Ralphs Downtown Santa Barbara is a WRECK.
No warnings.
No posted signs ANYWHERE indicating the absolute chaos that awaits inside the store.

The staff shared with me that they know only as much as I do about the chaos - apparently to paint the entire store with ZERO regard for shoppers who (on top of everything else - including FUMES from paint and other materials) have to endure the possibility of the effect on food amongst the perishable items.

The Deoartment of Health needs to be alerted of these INHUMANE conditions (for the workers, the stockers, the painters, let alone any shopper FOOLISH enough to put up with the madness).

While shopping I also noticed ZERO evidence of any manager being present to help with the situation or any questions anyone might have.

Whoever is organizing this SNAFU needs to be made aware of the strong possibility a concerned citizen/shopper (not necessarily myself) WILL be in touch with the proper authorities from
Our local Board of Health.

I won't be shopping here again any time soon, and will be recommending others to avoid the Downtown Carrillo Street address,
(not just now but in the distant future)
which according to on site sources will not return to "normal" for a good 6-weeks or more!

FYI Your temporary workers on this
poorly-thought-out project continue to cluster,
3 and more st a time smoking their heads off in a zone right near the entrance which is
CLEARLY MARKED "No Smoking".

Shame on you directly responsible for this slipshod stunt (which this amounts to)
that you are pulling.

I am taking my business ELSEWHERE.
No amount of paint can clean up this ongoing
sad state of affairs.

Your cashiers are ALL very sound and helpful people and ALSO deserve much much better than this.

Today is 02/22/2024 @ 9:57pm I visited a Ralph's located on G street in San Diego california 92101 upon entering the Grocery store a security guard of whom I have never paid attention too as i turned from the shopping cart rack, there he was standing in front of the shopping cart I was going to use to shop with and I thought I was imagining his omissions then he said you know you are not supposed to come in here I looked at him and I what are you talking about I don't know you then he exclaimed oh I thought you were someone else your not him I wasn't mad per se I was surprised by the lack of training this security had so after I completed my shopping and was exiting the store he again confirmed how sorry he was and he explained that some guy had come in the store while he was not there and walked out the store with a shopping cart full of groceries I asked what did he have on said white shoes I wore Black, he said guy wore a Black hat my hat was Gray, so the only conclusion a jury would come to is one of stereotyping and the only Dinominator would be the color of my skin I would hope that this comment reaches the right authorities I will be checking back

I ordered groceries from Ralph's in the low desert of the Coachella Valley. I received notice that the shopper had begun shopping, but needed my approval for a couple of items and I responded appropriately. When my groceries didn't arrive I called the Ralph's on Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes. This was Tuesday morning, January 2nd. at approximately 9:30 a.m. I spoke with a female manager and explained I never received my groceries. She handled the call horribly and just kept telling me it was Instagram's fault and that she had no idea how to get ahold of them. I told her I ordered through Ralphs.com and therefore felt she should help me figure out where my groceries were... She said, and I quote, "You can always shop somewhere else." Wow! I replied..."You are so right...I can always shop somewhere else...Particularly with a store manager's attitude like that!"

I had the worst shopping experience and customer service encounter at the Ralphs Market located at 305 W. Imperial Hwy. Brea, CA 92821. I was there today August 9, 2023 between the 3:00p.m. and 4:00p.m. I went there to cash a winning lottery ticket and spend the winning money on food for my family at that same store. The winning amount was $356.00 winner of a Fantasy Five Game. I wanted to cash the ticket and spend at least $300 on grocery items. I went to the customer service counter and the person that was there by the name of Dennis treated me very bad. She claimed to be the Manager which I doubt because no manager can be that rude and unprofessional in dealing with customers. She claimed she didn't have enough money to cash it and kept sending me from one register to the other and no cashier seemed to have any money to cash my ticket. Then she went to the back office somewhere hiding I guess. The three cashiers that didn't have the money kept paging and texting here but she still wouldn't respond or come out! Another person came in and said that she didn't have a code for the safe. Finally Dennis showed up with a road rage and bad temper. I would have left and gone elsewhere but because she had already ran that ticket through their lottery machine, so I was pretty much stock with them. She was even screaming at me and telling me her name out loud like she didn't care about anything. I live right across the street from that market and my family and I been shopping there for over 25 years. This has never happened to me before. I didn't buy anything due to the awful treatment that I received today, and I will never ever step a foot in that store again. Dennis, if you hate your job or you dislike people, then you better find a different career. I will spread the word out to all my neighbors, family and friends about the horrible experience I had today. It made me very uncomfortable and upset.

I waited in line for over an hour, at the Ralphs in Westlake Village, CA. They only had 2 (two) checkers and one (the line I was in) did not know what she was doing.
I asked to talk to manager but guess she was too busy because I waited another 10 min and left. She was in back if she was out front she would have seen the problem

Ralph's # 95 Sandra really bad customer services and she is the floor Manager there. She can't solved the problem and make me embarrassed in front of a lot of people. The system went down and wasn't my problem at all.

I went to Ralph's in Monterey Park Square around 12.00 pm .The system was down and the cashier was Sandra, she claim as Floor Manager at Ralph's # 95 , she announced with microphone that the system was down and they couldn't process my card. I didn't get anything and left. When I was inside the car Ian's checking my bank statement it's was showing the card been charged and processing amount of $37.22 so I went back and trying to explained it to her., she couldn't solve my problem and the others customer yelling of me and telling me to leave like I am the problem. I told her please let me talk to Manager and she said she is the Floor Manager there. It's so embarrassing for Ralph's that doesn't know how to choose good Manager that can solve the problem, she is not customers oriented., and she is rude! If she has problem solving skill she supposed to close the line and solves my problem first. I fel so embarrassed and wasting my time meanwhile I have toddler it's seem she wasn't appreciated my time. and business going to spend my in Ralph's.She supposed to get fire and choose better quality Manager with customer oriented and problem solving.

