I Have Owned 4 New Range Rovers Since 2008 And Will Never Buy Another One Again

Their Customer Relations Group Is The Nastiest And Most Unresposive Group I Have Ever Dealt With

They Could Not Care Less About Their Loyal Customers

In the new Range Rover Sport HST v6 engine model 2016, would there be options that can be added/purchase to the HST model like: Vision and Convenience Package, Climate Comfort and Visibility Package, Surround Camera System or Bose System.

Land Rover Hunt Valley, MD. *****DO NOT GO THERE*****FRAUD DEALERSHIP*****RUN!*****

I dropped off my 2011 Range Rover Sport for them to install new tires, perform alignment, and oil change. Two days later, the service adviser left a message saying the car was finished and the technician who worked on it was test driving it. I went to pick up my car. When I started the car, it took a few seconds to fire up which was not normal. It would fire up right away before. In addition, there was a check engine light, triangle with exclamation point, and the message Restricted Performance. I immediately showed it to a car dealership personnel who said they have to look at it the next day and gave me a loaner.

The next day, I received a message from the service adviser that the dealer had check everything that it was nothing the dealership did that caused all the error messages, and they wanted me to authorize the dealer to diagnose the problem. I of course did not authorize the work and drove to the dealer. Upon arrival, I asked for the General Manager of the dealership but was told he was on vacation and was directed to Service and Parts Manager, Ron Johnston.

I explained that the second I dropped off the car up until the second I arrive and started the vehicle I did not hear anything about problems with the vehicle. You would think at some point when the dealership had my car something would have popped up, especially during the test drive by the technician. Immediately, he came off as arrogant and a jerk. The manager simply said, "Stuff happens" and asked me the question, "Have you ever gone into a room and turn on the lights but they didn't come on?". Personally no, but I guess theoretically it could happen if a bulb goes out. I told him I still believe the dealership had done something to my car. After 20 minutes, I knew the conversation wasn't going anywhere so I left and said they would be hearing from my attorney. He followed my and asked if I was going to drive the vehicle home cause I may not make it home and might need to get it towed. I simply said yes. When the technician delivered my car to drive home, again, he asked if I was going to drive home cause the car might not make it home.

When I started driving the vehicle, the car was extremely slow to accelerate and would not shift out of 3rd gear. I noticed that my digital settings were reset, my clock was now set 24 hrs instead of 12 hrs as I originally had, and my temperature setting was degrees Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. I thought that was strange, what did putting new tires, alignment, and oil change have to do with those settings being changed. I thought the only way was that the battery was disconnected and there was now power source. So I drove to an NTB and started talking to the manager. I asked him if there was anyway the digital settings could be reset and he said yes, if you disconnect the batter without backup.

It turns out that the dealership had disconnected the battery without power backup and the computer loss all the settings including the fuel injection/pump settings resulting in the car driving in limp/safe mode.

The theory is the dealership tried to get more "business" from me by disconnecting the battery so I could authorize them to diagnose the problem and fix the problem. It all came down to more $$$$$. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP, THEY ARE A FRAUD. RUN AND RUN FAST!

I have contacted Maryland's District Attorney for Consumer Complaints and they recommended that I file a complaint against the dealership. I WILL!

As a multiple Range Rover owner, I continue to be amazed at the absolute arrogance and ignorance displayed by Land Rover dealers as they rake in $10,000. profit per car. The cars are absolute junk, but since they carry a poser image that so many think is great, they will have a few more years of success before everyone gets tired of being pushed around by the dealers and manufacturer. The vehicles are substandard build quality and nearly every one has electrical or mechanical issues. What a joke of a company, as the indians at Tata and the dealers laugh at the buyers all the way to the bank. Try calling a dealer or the customer service line with any question oe problem, and you will see what i mean.

Dear Land Rover - Your recent ad of having a Land Rover driving up a stream bed is offensive and irresponsible. You are simultaneously bragging that your vehicle can handle wilderness travel while actively destroying the environment and killing any water-based wild life at the same time. I encourage you to tout an ad where you show more enlightenment towards the environment. My two friends who own Land Rovers are disgusted with your message. I hope to see a sequel where perhaps you can show environmentalists using the land rover in tough terrain to support the environment. Thank you for your consideration. I will be sending similar communication to Kim McCullough and large/small scale conservation organizations.

