It took 5+ separate phone calls with different people each time until I finally connected to an individual in the "Commercial" category with a different phone number to get someone who really cared about my difficulty for which I was grateful. I have used Linksys Routers for over 20 years and have installed them for friends and neighbors. I own 6 E 8450's having returned 6 Velops that could not hold a signal as a mesh system and got stuck with 5 RE 6500 range extenders that again couldn't maintain a constant system connection used in a 2100 sq' residence to maintain connections with our security system and an emergency generator. Linksys has in my view deteriorated and I intend to discuss my experience within the technical community on social media. Suggestion: Either make more reliable products and have technical service that is just that. This probably will never be read or responded to by Linksys, or who ever owns them. If not responded to within a reasonable period of time, I WILL POST THIS AS MANT PLACES AS POSSIBLE AND JUST MAYBE, WHOEVER NOW OWNS THE LINKSYS COMPANY WILL GET THE MESSAGE. SteveZ

Linksys support site is a rip off. I contacted site for help with my Linksys router and paid $29.99 for service that was demanded before technician would try to repair. Technician stated that money would be refunded immediately if he could not make repairs. Technician was unable to make repairs and recommended purchasing a new router from him with discounts. He also said he had made refund to my credit card. Now it has been almost 2 weeks and no credit has been issued to my credit card. I have a case number and have had conversations with Linksys customer service and still no refund. Linksys is a bunch of liars. I purchase another Linksys router but this will be my last one. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bough it in 9/11/2015 quit working so went out and got another. need this one fix and send back to me.

Purchased a few months ago an extender RE 6500. This is an absolute piece of crap. How they sell this garbage is beyond me. Was on the phone for over an hour with a tech on the chat service they provide. Total waste of time. Management better get a grip on the merchandise they are selling and the total lack of customer service. This company isn't worth a dam.

I have a defective product and was given an RMA# to return. However, the form on the website to initiate the return doesn't work and nobody picks up in customer service. I was on hold yesterday for over 3 hours and was never connected to anyone. I have had nothing but problems with Linksys and there's no way I could ever recommned them to my fellow IT friends. Please make this right.

covers the additional USB port on my laptop computer because of its large size.

This is to inform you that I am VERY disappointed in your technical support for a Linksys product I purchased. It seems that Linksys is unwilling to support products that it sells, Linksys products that are currently listed on its website

and Linksys products that are currently for sale in its distribution network. Indeed, I was blown off in a callback where Linksys had promised to call me back when support would be available. At that time I was not informed about a fee being charged. Then When I had to call back Linksys again, I was confronted with the request for additional payment for a product that is currently for sale and in the stores. I even asked for a single complimentary support session as I had just recently gotten this product. I was denied. This is a bait and switch and as such is quite illegal.

I have no idea of how Linksys stays in business with its customer and technical service model. It seems that once a product is purchased from Linksys that the first order of business is to deny responsibility for its product line saying that it is no longer produced and to try to blackmail people into paying for service of newly purchased Linksys products. I will be sure to pass the word along about the lousy customer support and the bait and switch tactics that Linksys employs in its attempt to extort money out of its customers.

I have a recently purchased Network Storage Link NSLU2 that I can not get to configure on my network. I followed all the directions to the best of my ability and called for customer support as a last resort as I know how busy tech support can be. I try to run the software but it does not install.

I happen to work in technology and am quite versed in such issues and in communication with others in this vast field. Rest assured that I will be communicating the facts of this incident with them and with appropriate governmental consumer legislative organizations.

I was using the router WRT154G when all of a sudden it started giving me problems staying connected with too many devices, so Linksys suggested that it doesn't support apple products but the EA 2700 does. However, it doesn't support laptops, so do I have 2 f'n routers to cover both ends. Don't try any phone numbers unless you want to speak to the Phillipines. Even on the USA number it states, for Spanish press 1, portguese press 2, English press 3. Linksys is an American based product from California, you'd think English would be the first choice, but hell no. Then try to get a supervisor. Impossible. The Phillipinos say I have to wait a half hour and call back wtf? I am looking into purchasing anything but Linksys, any suggestions (and Belkin and Cisco are all the same company)

3-19-14 My old router started to crap out and the tech suggested I buy a new one. He made me a good deal that turned out to be too good because it wouldn't go through and I was later told so. Asked to speak with a manager, but told the manager was too busy to talk to me. I was told someone would contact me promptly at 8:00 the next morning. Nobody called and I couldn't get through all day. Kept getting a message to try later. After about 20 of my wasted hours trying to get this issue resolved, another supervisor got me part of the deal. Finally got the new router and had immediate troubles. After a technician determined that the new router was seriously behind in router updates, and updated it for me (new router???), he tried to get me to spend $40 dollars at another website to optimize my computer because he saw a duplicate file. I had a better idea, disconnect the router and there was no trouble. The firmware update did not resolve the intermittent problem. Had to call in again. It was determined to be a hardware issue. Got a replacement approved and told I would have it in about 5 business days. After a week and a half, I called to see where it was. I was given a tracking number that turned out to be for the defective unit I was to return. Then told they are out of stock for now (but nobody let me know). I told the rep that my wife needs it for work and they are screwing us. Then he told me he found one at some other location and it'll take a couple of days to process us getting that one. And then another 5-7 business days to get it. What total crap. And after all this crap, no upgrade offer, no expedited shipping offer. I should call them back and tell them to shove it and I'll just take my money back and go to a reputable company. In hindsight, that's what I should have done in the first place. After just reading some reviews of other people's horrible experiences, I'm seriously wondering if the new one will even work. What happened to this company? Wonder if they even care???

Linksys customer support stinks. They were very helpful when selling me their product, but now that I want to return a product I was told I could if I didn't need, no one answers the phone. Even at the corporate office, you get a message telling you to leave a message. I guess no one works at the corporate offices (US) either. I have no idea how they can say they have great customer service. It STINKS.

My name is Lindsay .I spoke to a rep named Cathy she was so very nice to me.I told her I was disabled I wanted a replacement for an AE2500#1121060C206443.She asked me to go thru the step set up by cisco. I did all she asked that I could do her supv/mgr was standing over her hearing the conversation. I am a disabled American,who served this country,her boss was standing over her telling her to have me take my desktop computer to my B/R where the at&t router was,I told Cathy I cannot do this. Its in a builtin desk. Her boss didn't seem to care. he/she kept on asking for me to carry desktop computer from kitchen to M/B. I told Cathy who was so very nice to me that for 40 dollars I will buy a new one.its 2:30 est on 11 of Feb. I want one of you AMERICAN'S Right now I don't want anything to do with CISCO.Iborrowed a laptop to dowhat I am doing as a senior citizen disabled x-service member I am So MAD I Coudnt sleep. SOB's this is BS.fire that supv/mgr make Cathy the boss oh that's right you people don't promote women in phillipins.Cathy is the very best that you people have. I want a phone call from an AMERICAN.