Why don't Ralphs supermarkets accept EBT in payment for orders placed online? Albertsons and Vons do, and they are both owned by the same company: Kroger.

Apparently there's a new policy at the La Tiera store that encourages patrons to bring their dogs into the store while they shop. The situation has gotten out of hand with no regards to sanitation or customers with allergies or fear. And now, this Thursday 6/9/22, right in front of the meat counter, a dog and its owner left behind a pile of feces and urine without cleaning it up or notifying store personnel. Consequently the matter was left there without a barrier where several people, including myself, nearly stepped in it. I notified the manager and he deduced that, "it must've been the lady with the two dog" Dogs in this store is a recent evolution. We didn't have this problem in the past The grocery store is no place for dogs, unless they're surrounded by relish and a bun.

I'm a home health nurse and I work in downtown LA I tend to need to find a restroom when I'm working and I have gone to the Ralph's on ninth Street in downtown LA when I do use the restroom I always make a purchase I am a regular Ralphs customer but every time I've had tried to use the restroom there I'm always told that the restrooms are closed I will not be shopping at that particular Ralph's any longer the restrooms remain constantly locked

Because Kroger is discriminating against unvaccinated workers, we will no longer shop at your store. Maybe someone needs to remind Kroger CEO that freedom of choice is what they should be promoting, not treating workers who have a right to their own medical decisions like they are THE problem regarding Covid. FACT is Covid is still transmitted and contracted between the Vaccinated! This post is being shared in social media and I hope your company loses so much money you go bankrupt!

Shopped at Antelope Rd. Ralph's Nov 7, 2021. Frustrated as usual. According to the computer ad, FOR THIS LOCATION,La Banderita Tortillas (PART OF THE BUY 10 FOR $10) were supposed to be marked down from $1.79 to $1.29. They were not yet the Mission brand was marked down TO $1.79. Upset my 10 for 10 plan. The Betty Crocker cake mixes that were supposed to be $.75 each rang up at $2.19 minus .94 which left them at $1.25 each. I was overcharged, as usual. They also advertised Red Gold tomatoes and green chilis reduced from $.99 to .45 per can. There were none to be bought.Had to buy Rotel instead at $1.00 a can. Messed up my 10 for 10 again. Also, the Ore-Ida tater tots were on sale at $1.99 so I got two bags. They rang up at $2.99 each. Overcharged AGAIN. I made the necessary changes to comply with the 10 for $10 and we were checking out when she called the total $10 more than it should have been.Gee, I wonder why. Marcie the cashier said I didn't have the 10 so I showed her I did and then she said I may have seen an ad out of this area. I corrected her and said it was the Menifee store on Antelope. People were piling up behind us. Karen came over from self check and got a real attitude with me when I told her she was not letting me talk. They were so wrong and over charged me as usual. I had everything perfect and figured, triple checked by hubby and I. Karen threw my list and receipt into my basket and walked off. I called corporate and explained everything. She said she was taking notes of our talk. She said she tried to contact that store manager, 3 times, while I was on the phone and no one picked up. The next day I called again because the store manager never contacted me. After 10 minutes into the conversation, out of the blue, they hung up the phone. I called back and got a different person and told her the customer service person's name and she said no one in customer service has that name. She said they should have given me a code number to reference the conversation. They did not.To my surprise they hung up again!I called back later and got a man this time.I repeated the past two conversations and my problems when, wait for it, yes they hang up on me a third time. WHAT A JOKE. Perhaps there really isn't a customer service setup for our complaints. Perhaps they are paid to just listen and then hang up in hopes we will just give up?. WOW !

I was just shopping at Ralph's on 30125 antelope rd .. Terry is the manager on duty ... she called a huddle on isle 19 ... I was in the meat department.. waiting for the meat to be priced and she took him away from what he was doing for huddle ... forget the customer... I left and went to Albertsons to buy my food .. clearly this person doesn't care about the customers... she cares more about her huddle ? ♀️

Shopping in the Ventura, California store. Why won't Mgt enforce the mask mandate. Nobody likes wearing them but my blood boils when stupid people think they are above the law, wandering through the store exposing law abiding customers to possible infections.

I was at your Ralphs store today located at 27760 McBean Parkway, Valencia, California. I was at self-check and saw there were two ladies checking out without masks on. I said to the cashier monitoring the self-check, "Don't you require masks in here?" She replied, "No.". Since when does Ralphs not follow the mandates by the state? I did not make an issue out of it, but if it happens again, I will, and I will post this on my neighborhood digest so that my neighbors know what is going on at your store.

I live near and usually shop at Ralph's on Manchester and Western. At this store there are very few baskets. Twice this week i shopped here and had to carry my groceries in my hands.
I called the store and spoke with Rick (Front Manager) he says that the store does not have baskets and that they don't know when they will get more. I explained to him that I will not be able to shop at his store unless I have a basket/container for shopping.
It appears because this store is in a deprived community the management is not concerned with the welfare of the shopper.
I will not shop at this location until changes are made, and I will spread this message to my family and friends.
I hope that something will be done to improve management at the Ralph's on Manchester and Western in South Los Angeles.
Thank you.