Your location in Hanover, MA is not only profiling (an illegal practice) but also are quite verse in lying, specifically "Mellyssa Coutinho", who not only lied and profiled me after I was in the market for a gift to my recent Fiancee', but also received my credit card number for a deposit and although I had my name on the car with her promise, she sold it to someone else and wasted a week of my time and has kept my private credit card information, all while knowing that she will not sell a $100,000 car to us.

Look into the practices of this dealership, they are providing the Land Rover name brand with a horrid reputation. Shame on you for employing someone of "Mellyssa Coutinho's" reputation and shame on Land Rover corporate for allowing their franchises to profile potential customers.

I ordered a 2014 RR HSE on 01/27/14 from San Antonio LR and was told it would arrive in 5-6 months. Now 6 months later, I was told that it will be another 6-7 month wait. The salesman said due to "back up". We'll I have never heard of such thing of having to wait so long for any vehicle. When I called him back 2 days later and unexpectedly requested a Vista form, a form that details order date, build date, ship date and my name. He pretended not to know what I was talking about. He then wanted to know how did I know about the vista form. I believe my RR came in and they sold it and ordered me another one.

The reason I had to order this one in the first place is because the first 2014 I ordered on 10/13 and received it 4 months later was what I considered a Lemon. The day it was delivered and test driven the check engine light was on and Supposedly it was fixed that day, but the next morning I was driving to work and the engine light was back on I took it back and the kept it for 5 business days. At this point I decided I did not want to pay $100,000 bucks for a brand new vehicle that is already having problems. So as I was complaining to others, I found someone that said they didn't care about the engine light being on and bought it from me, so I foolishly ordered another one. Now I'm having to wait a total of 13 months if I'm lucky to get this RR. But I doubt if I want it at this point, but i would still like to know what happened to my vehicle that I ordered on 1/27/14. I do believe they sold my vehicle to the highest bidder and put me on the back burner.

Your land rover dealership in Columbia SC lend credence to the term car dealer and definitely reinforces the negative opinion most people have. They have repeatedly submitted us for financing on a car despite the fact that we never agreed to purchase a car. I am going file complaints with the credit agencies and explore any legal remedies we may have. Definitely will not do business with your organization.

I believe I have been the victim of racial profiling by the Land Rover dealership in San Diego, CA. I think it would be prudent that someone from the Land Rover Corporate office contact me.

On March 16th my 2012 Land Rover Evoque with 6,000 miles stopped DEAD in the middle of a busy street, I had NO time to pull off the road and could not immediately get out of my vehicle due to traffic. It is now May 30th and I still do not have a car and today the dealer wants to return this defect to me. Clearly a dangerous model with no care for the customer safety. I was told the fuel line became disengaged! I have videos of this situation and will be posting them soon via all social media to warn everyone about the dangers of the 2012 Evoque.

I have a Landrover Discover. 108,000 . The frame is rusted out by the front struts making the car in operable Unless I spent $10,000 for an off the frame weld-That's Crap. Seriously.

I have tried to speak to someone in customer service at the corp level, not chance in getting through. I left my telephone number 4 times, no call back. I have bought 3 Discoveries, this is the last one. 100,000 miles and the car is inoperable, seriously. Im in Philadelphia, not Alaska. Im very very disappointed.

I have experienced a total crash of my system and a body control failure. I have 36k miles original miles on this vehicle. Luckily this happened before I went Into an 11 hour trip thru the mountains.
I experienced a total lock up of my vehicle's electrical system, wouldn't start, flasher kept coming on, steering wheel locked up,could not put into neutral, key would not come out of ignition, lights would not turn off, could not brake and could not lock or unlock doors. I was stranded 700 miles from home. I had to pay for a flight back home to DC. I did report to NTSB. after lots of research these vehicles are being produced stateside by GM. Yes the people being grilled about lack of transparency on Capitol Hill.

