I purchased a new John Deere e180 . I have been a customer for over 20 years . My family purchased the mulching system for my machine. I had a local dealer install the system . I'm sad to say that I'm very unhappy with the system . All of the grass comes up on top of the mowing deck or it leaves a line of grass in the lawn . It doesn't mulch . The dealer said other people have the same problem And there is no fix. For the first time in 20 years I'm totally unhappy with my John Deere . I know it's not a lot of money compared to the big equipment you sell but I'm into this for over 3200.00 and it make my lawn look horrible . I'm going to
Look into buying a new mower from another company . I thought you might like to know what your loosing a customer that has been with you for over 20 years

On August 7, 2017, I bought my first, and probably my last, John Deere riding mower, the D160, 25 horse. At 53 hours of use, the belt broke. The cleaning mechanism using the garden hose never worked very well. The lubrication points on the deck cannot be accessed without removing the deck. The grass/weed cuttings cling to the underside of the deck accumulating like magnets, quickly!, and I'm not mowing wet grass. Why can't they put some teflon on the underside? My International Harvester tractor worked much better and longer, along with my Cub Cadet on which I put 500 hours, belts never broke, and I maintained it myself. I am an old lady who loves to do simple maintenance, but this John Deere is NOT USER FRIENDLY. Caveat emptor. BUYER BEWARE!

I am very disapointed with my john deere snowblower. The model # is 1028E.The electric chute has frozen up since day one . The unit is 4 years old but has never worked right. Also it back fires. The unit is rusting in the chute turret area.I don't think this should be happening to a 4 year old snowblower. THe dealer wants over $500 to repair it.Also the unit has a weak drive. Please have someone REVIEW this & call me A very unhappy customer.

I recently had a problem with my 235 tractor; the mower blade was just shutting off, not running. I talked with the John Deere service people in Waynesville NC and they told me it was the clutch. I replaced the clutch, and the tractor ran fine for 2 mowings, then the same problem occurred....pulled the button out and it wouldn't run. I took it to the service place in Waynesville for repair; they kept it for 4 weeks, and said it was fixed. I brought it home, run it for less that 20 minutes....now the blade won't start back up. I've spent over 200 miles round trip and about $500 on the tractor, and it still doesn't run. I just want my tractor fixed, but feel that I was ripped off by the place in Waynesville. Can you recommend an honest place near to Asheville NC that can fix my tractor? I would appreciate your help and your response. I have been very happy with the John Deere products and would like to continue enjoying them without having to make a change.

I bought an X300 from Lindsey Equipment in New Milford, Pa. 3 years ago, and an LT150 prior to that. The seat on the X300 developed many cracks and splits last year. - TYPICAL OF JOHN DEERE SEATS - I HATE THEM!! It was replaced last year under warrantee. I have religiously maintained vinyl protector ant on it since then! The new seat has now developed similar cracks and splits. (The LT150 I bought from them also had the same problems and it is now sitting in my garage, with totally ripped up/cracked seats.)
I went into New Milford June 3rd - with the latest seat from the X300, which is now starting to split, and the kid at the counter tried to tell me the X300 only had a 2 year warrantee!! I asked him about the Kohler Engine warrantee and he said that was also 2 years! THIS KID HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT AND SHOUND NOT BE AT THE COUNTER! I told him I had sent emails to Chris with no response - and to have Chris contact me.
TWO WEEKS LATER I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY!

Anyway, I have sent emails to Chris - the salesman I bought the tractor from and he has not answered me. This kid says he would have to talk to his "supervisor?" in Apalachin - who is an idiot!, and extremely rude, ( This guy in Apalachin is on an ego trip! - Mark something) - who is why I deal with New Milford, and see if the seat is under warrantee, and get back with me. I HAVE NOT HEARD A SINGLE THING FROM NEW MILFORD NOR ANYONE ELSE! - and it is now June 20th!!- AND I DO NOT FEEL IT IS UP TO ME TO CONTACT THEM - TO HAVE TO CALL TO GET AN ANSWER. THIS IS JOHN DEERE SERVICE??

I will never buy another John Deere product. We purchased a large farm tractor and had some problems...that should have been our first clue. We had faith in the name so we purchased a zero turn mower for 6,000.00. IT WILL NOT START.....we have taken it back to the dealer twice and it still won't work. NO HELP and NO SUPPORT.
$6000.00 shot.

Back in 2009 when I purchased my JD JS35 I spent the extra money over the cost of a Toro because of the reputation of John Deere mowers for reliability. WHAT A MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! THIS MOWER HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. I respectively requested that john Deere either provide me with another mower of allow me to send the invoice for my most recent repair of $134 and reimburse me for this repair. They refuse to take responsibility for their product. My old Toro was a much better machine with better reliability.