Torrance RALPHS on Carson near Western are really rude.
They forget who they work for.
Nabilla is very rude.
Does she even understand English.
She got all mad at me because I was trying to buy some beer and they had a digital coupon which made the beer almost half off.
I told her if she can't make the discount happen I don't want it.
I didn't see the discount off of my receipt so I told her that I didn't see the discount. She snagged the receipt out of my hand with an attitude look. I called her out on it told her I shop here everyday, if you don't want me to shop here then let me know.
She got so mad she couldn't even use the register so flustered.
The line was getting longer. I never used profanity but she told me don't talk to me this way and was really upset.
I didn't hear any IM SORRY ABOUT THAT.
Toni, you need to cut your pinkie nail, it's disgusting. People that does drugs usually keeps it long.
The other night the cashier looked at me expecting to bag my own groceries. U guys hire bunch of lazy people.
What about the security guard always on their cell phone.
Every time I see the security his head is down on to his cell phone.

Ralphs on Kanan Rd, Agoura Hills. Always only two registers open and very long lines. Produce is always moldy and brings fruit flies home. This is not one or two times. This is every time I shop at this store. Will never shop at Ralphs again.

Disgusting!! Customer service rep is in Philippines and is impossible to understand. How about using someone who speaks English!?

As a regular WLV, Ca. customer, you need to have management look and gut your women's bathroom-tile falling off wall, tp exposed-very unsanitary, rusted sink! No tissues or paper towels near door. Looks like ghetto!!

Also very dangerous outside with no lighting under one section and poor lighting under the other. Gelson's knows how to manage a store. Take a look. Can't shop at yours in the evening when I need to go marketing. You can do better and should.

I would appreciate someone looking into Ralph's on Kanan Road in Agoura Hiils. The people that work there are rude not helpful and could care less that you're a 20 year customer. They used to order something if you wanted it, now they don't even leave the front to help you look for something that you've been buying there for 5 years. You should look into the app Nextdoor for Morrison Ranch Estates, I am not the only one complaining about the people that work there with the exception of Harry and the guy in produce. This has been going on for a long time , getting much worse to the point I'm now driving to Calabasas to shop.

Hi Ralph's, I routinely use your grocery pick up service. One item that is not on your order list, or perhaps I just haven't found it, is "La Salsa Chilena" it comes in mild, medium and hot. I've been told by your local staff that it is carried in all Ralph's, so it should be added for pick up. Can you please make this happen?
Thanks

3pm Friday at the Simi Valley Ralphs. Our line is deep into aisle 4 with 6 shoppers in front of us 2 cashiers open. Stire recently put in self service; most customers don't want it. Obnoxious. Complained politely to manager who is one of two cashiers. She called for another cashier. This sucks. I've been shopping here for 30 years.

Ralphs Santa Barbara, CA on Carillo St. 6:30 a.m.
Cashier with a single-layer bandana, opening on the bottom, flowing mask, not protective. I am an RN at a nearby hospital. Do not appreciate a cashier with no protection, which that is not.
Called manager, who said she could not force workers to comply with a mask, yet they require shoppers to wear them.
Dangerous shopping!

I received Covid vaccine at your Downtown San Diego store on January 15. Thank you for having it.
I was surprised you did not have a process to set up the required second vaccine in 28 days. I was told to keep checking and when you get a new supply to apply online again
Today (Jan 18) it appears you are again offering it. I've spent the last hour attempting to schedule an appointment for my second shot, but after filling everything out multiple times, the appointments portal states the time I selected is unavailable. I've tried a dozen separate dates and times.
I want to make an appointment in person, but your pharmacy employee says she can't because "Corporate" wants all appointments to be made online. Catch-22. I'll soon be desperate to get my second shot and hope there's a way to get it at Ralph's.

I have been shopping at this Ralphs since they opened. I am a loyal customer and fought to keep this store opened when they tried to shut it down. I have not worn a mask in this stirred for this past year due to being medically exempt, the Managers and Employees have been fine with this as I social distance, use self check out, and as a blood donor I am checked regularly for antibodies of which I have never tested positive. On 12/25/2020 I was harassed by Mike (the director) who all this time has been polite, held numerous conversations with me, knows I am exempt and has had no problem this entire time. He was rude, confrontational and discriminating due to my being exempt. I shop not only for myself but for most of my elderly neighbors and many others. I am writing this because when so call Corporate I am told it is fine as long as I continue to social distance but he is not listening to them and he needs to. I shop at other stores like Stater Bros. and gave no issues at all as they understand I am exempt. Mask wearing us not a law but us a strong recommendation. It is recommended if you cannot social distance. I am considering giving my business only to Stater Bros., Vons and taking my clients with me. I try to shop them all to help keep them working through all of this but I will stop supporting them if this harassment continues and spread the word to my family, friends and community as well.

1/1/2021 2:15 pm Fallbrook and Victory Blvd Woodland Hills
Entered store with daughter and friend who was in front of us by a bit. She realized she didn't have a mask and went to the nearby desk to ask for one. I was trying to call out to her that I had a mask fior her.
Cashier Stacy yells at me from 50 feet away in an aggressive and unacceptable manor- knowing Nothing of what was happening. She also made a snide remark to my friend after she received a mask from the desk.
I asked for the front end Manager Dominick and then to Assistant manager Chris who refused my request foe an in ident report against this employee. I was told to call Corporate.
Corporate is closed today so I'm writing this report as a time stamp of incident.
This store has no one at the entrance monitoring entrances and does not have a count of people entering or leaving either.
The employee they have yelling at people at this store is an absolute liability.

I am writing to share my experience this evening at the Ralph's on the corner of Goldenwest and Garfield in Huntington Beach, CA. Unfortunately, it was quite terrible.