My car was towed to land rover in fort worth because it will not start. The tow guy said it sounded as if it was out of gas. The land rover in fort worth told me I needed a new fuse engine box, but land rover stopped making the parts. He told me that they don't have the parts anywhere in the world. I located the parts on line, but land rover states they will not put it in. They said they can built/ make the part but it will take 2-6 weeks and it will cost 1,988 plus 1500 labor. I called the corporate office to research the matter. They only spoke with me one time. I left several messages, and they have yet to call me back. Meanwhile, the land rover in fort worth wanted to know if I wanted them to order the parts or not. I told them that I will come and have my car towed not to order the parts. When I got to the service center to tow my car, they had taken it apart. The tow truck left because it took land rover over 30min. To put my car together. I never gave authorizations to work on my car. When they finally finished putting it together, they put gas in my car and it stated running. Since I wasn't sure what was wrong, I called the tow company back and they came and tow my car to another shop. The other shop diagnosed my car and the only thing that showed was that my gas sensor was broken. The put gas in my car and it has been running fine. I called back land rover corporation and left a message, no one returned my call. I had to pay 130.00 to and rover to look at my car and they gave the wrong diagnosis. I missed work because they had my car for over a week and I had to practically begged to get a loner car to go to work. I want my $130.00 dollars refunded and an apology. They treated me like a scum....

Recently (Oct 2013), purchased a 2008 LR3 with 27,900 miles from Ray Catena in Edison, NJ. Made my decision to purchase this vehicle based on the web site advertising as a LR certified pre-owned vehicle, therefore qualifying it for a factory warranty of 100,000 miles or 6 years. Declined to purchase the extended warranty the dealership offered because it was, presumably covered under the factory, wrong. Found out this week after the vehicle suspension system failed and dropped to the bump stops at only 34500 miles that this vehicle really wasn't under the extended factory warranty. So now owning this vehicle less than 5 full months it is going to cost me a rediculous amount to have it repaired, which the service department at Checkered Flag Land Rover in Virginia Beach can't even figure out as they have had the vehicle for a week now. The best response I can get from the service department is, "we will see whart we can do." Have never dealt with a company, Land Rover, or any dealerships, Land Rover dealers, that approached anything with such a lack of urgency! In my 47 years I've owned many vehicles but have never had a vehicle embarrass me because of mechanical issues, until now. If I can just get the vehicle fixed long enough to sell it or get it traded in for good reliable brand of vehicle I would more than happy.

Dear LandRover, my wife took our 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE with 142,500 miles to the Parsippany LandRover dealership today for an oil change. She was told that the oil pan threads are wearing and will need a new oil pan in the future. I have a Subaru that this happened to and the dealership replaced the pan free of charge. The only reason the threads would wear is if the drain plug is overtightened. This dealership has always serviced my vehicle and I would hope they would stand behind their work. They told my wife this is considered normal wear and tear on LandRovers. Is this true?

I sent email complaint about my vehicle (2005 Range Rover HSE) before to TATA Motors, India. Things never been fixed and still dealing with many problems
in the car.

I have no idea how this dealer things work, its like ANDHER NAGARI CHAUPAT RAJA. I am very sorry to say this but there is no fairness left anywhere in the world,
and it doesn't mean, that I have to do the same with others, what your company does.

Here it was started, the company I works with they always buy Range Rovers, HSE or Supercharged, of course because of its big name and a wonderful car,
whenever new model come in the market, my company return the old cars and buy the new one. Unfortunately, I bought one of the car (2005 Range Rover HSE) from my company, instead of selling back to dealer. I took this car before changing into my name for service to make sure everything is ok with the vehicle. I realize that people working at this place (Hornburg Jaguar, 3300 Olympic Boulevard, Santa Monica, California-90404), find out that I am buying this vehicle. This issue was closed,

I took same car back to dealer, because it had some problem in the car. They asked me to leave car for three days, and I did left the car for three days with them.
After that day, when I came back to pickup the car, I felt something is not right and felt immediately, that its tires were worn out and those tires were not mine.
So I called the Manager of that place and asked him the question, and he got angry and told me go make complaint anywhere I want to.
I believe he probably changed many thing from my car and put faulty parts in it.

