I just recently learned that Pepsi is a corporate sponsor to the Laos elephant festival. I did some research on this festival and quickly realized elephants are ridden, preform circus acts , preform other acts like playing basketball with their trainer -handler nearby called mahouts . These mahouts are carrying poles with hooks that are used to hurt the elephant if he or she misbehaves. If Pepsi would have done any research to learn how these elephants are trained . They are taken as babies very young of age from their moms and beaten and starved into submission. Research the process yourself. I saw it myself with my own eyes in Nepal and Thailand. Come on Pepsi do better!!