I went in to pick up some groceries as I usually do multiple times a week. I grabbed my groceries, but I had forgotten to pick up some gift cards for my team. So, I re-entered the store to pick them up. I grabbed the cards I wanted and went to checkout. The lines for the lanes with cashiers were longer and there was no one at the self-check area, so I went to the self check lane. I began to checkout and I rang up all the gift cards. I wanted to try and use a Kroger gift card, so I chose "other" as my payment method. The screen stated that I need to speak with an attendant. So, I pressed the "Speak with attendant" button at the bottom right. I continued to wait. The cashier in front of me turned around to look at me (I later found out that her name was Noralee and that she was the manager?!). She then turned back around and returned to what she was doing. She was waiting on something, so she left her station and tended to some business behind the front counter (I assume it was the manager's area). While she was there tended to whatever she needed to, she continued to look my way and make eye contact with me, and again, she continued to ignore me. This whole time, I thought that it was supposed to be someone else that was assigned to man this area, so I continued to wait. I waited there about ten minutes and still no one came. It was only after other customers began to use the self check area and another patron needed assistance that she FINALLY came to this area to tend to the area. Of course, she again ignored me, the person that was there first and waiting for about ten minutes, and went to the other Caucasian fellow. Only after she helped him, did she turn my way and literally snapped at me asking "What do you need?!" I was quite taken back. I asked her why it took so long for someone to come to my attention as I had waited for ten minutes. She stated that she "didn't see me", which is a total lie because we made eye contact multiple times. Then she asked me rudely "What do you want?!" I pointed to the screen and told her that the screen told me that I needed an attendant. She saw that I was trying to purchase gift cards and said that "You can't do here. You have to go to a cashier!" Frankly, I don't even think that is true, because the software seems pretty sophisticated and specific for something that couldn't be done. Regardless, I find this whole situation quite troubling.

First, she was not apologetic at all. If I told that I had been waiting for 10 minutes she should have apologized for the inconvenience and tried to make it better, regardless of whether she saw me or not. That's just basic customer service. But no, she was rude which further suggests to me that her mistreatment was intentional. Also, beside her lack of contrition, she made no effort to remedy the situation. If she really believed the cards couldn't be purchased at the shelf check, she should have offered to help me as soon as she was free to help. Instead, she basically told me to go wait in the cashier's line and that they were the only ones who could help. Further, as soon as the other (white) fella needed help, she jumped to help him rather immediately. How was she so alert to his need for help? My suspicion is that there has to be some alerting system in place those in self check that need an attendant. Further, if she didn't know I needed help, why did she come my way after helping him? None of this makes any sense. Her lie is not believable even in the context that she suggests.

My concern is multifaceted. First and foremost, she is a manager?! She is supposed to teach and train other employees? How is she able to do that with what she just demonstrated? Is this really the type of employees that Ralph's wants representing them? There are only two logical explanations for her behavior. 1) What she states is true, and she is just that imcompetent that she didn't notice a customer standing there in need of help, ignoring the alerting system that was in place, and providing the atrocious customer service that she did. OR... 2) She is racist. She saw an Asian man in need of help, and she refused to help him, forcing him to wait, only coming to the area to help a white man. Neither explanation is acceptable.

Which explanation you choose to believe, I certainly hope that your store is able to clean this up and purge this sort of unacceptable conduct. However, in the meantime, I will be going to Albertson's the other way down Goldenwest. I plan on sharing my experience with Noralee to all of my neighbors in the Peninsula and adjacent neighborhoods, all of the students I teach in the area, everyone that will listen at my church down the street, and most of all to every patient that I see at the hospital and clinic. Noralee not just wasted my time but her blatant disrespect has cost your store it's reputation.

Noralee and frankly Ralph's should have done better, MUCH better!

Hello
I have been a regular shopper at yyour Marina Pacifica store for over 10 years
I witnessed the sanitation process you did at the beginning of the the pandemic and it was adequate now the sanitation is non existent
No wiping of carts no hourly cleaning of checker stations hand sanitizer is always empty
It seems like Ralfs chooses not to recognize COVID-19 as a problem
I frequent 4 other grocery stores in the area and they all are focused on sanitation but not "Ralfs" I'm guessing you don't want to spend the money to help to keep your customers safe
I have chosen to shop at Pavillions even though it's another 10 minutes down PCH

I look forward to your response
Thank You
Pete Hunt

I keep having problems with your store delivery program. I ordered 36 items but only $6.35 appear.
Does Ralphs have a limit on the number of items for delivery? This has happened 3 time I called the store but no one ever answers Sunday 1 pm Monterey Park South Atlantic Blvd.???

Once again NBC is promoting and asking for donations for the food program for people who are under privileged. Once again NOT ONE checker asked if we wanted to donate so consequently I didn't because I wasn't reminded l. If you were really interested in assisting the less fortunate you would make a much bigger effort to ask your customers especially in affluent areas if they want to donate. I'm very disappointed with how Ralph's is handling this.

Posted by Kagey

Come on Ralph's get your act together. Every store is wiping down carts and baskets. Even your offering of wipes is terrible. The dispenser of wipes was empty today and no one was jumping up to fill the dispenser. The store itself smells and is dirty. There used to be a really good old timer store manager running this store but I don't see him around anymore. The downstairs parking lot should be condemned. There is liquid leaking from the ceiling from all over the ceiling causing puddles. The parking lot is dirty and needs to be cleaned out and attended to. This store has generally gone way down in appearance and quality. They have one mentally challenged gentlemen who is in charge of bringing in all the shopping carts. He's been with the store a long time. He's handling all those nasty carts and not wearing gloves. Why not? I noticed the cheese, deli aisle today. It looked like a tornado went off there. Big gaps where items were sold out and piled up empty boxes some of which were spilled on the floor. Of course, I couldn't find two different cheeses I was looking for. I did finally find the female store manager. I wanted to bring this to her attention. Do you know what she said to me? She said she was on her break. How about that? Yeah, someone needs to get into your Santa Barbara store and get this store cleaned up in lots of different ways.

