. You want to verify these theft charges, your employees name is Lisa Wixon and was found guilty. You will see Ms. Wixon has continued to get in trouble with recent harassment charges against her from another empmoyee.

I was at one of your IHOP Restaurant yesterday in Chamblee, Ga. They wasn't taking names on the waiting list. I had waited about an hour and was told we are only taking two people at a table. Not serving 5 people today. I had spoken to two of your employees who refused to help me. People was leaving the restaurant! I had asked to speak with the manager and he was cooking. He had came out to speak with me, than he was cleaning up all the tables, wiping things down. I couldn't believe this man was trying his best to help everybody, cooking, cleaning, sitting people to a table, but the employees refused to help the customers.

IHOP has been one of the best families restaurant for children to eat breakfast. It's so sad to see employees just don't want to help the customers. This type of services will make a lost of revenue for anyone who are trying to apply for a franchise business with IHOP are already has a franchise business.
My recommendation for new employees, they will have to go back to basic training classes, like watching a video how to treat your customers with respect, manager, supervisor, etc. Give these employees hope and dreams, maybe they can become a franchise owner one day if they work hard. Reward them for the work they do!

All CEO'S that own a franchise business with IHOP really need to come together and see how they can keep the employees happy, and your customers happy to continue to be very successful.

One recommendation, resigned your sitting arrangement, make them as booth. Changes are good!

We have a ihop in Paducah KY. It just reopened and I thought they would get good people to work there but it's worst than before it burned down. I waited over a hr for my food all I herd was yelling from the back they were cussing very loud listing to music loud. When I left I see all employees out back it looked like they were drinking and was all standing around a silver mustang car. I won't be back .and the GM of the store should be fired for not handling this.if the staff can't do there job they shouldn't be there .I hope ya get it together.

I just wanted someone to know how impressed I was with the new manager and staff at your Bourbonnais location. After filing complaints 2 years ago I had quit going there. The manager last year did his best to correct all the problems so I had returned once again. The manager Jorge sent me an email asking me to return. I did and I will go back again. Thank you Jorge

I just heard on the radio that you have changed your name to IHOB. I have a better name than that.

IHOP'N B This way folks that have always loved your restaurants that are known for the greatest pancakes in the whole wide world, will see that they can still get their pancakes.

Who was thinking when they decided to change the name to IHOB??? There has to be a P still in your name.

You truly should have given this more thought. Oh well too late now right?

Posted by Former customer

They have the right to change their name as it is their company. That being said, I also have a right not to spend my money with them. I will no longer eat there if they change the name. It is stupid and I will not support a company that is run by that amount of stupidity. They have a brand that works and is internationally recognized and they want to ruin it. When their business falls off I will not feel sorry for them. There are a lot of better choices out there and I will choose them at that point. Every time I eat there my ticket is $32.00 plus tip for OK at best food. We only eat there for convenience as it is. I can go elsewhere with minimal effort. It will cost millions to change this name over that will be passed to the customers in higher prices. I will not support this stupidity. I have read thousands of comments from others that feel the same way so I know I'm not alone. Enjoy the falling sales numbers corporate idiots.

I eat at the same IHOP 4-5 times per week. Store #1756 in Spokane ,Wa. This is a franchised store & the manager is great. Most of the servers do a decent job. I have been eating at this store 20 years or so. In the past year I have seen a decline in service & quality of food preparation. Cook times are all over the board! Inconsistent cooking of the same food. I know minimum wage went up & its harder to hire but I hate to see this store going down hill. Now it appears IHOP is doing away with the survey. I have a Sharis equal distance & maybe its time to change.Alot of older regulars are gone already. Its just hard to see this happen.

Just Had Lunch At Wichita Falls Tx Ihop On Broad St, Worse Service Ever. Waitress Wanted To Argue Over Trying To Sub Hash Browns For Eggs. Granddaughter Is Allegic To Eggs. I Have Ordered It This Way Several Times And This Lady Wanted To Give Me A Fit About It. Told Her To Just Charge Me For The Hashbrowns. Then I Oredered Hash Browns Crispy And Bacon And Very Well Done Pancakes. She Comes Back With Food Except For My Pancakes And Comes Back Several Minutes Later With Them. By Then I Was Fed Up And Had Lost My Hunger For Any Of Their Food. Told Her To Take Them Back Had Changed My Mind. She Ask Was Anything Wrong With Them, I Said That Not What I Said Had Changed My Mind. She Then Sends Another Waitress Over To Serve Us. I Vist This I Hop Several Times A Week. I Normally Do Not Eat There I Take It With Me. They Are Terrible About Getting The Order Right And Food Cooked The Way You Order It. I Have Finally Had It With This Place Will Start Going To Dennys For My Food.

Ihop in general is not bad. Especially when management takes the time to properly train their employees. Case in question. Store #662. Why I do not know, our visits have not been memorable. We decided after many years to give it another try. Was okay. Came again, placed our order, asked questions, requested the senior discount was told no problem. Food was good etc. Bill came. I noticed no discount. I asked, waitress says, oh yeah can't do that tonight!!!. Really and she didn't think she should have informed us??? I asked to see the manager. Apparently he (Ralf) went home. Acting manager says oh well discount cant be given, Original waitress is brand new you are her first customer!!!. I asked about training etc. was told that was the way it was, she was new!! She did come back and said I gave you the military discount.... not the point, Poor customer service all around, and attitude. not blaming the new waitress, acting manager doing her job and properly training a new employee instead of leaving her on her own would have made the world of difference. I was given the owners name Hossam who doesn't answer his phone. I left my name and number might get a call back??? Well Mr. Hossam don't expect any referrals .

As a former ihop employee I wouldn't suggest to anyone to work there. The management skills are horrible. People get a little authority and just do what they please. They make you watch a video about relationships in the workplace but the general manager and a cook are dating. They fired me because a table walked out. The general manager saw when I put the ticket in but somehow the cooks never got it . How is that my fault? They will never succeed in the business because they fire people everyday for nothing. Worst business I've ever worked at !!

Had the worst service ever at the IHOP in New Bern NC, but don't bother to complain, IHOP corporate cares even less about the customers than the location did. Do not patronize IHOP.

My Family And I Just Left Ihop We Have Been Going To Hammond, La Ihop Since It Opened!! We Never Received Such Bad Service Ever.it Took Them Over 40mins To Seat Us With Less Than 20ppl In The Restaurant. There Were Probably 4 Waitresses 2 Cooks And A Manager. We Didnt Get Food Untill Over N Hour Later And Drinks Over An Hour Later. No One Ever Said I'm Sorry About The Wait. The Manager Wouldn't Even Come Out. Told My The Waitress She Was Busy N Wasnt Going To Re Cook Her Food After It Was Served And Was Wrong. It All Came From The Manager.... She Tried To Charge Me For Food I Didnt Receive. She Was Nasty, And Rude. She Never Came To The Table Untill We Had To Pay The Ticket And I Refuse To Pay The Extra 2dollars She Charged Me For The Bill, She Commented And I Have The Video Bc I Recorded Her. Dont Come Back And If You Do I Will Have U Escorted Out. I Never Caught An Attitude With Her Or Anything. By Far The Worst Ever. She Got The Police To Escort Me Out. I Am A Regular Ihop Attendee.... Noth Me N My Family. We Will Not Rest Untill She Is Gone!! Ihip Lady Night Manager! African American!