I left that place and didn't want argue with him, but I did complaint, TATA's Headquarter by sending email, I don't think that I got any respond from them, but I did
get respond from Land Rover Corporate Office, New Jersey, USA. I spoke to Head of the Department there over the phone, I think everyone from that office
was super nice, its make me feel lot better by just having conversation with corporate office. There were some issues were done, but problem in
my car never went away.

I believe in GOD and have blind faith, I don't understand this concept who do I believe in this world or who do I trust, even we are paying price what others
asking from us, we are doing our part as per their demand and after that all of these, this enchilada we get? Amen to that God bless all and I really wish them
hopefully they start doing the right things for others too.

I am very very sorry to bother all of you guys, but what else I could do. This car (2005 Range Rover HSE model) only has 58,000 miles and
its Transmission is gone. Its too good to be truth. Even worst car company make better engine and transmission compare this Range Rover by price wise.
I am so surprise to see this and shocked.

What do I do where else I can go from here, is there anyone who can provide better results.
THIS IS KIND OF MONKEY BUISNESS

A Land Rover has always been my choice of vehicle. I own a 2004 Discovery II and I love it, but I always wanted a Defender 90 or 110. I like the old retro boxy look and manual transmissions, just the basics please. I was wondering if you are working on the safety concerns about these vehicles for the U.S. to bring back. My Series II I'm sure still has a lot more miles to go on it, but I would like to trade it in on a Defender some time. I saw the concept Defender on the internet and I am sorry, but this one does not strike me as something that I would like to take fishing, hunting and camping. I guess I'm old fashioned, but seeing the price people are getting for the 1993-1997 Defenders (15-20 year old vehicles), I don't think I'm alone. Thank you..

I purchased a 2008 Range Rover Sport from Parsippany NJ in October 2011. I was given an option of warranties with the company Continential. I assume based on the conversation with the individual at Land Rover that I was being given the best option. Today I took my car to the Land Rover Dealer in Glen Cove NY and found that the repairs I need on my truck is not covered by the warranty company given to me by the Parsippany Dealship and if I had a Land Rover warranty it would have been covered. The repairs are costing me $1,480 out of pocket and I need to know why was a given the Continential warranty and not Land Rover? I plan to take this issue to the NJ Better Business Bureau as well as a number of other avenue. Your company only cared about taking my money and not the holistic benefit to me caring for my vehicle. They took my $40,000 cash payment and could care less about me as a consumer.

Land rovers are becoming things of the past with great help of their own dealerships. There is no other vehicle that handles bad weather and terrain as good as a land rover. But... dealerships are busy providing unacceptable "service". I have a '99 disco II. I had this car for 13 yrs! and now, after 155k miles it is starting to show some wear. about 10 days ago, I had a big antifreeze leak at the heating manifold. it was repaired. However, it has a engine light now, it needs O2 sensor replacement, it idles poorly and my mileage dropped from 17 mpg to 12 mpg! I took it today again and the tech service can't do anything. The sad part is that they are the only game in the Salt lake city valley! land rovers now are a dime a dozen! nobody will service them. Land Rover has to terminate their franchise and breed new life to the great land rover green oval brand. you get more for the price of the LR4 than any other competitor brands... but you shoot yourselves on your feet with poor dealerships. C'mon Tata industries! don't turn land rovers into YUGOS!

We sold my L-R 2 with less than 30,000 miles/5.5 years old. I kept in perfect shape and with an extended warranty. WHY? The dealership did not hold up to the promises at purchase (oil changes, transportation when car was to be service, wouldn't guarantee and timely completion of an oil change even when an appointment was made).

We had over a year left on our warranty. Upon purchase of our new vehicle we contacted the Land Rover Dealership to see about a refund. Apparently it is a common practice for other dealerships to refund and prorate the remainder of the coverage, but not Land Rover. It has been 3 weeks and we are told they are too busy to research. I think they are waiting for the year and half to pass.

When I purchase my Land Rover I bought it travel too and from my cabin in the mountains. Well, it didn't like the cold or the heat. The sensors just stopped working and the car would just stop.

May be you can help me at least get some information from Land Rover of San Diego. My next step is to report to the better business bureau. I guess they just don't care!!!!!!