Regarding the pricing at your store in Placentia on Rose Drive. I shop at this store all the time, and in general like it fine. However, in recents weeks the shelf prices frequently do not match the product price. In particular, I have noticed particularly the refrigerated service deli pricing. Routinely they are out of product, ex pizzas and fill the shelf with home chef products without changing the price. Yesterday was the final straw... shelf wS fully stocked with home chef items at approx 17..99 on the pkg... shelf price said 3.99... other items pkg price 8.99 , shelf 7.99 . As people are busy Nd this is technically a grab and go case, it is easy to grab a bunch of things only looking at the shelf tag... isn't this called pricing integrity? I brought it to the store mgrs attention and he was nice and told me he was usually too busy to check. Makes me wonder what else is mismarked in the store? Thank you... Deborah Murphy

i am very appalled ...1st off i'm at the local store & the security guard says i've got to wipe my own cart, he's standing in the entry! i sho many stores i.e. stater bros, vons, walMart they all have workers to sanitize the carts, baskets. 2nd when i went on website for corp. ralphs on artesia blvd the 'chat gal' says i'll transfer you to a agent. SO YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO CHARGE $1.00 TO LEAVE A QUESTION & GET AN ANSWER? is this the ralphs that's been around since 1903 "ralphs grocery company" in los angeles?

I live in Anaheim CA near, Ball Ave Cypress, and Brookhurst & Ball stores. Would you please stock, in your freezer, Hormel's, Mary Kitchens corned beef and turkey hashes. I bet they would be a great seller for you. They are really good and convenient for a quick nutritious breakfast.
Thank you for your consideration.

I will no longer shop at your store on carmel mt. It was the worst experience I've had at this store.I have been shopping there since it opened and today was it. Had a problem with a none masker who was following me and cussing at me . I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK and the girl there didn't even look at me because she was looking at her phone and all she said yah yah I hear you and waved me away. This women followed me around even to the check out line harassing me when the manager came up all he did was talk to her and who wouldn't shut up. And dismissed me completely. Yes I was yelling back and told her to just shut the fk up. And went about my business. To have been fending off a Q follwer and being treated like this is enough for me. You may feel losing 1 customers isn't much but I will share my experience with my family and friends. Glad I have alot more places I can choose to shop.

I was at the Ralph's store located on Balboa and Devonshire between 11pm and 12 there was only one check stand open and as I started unloading my groceries the customer ahead of me walked away the cashier who was a male African American was throwing up at the check stand and was sweating a lot that he had a paper towel wiping his face. I was very concerned and told him he should go home. He just looked at me and started throwing up more. The manager came over and said he would go he get him a chair. And I was shocked that he brought him a chair where the cashier sat down and continued being sick and sweat poring down his face. I asked the manager if I could check out at the self service check out and he was more concerned about the groceries that had been left. The manager then checked my groceries and the cashier was still sitting in the chair throwing up. What is wrong with this manager when I was leaving the store the cashier was up and checking out customers. He never left to go and clean himself up or wash his hands. On my way home I really wish that I had just left my groceries because I'm 70 years old and I'm really stressing out that this cashier could have been infected with COVID-19 virus and now I could be infected! And I live with my mother who is 85 and bed ridden and my daughter, 3 grandchildren. I want someone to take or send someone out to that store and find out if there are employees that might have been infected. I pray that no one has but I also want someone to contact me as soon as possible.

The Ralphs on 1730 W. Manchester Ave, Los Angeles CA and 11922 S. Vermont Ave Los Angeles CA use the carts we put our food in to collect trash from the parking lots. The manager on Vermont tried to tell me that his employee was using an old cart but he had pulled another one from the stack and lined it with a trash bag. The manager on Western was very rude and annoyed that i even asked him why are they doing this. His response was... Its much easier that way and that the employee will sterilize the cart when he is done. Not only are we in a pandemic but who wants to transport there groceries in a trash can sterile or not. This big corporation can't afford a trash can.... SAD JUST SAD. Done shopping here.

I regret that I will not shop at the Ralphs on 9th St. in downtown Los Angeles. The management there does not enforce the mask requirement. As a senior citizen, I am careful to respect the rules that protect us from the Coronavirus. Yesterday, I was dismayed to come face-to-face with another customer at that Ralphs who was not wearing a mask. I later called the store and asked the guy who answered if Ralphs enforced the mask requirement. He told me their policy was to ask anyone who came in without a mask to put one on but that was all they could do. That's not good enough.

I will never step foot in my Ralphs again. I have shopped in Ralphs Culver City and Overland and Jefferson for many many years. Number one they are not taking care of their clients there is no washing down of the carts. None of the checkout counters are ever sprayed or washed after anybody. I sent my son to the market because I am afraid of going into the markets. I gave him cash the bill was 525 he gave them six dollars. We don't give change the person said. There was no notification when you went in only when you're checking out. Why don't you round it off so that you lose the quarter not me losing $.75. For a market that I had such confidence in, You people should be ashamed of yourself the way you are treating loyal customers check my card and you'll see how much money I have spent in that store over the years. Not that you really care what's one more customer gone

Ralphs at 3350 la Sierra ave has a sign that says sanitized shopping cart for your safety & convenience sanitized shopping cart located here what I witnessed was employees taking carts from parking lot into store and not one cart was sanitized told management walk out three minutes later walk back in they never sanitized anything people are getting sick we have to trust your doing the right thing to keep your customers safe your failed to do so coronavirus is killing people

Are you watching Social Media about your store at McBean & Decoró in Valencia? It has blown up. People talking to the manager there said he/she told them to "pounds sand" if they care about people not wearing face masks. NO enforcement. Very, very nice. Hope you lose lots of business. You lost mine!

