I live just south of Atlanta Ga. and have visited your store in Scottsbluff Nebraska. I'm thoroughly impressed and would very much like to see your store in Atlanta. Is that a possibility?
I have emailed a year ago no response. I'm emailing again. However, I fought I'll get a response and to contact head quarters office is ridiculously difficult sent an email and it cam back as spam.
It's been a year. When are you going to stop your ridiculous mask mandate to shop in your store? I'll be happy to give my money to Home Depot and Lowe's. Your violating people rights and freedom. It should be a choice not forced.
I was about to buy an appliance yesterday at Menards,, however bc my husband and I didn't wear our masks, we were yelled at loudly from the second we walked in the door. The rude behavior continued throughout the store even though we were keeping our distance from everyone. We were told we wouldn't be checked out without a mask and we told them that we would put it in at checkout since we wouldn't be able to distance ourselves from the checkout person. As we were getting a helper to get our refrigerator, another man in a forklift asks us to put on our mask. We told him we're keeping our distance and would put them on at the checkout. He began to speak sharply to us to "put them on now or get out!" . We reiterated that we would put them on at the checkout and he told us he was the general manager (Craig), he wouldn't give us his last name, and that this was HIS store and we to were to put our mask on NOW or get out! I told him WE are where HIS paychecks come from. He stated very rudely, " NO THEY DONT, my checks come from Jim Menards!" ? He then got off his forklift and came towards us telling us to get out. I am absolutely done with the store! We were going to spend lots of money yesterday and we have a bout a $50,000 project for this upcoming summer! Let alone future siding and deck and roof projects for our home! So we will take our money and go to Lowe's or Home Depot or a local hardware shop and spend our THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dollars there, where we are not forced to wear a mask!
I'm sure that anyone who challenges yourpolicy about masks is being monitored with cameras as someone to be "on guard"
so to speak.
Just like when flying I suspect their are Plain clothed security guards or
Marshals that are instructed to verbally intimidate and bully customers into more compliance at their stores.
I, personally, was hassled verbally, complete with an accusing tone and a threatening kind of demeanour
berating me from his truck.
This person deliberately blocked my way in the parking lot to make his point.
As I was leaving the entrance to the store he hurled accusations at me like a verbal assault rifle.
"Don't you ever question a particular clerk...etc. etc..
or else.
This was the store in Marinette, Wi. 2 days ago.
I went to your business to get a bag of come and get it dog food. I asked the employee who was putting up dog food if he had the dog food I was asking for and he told me you all didn't carry that kind . I told him yes you did because I buy it there all the time. He said no I didn't . We'll I live about 7 or 8 blocks from there and I know I have bought it there before. He was rude and more less called me a liar and said you had to buy it somewhere else. And I told him I guess I'll start going to rural king to get my stuff from now on. I buy a lot from menards but not no more. I'd rather go 5 miles out of my way than to put up with a person like him. I've talked to a lot of people and they said that's one reason they don't go there. Sorry to bother you with this but I don't appreciate someone calling me a liar.
Menards,
Mid July, I was on your website taking screenshots of building materials for a custom shed. I noticed you doubled the price of 1/2" OSB from $10.90 a sheet to $22.25. That's totally outrageous! Menards should be ashamed of jacking up prices to that extreme in times like this. I really hope the American people stick together to teach businesses like you to stop taking advantage of us in times like this.
Unbelievable how your company has handled this COVID.
You started out having No One wear mask . Then later on Selling
Mask to enter your store!!
What a Terrible Business Decision
Lowe's Gillmans Home Depot Ace Hardwares etc .
have ZERO requirements. You need to Ban this right away
John!!!!