Please tell employees to say "excuse me" when sweeping near customers. I shouldn't have to jump out of the way because an employee is using a broom. I also work in hospitality. I was taught to sweep as customers leave the area, not when they are around or eating. 4760 Pico Blvd

I will never step foot in a Ralph's again. They do nothing to keep their customers safe and do not enforce a mask policy. I had an incident with a man at the Ralph's at the corner of Burbank Blvd and Van Nuys Blvd., who was standing within 6 feet of me and refused to wear a mask. He told me he did not believe in it. When I complained to the manager, the manager informed me that they do not enforce it and I could call the police.

I am a dark-skinned,tall,African-American woman wearing a mask. I might look a little a scary but not scary enough that the manager(who is also Black) needs to run when I head to the exit after having spent my money. My money is just as green as anyone else's. Also, employees who sweep the floor should excuse themselves when sweeping around customers instead of customers having to move out of the way. This happened at 4760 Pico Boulevard.

As long as Ralph's does not mandate masks for all customers and employee's I will no longer do business at your grocery store and you've been my first choice. State of Ca mandates masks while in public. Either you step up or you will loose business!

Went into Ralph's this evening. A team member named Courtney was in the self checkout. There were no bags to be found. Since she was busy horse playing with another co worker she did not even acknowledge I purchased 2 bags. I asked her if I could have a bag and she pointed to a bag left aside and said that's all we got. I then said I paid for two bags. Courtney the replies well they were free anyways. I then replied oh perhaps a sign about the no bag charge Is necessary. She then walks past me angrily and grabs a handful of bags and placed them on the wire rack. She passes by me and my 11 year old daughter and says dumb ass. I asked pardon me and she just ignored me. I found another team member and asked for the manager and she said the manager is on break. I asked if she could have the manager who's name she gave me as Julie call me back. Because I did not receive a call I reached out myself only to find that Courtney kept answering the phone. Finally after 5 calls. I get a different response. It was interesting to find that Julie answers the phone by saying how can I help you this is Julie the manager. I then said are you the manager Julie she said yes. I then asked for the number to corporate because staff is playing with the phones and Julie says again how can I help you. I replied I need to speak with the General manager she then placed me on hold and seconds later a get a gentleman who says I'm the assistant manager. And I am on top of Julie. I asked who is Julie and he said the manager. I asked how is the assistant on command over the manager and he then asks if he can help me. I told him I was not satisfied with the guest relations told him the issue and he said I'm sorry. You can feel free to call the Ralph's 800 number for corporate. Absolutely disgusting to say the very least. If team members don't want to work they should stay home. This store needs customer service training. Management is to blame as they are responsible for their employees and they are a direct representation of their leader. I advise immediate correction and retraining or hire new staff. What a shame.

I was about to enter (4760) Ralph's when the female security guard says that she does not like "them" too dark. She then proceeded to politely speak to the Asian woman who had entered the store behind me but she ignored me. The security guard is
Black but her skin is lighter than mine. My skin is dark but, my money is the same green .

My ten year old boy has a terminal illlness and. so I wouldn't let b
him go out to cash out his piggy bank and I told him I would do it for him at this locations coin star. the bagger and three clerks were making fun of me when I heard them trying to get the cash because I have an expensive bag and I heard their comments about it and it was extremely sad, because I was videotaping it for my son to see, but I will be posting it on social media today.

So.....I went to Ralph's in El Segundo at 5:30 this morning since they no longer offer senior shopping. I did have a hard time finding anything with the aisle switch and many aisles were blocked.

But the most disturbing thing was about 50% of employees were not wearing masks or were not wearing them properly. I asked 1 guy to please put his mask on and he tells me, "I work here" So I went and found the manager and asked her to walk the store and see how many employees were non-compliant!

This is a blatant disregard for the orders in place, and for the safety of the employees, and the customers especially the vulnerable population.

It is no wonder the numbers are rising.

I shop at the Ralphs in Van Nuys California on Burbank Blvd. A few times I go in there , there is a African American man who is early 20s is my guess. He works at the meat dept. and today he was wiping off the carts outside. he stares hard at me and than calls me ugly and other names multiple times I am in the store. and this is creepy because why would he care or pay me so much attention. and to be blunt he needs to look in the mirror. he is making me angry and one day I am going to explode in the store. Seems like he hates me for some reason all though he don't know me and seems to know I would turn down his advances cause why pay me so much attention. it's not like him and everyone else in Ralpsh are models. He stares so hard at me every time. I am really losing my patients plus he is creepy and has no business doing this to me.

Ralphs Culver City On Jefferson ~ No One Is Controlling The Amount Of Customers By The Entrance, All Other Markets Has A Line Outside, 5 Customers Exit The Store, 5 Are Allowed To Go In ~ Cashiers & Other Employes Are Not All Wearing "gloves" Which Should Be Mandatory During The Covid 19 Pandemic - Went To Other Markets Near By, Pavillion ~ Sprouts ~ Trader Joe's ~ All Wearing Masks & Gloves ~ Sprouts Goes A Step Further, By Spraying The Belt Where Groceries Are On Between Ea. Customers ~ I Am Very Grateful For Employes Working At These Time, However, During This Crisis "all Precautions" Should Be Made" ~ Customers Refusing Not To Wear Masks, Should "not" Be Permitted To Enter The Stores!

I mostly use the Ralph's store on El Toro Rd in Lake Forest. During this pandemic I rarely go, but the Saturday before Mother's Day I stopped to get last-minute items. I was seriously unhappy with the way the check-out lines were being operated. I stood in my first line of approximately 15 people and when I was one person away they closed the check stand and I had to go to the back of the line for another station. This happened again and I had to go to the back of another line! At this point I just said "Forget it" and I left the store, leaving my cart just sitting there! I had previously, on an earlier date, had a similar thing happen and I went to the manager and told him he had to get more checkers out or get to one register himself. He did, finally. On both occasions he had only 2 cashiers working with approximately 50 people in line! This is not good customer service at all! Do these managers no know their jobs? There are a lot more markets in this area, so we don't have to put up with this poor service.

Ralphs La Quinta, Ca. SHAME on Ralphs. I was in your La Quinta store on Jefferson, April 13, 2020 and shocked to see they are still letting some people in who are not wearing masks. This is Riverside County, which made it MANDATORDY that you wear a mask or cover your nose and mouth with a bandana or scarf, etc. This was done a few weeks ago.

I went up to the Service desk and asked the young man behind the desk, wearing his mask, "Why are you letting people in without masks or covering their nose and mouth.
His answer was this "If you have a problem with that tell them". I said "I did", it's mandatory now". "Why are not enforcing it?" He said "We are not allowed to" Then he
said "If you still have a problem with that Go to Corporate".

So here I am. I don't know if he was just being nasty or he really thinks that.

Maybe the local news would be interested in Ralphs ignoring this mandate which puts their customers and employees in jeopardy.

Shame on Ralphs!!!! The Ralphs location in Encino, California has arbitrarily ignored the mayor's and governor's orders to keep at least 6 feet of distance from one another. Aa of last week, March 30, Ralphs doesnt limit the number of customers in that store at one time. So, customers are standing shoulder to shoulder. Ralphs is being extremely irresponsible and putting our community at risk of COVID19 at a time when the world is in a health crisis. 25% of the virus carriers are Asymptomatic. Shame on Ralphs!!!! You are endangering the health and wellness of everyone in the community!!!!

I suggest that you shoppers that are complaining about the store and employees cut them some slack. They are working under horrible circumstances dealing with customer after customer that has a problem and you people expect them to be acting like 'Little Miss Sunshine'. Back off. Consider the current situation and show some compassion.

RE: Covid-19 Please take measures to ensure safer handling and delivery of online orders to Ralph's customers. I've visited the store on Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica twice in the past two weeks, the latest trip yesterday. I was amazed that most of the employees I observed shopping for online customers had no masks, no gloves, handles some items and replaced them on shelves, often egnored their distance from others and seemed to be so focused on filling carts that they were oblivious to the safeguards needed to protect themselves, other customers in the stores and those whose orders were being filled. Online shopping may be convenient but it sure isn't safe. Ralph's is not alone but please, Management take proper action to rectify this dangerous oversight.

Yours is the only market in San Clemente not offering special seniors only hours to shop.
Albertsons, Walmart, Target are all doing what you're not.
Standing first in line is not safe for us. Too much exposure to non seniors, particularly kids home from closed schools.
We will shop elsewhere until you do the right thing.

I was a customer inhe Cerritos California store this morning and had a horrible experience after having stood in line outside. While standing in the checkout line the cashier whose name is Rachael, excused herself to help a customer with a rain check. This took approximately 3-5 minutes. I had already placed groceries on the belt so,it wasn't about changing lines, which would have been my option, I waited for her to do do the above mentioned transaction and upon completing this, a gentleman stopped her and she proceeded to help him. I became a little irate and expressed my concern that I have waited now about five minutes. When she came back to her register, she was more interested in telling me to calm down than proceeding to check me out so I could go home. While this exchange was going on, the cashier at the next register whose name is Maria, decided she would stop helping her customer and get involved. I told her this had nothing to do with her and to please continue taking care of her customer. I asked to speak to the manager to voice my concern that a cashier would leave her station and not comeback for about five minutes.

The Ralphs in Encinitas, CA have new rule, store represantative , who was from corporate office told us this morning that they will allow 5 people in, from each side of the store, he was claiming that its your policy now. Then we asked him why, he said "because people are trashing the store".
We, the local neighborhood in Encinitas, would like to express our outrage over this policy. We shop at this store for years, we like the store and appreciate the customer service. If your new policy really is to let every morning 5 people in, we are going to shop somewhere else.
Just to let you know, if you notice reduction in the business.

Coronavirus causing pandemic among all. Ralph's downtown store on 9th street is allowing one individual to purchase 12 gallons of water never ever limiting one another to two per customer.
I could not believe one person had two 6 packs of gallon geyser spring waters on the curb today? What is wrong with them. That manager should be sat down because I did not get one gallon because this person & maybe a few others left with all? Crazy?

I always loved the variety Ralph's offered along with their sales and coupons in the mail. However, I am very dissatisfied with the fee for cash withdrawal. I went out of my way to bypass Albertsons, Stater Bri's, Walmart and Sprouts to shop Ralph's for the variety of selection, store display, customer service and convenience of getting cash withdrawal. This new fee for cash withdrawal has really upset me. I will reconsider shopping there and select another market that is not trying to gouge the customers. I wouldn't have gone had I known you started charging a fee.