I tried to go into Menards today in Morris Illinois with my two children, and as a single father, I have no other choice. Nobody was allowed into the store unless you had a face burns and I was turned around and told to leave because I have two children with me. I find this highly unconstitutional and highly ridiculous. I'm sure there's other sheep out there That will continue to shop at the store, but you can forget about this guy I refuse to ever shop at Menards again..The media has gotten everybody so scared and created this herd of sheep they love to look at
I am a first responder and have sat through many hours of training for covid safety. Your requiring guests and employees to wear a mask is worse for the genaral public and healthy people. The CDC ,surgeon general. And WHO. Have all again made statements this week that the general public should not be wearing masks. It actually causes more danger to the healthy. As well as the other health issues caused by inhailing your own carbon monoxide for periods of time. I am also a small businesses owner who has spent a couple thousand dollars a month at your stores and am now spending that money at Lowe's because of your nonsense mask rule and your not following cdc protocols. For your stores to refuse service to customers who Cannot wear a mask for health reasons is just wrong. You should heavily rethink your decisions.
No more shopping at your store since your mask mandate. We are in the early stages of building our new home and have made one purchase there and were there last weekend checking out appliances, materials and lights to see what's available. We were happy with the variety, but won't be returning. There are many reasons why people can't and should not wear a mask, not to mention they don't work. You are wasting time for police officers to come do your dirty work. Also, there are countless videos all over the internet of people being harassed at your stores. You aren't treating people like free Americans. I was happy to shop at Lowe's yesterday where I was treated respectfully.
I don't have a complaint. I have an unusual question but can't find the appropriate place to ask it so here goes. I have a desire to own a small home built with nothing but Menards materials (interior & exterior).I would be honored to reside in this home with any stipulations set forth by Menards for advertising or promotional services. Think it would be awesome. Obviously would be willing to finance within my budget.
Yesterday (around 2:30p CDT) I visited Menards on 5260 S FRANKLIN ST in MICHIGAN CITY IN 46360. I saw online that the store had (46) 19oz Lysol spray cans (I also have a screenshot picture to verify). When I came into the store I begin looking for the Lysol but could not find it. I asked a close by sale associate if/where they had the Lysol. He told me that "if it was not on the shelf then they probably ran out". I told him that I drove a far distance because the website online said they had (46) 19 oz Lysol spray cans. He walked me over to the department head of plumbing and household items. I then asked her the same question about the (46) 19oz Lysol spray cans if/where they had the Lysol. Her response to me was " it's probably in the back and just got off a truck". She did not seem interested in helping me further. I asked her if I could speak to her store manager. The store manager finally arrives. The first thing he did as I approached him, was step back as if I was a diseased person (now giving the current situation with coronavirus I mildly understood why he did that but to see him after make close contact with the department head of plumbing and household items I can't lie it made me uncomfortable) I begin to tell him about the situation I was having and was hoping to be able to get what I came a long way for. He tells me " that stuff is in the back and we will probably put it out in the morning as first come first serve". After this final attempt I gave up! Before I left the building, I asked a sale associate about the "procedure when the store shelf is physically empty but the website shows that it is available". She told me "usually they have a sales associate check to see if they have it available". She also told me to "see if I could purchase online". I said "ok have a nice day" and was on my way out the door. Thirty minutes after I left the store the number of (46) 19oz Lysol spray cans the website said the store originally had DECREASED (I have the screenshot as well). The store had put the 19oz Lysol spray cans out for purchase. I had almost made it home at this point. I was furious! I called to speak with the store manager and I told him "that I believe you purposely put those 19 oz Lysol spray cans out on the shelves after I left". I was in a prime position to purchase some product that I really need during this time. I believe this store "robbed" me of this opportunity to get some much needed essentials for my family. I demand some form of justice! All of this is on video as well!
On Saturday April 4th I went to your Brooklyn Park store to rent an Insulation blower. Upon returning home I tried several times and many different things to get it to work to no avail. After 2 hours of my time trying to get it to work I was unable to do so and loaded it back up to return to the store. Upon returning to the store I talked to the store Manage and explained to him what had happened I asked him if there was anything he could do to compensate me for my time lost due to the faulty equipment. He did offer to refund my money but in a very condescending rude way. I have been going to this store for 25 years and this is not the first time I have been treated like this. Due to this latest incident I will no longer be a customer at this store. I am extremely disappointed in your customer service!!