I've been a customer of Ralph's for over 30 years
Now I was told if you want cash back on your debit card they will be a charge
What has me so mad and will not shop at Ralph's anymore is I went to the Ralph's in temple city calif and not one check stand was open e everything was self service
I cant believe that I need to ring and bag my own things
I will not shop Ralph's every again

Build a new Ralphs in Inglewood. Demolish the Food 4 Less on Crenshaw & Century and build a state of the art store. Or build high raise condo's with the store on the 1st level.
Underground parking. Wake up...The NFL is changing the area.

On May 13th, My Husband Prentyea Smith, Finally Had Orientation, After Trying To Get Hired For 6 Months. He Was Hired For Night Crew. He Was Then Scheduled To Work On 05/18/2017-05/20/2017 Midnight To 8:30am And Off On Sunday. The Night Manager Lexa Asked If He Could Work Sunday And He Agreed. Lexa Told Him To Take Monday Off. He Worked Tuesday, Wednesday, And Thursday And Was Not Scheduled Until Monday 05/29/2017. On Saturday 05/27/2017 He Received A Fedex Envelope With A Check In It And Attached Was A Flyer For Unemployment Benefits. We Went To Employee Site To Check Schedule And We Couldn't Get On. My Husband Called The Manager Lex And Was Told That The Night Crew Had Rallied Around And Told Lex That My Husband Couldn't Get Down To His Knees And Back Up Fast Enough. Lex Proceeded To Tell My Husband That He Was Finding A Different Position For Him And There Would Be Another Check On Monday. We Went Back Monday To Get Check And The Manager On Duty, Mark, Told My Husband That Lex Had Told Mark He Let My Husband Go. So Is It Ralphs Protocol To Fire People Through The Mail? There Was Never A Manager Conversation With My Husband, No Training Whatsoever, Nobody Asked If Maybe He Had A Disability And Couldn't Get Up And Down Off His Knees Fast Enough. There Was Absolutely Nothing Done On The Managers End To Communicate With My Husband That There Was An Issue. I Find This Process Disturbing, Discriminatory And Extremely Unprofessional! My Husband Was So Happy To Be Hired, Begging For A Job, Stayed Diligent With The Managers, Even After They Kept Blowing Off His Interview And Rescheduling. We Live Across The Street From The Store On Montezuma In San Diego, Within Walking Distance. Please Explain To Me How There Is No Exit Interview, Signed Nothing, No Conversation With Managers, The Night Crew Made The Decision For The Manager Lex, Who Never Had The Decency To Talk To My Husband Face To Face, But Could Fire Him Without Telling Him?!

Sunday night, 5/21, I went into the Fountain Valley store to return; some candy. I had both the returned item, and the receipt, with me.I went back to the candy aisle to see if the correct flavor was there, but it wasn't, so I went up to the store clerk to ask for a return. 'Meeting me there was the night manager. Being a customer who has been at Ralphs for years (and whom the manager had seen me there)he questioned me like some kind of criminal right away. If he had just asked why I went to candy aisle instead of going to the return desk, I would have gladly told him that I was just looking to see your availability of the product (he saw me with the receipt when I first came in, and the return item was in my purse-which I believe he saw). His attitude stunk! If he tries to pull the attitude he showed at me again, I will just call the police department.

I contacted Marc Antony the manager at Ralphs on 42cnd., in Bermuda Dunes re: accusations Sat that I accidentally/on purpose took some fish without paying, and although he did apologize, he insisted he ran out and accosted me and said
"have you paid for all your items, following that with maybe I had absentmindedly left the fish in the lower basket, only to make certain I had not forgotten my fish. Baloney.
He also admitted he scanned my receipt looking for the fish. I go to Ralphs every 3 days and have never stolen anything. Please respond

I am an 83 year old senior who shops at Ralphs 3-4x week. This morning 3/18, as I was loading groceries into my car the manager appeared and accused me of having an item (fish) without paying for it. Not true. I was insulted and embarrassed, plus he frightened me when he suddenly appeared outside my car. Not even an
apology.

Telephoned your office 2 weeks ago with complaint; person said they would get back to me. ZERO.

Telephoned today: hold time over 10 minutes, that is terrible customer service for retail.

Why don't you contact me about the situation where you are losing money and customers at If I am in a meeting and unavailable, leave me a number which I can get ahold of in less than 10 minutes.

Comment regarding Ralphs Market in Temple City, CA. My husband and I live about 3 blocks from this store and walk around the community every morning. We have shopped at this market for years but we will not now due to trash conditions around the market. The weeds on the street front are at least 2 feet tall and the trash in them has not been picked up in months. I have talked to the manager Ralph Castle on numerous occasions telling him of the trash problem and the how it makes our community look like a dump. He assured us that it would be taken care of. I told him we would be back to see him each week and we visited the store this morning and paged the Manager and Ralph Castle came out and saw us and abruptly turned around and went the other direction. Please can you give me some pointers to have the trash and landscaping problem resolved.
I called the corporate office this morning after being treated so rudely and voiced my complaint. My case number is 21340688. I was told by the nice young customer complaint department that I had no way of finding out about my complaint. She was never notified of any solutions.
I so hope that this gets resolved so I can spend my time doing something other than complaining.

As a frequent shopper of this store, I am very saddened to hear that the Ralph's store located in the Quad (Whittier, CA) will be closing in November 2014. I have been a resident of Whittier for 31 years. I live walking distance from the market and frequent the market more than a few times a week. I cannot believe that a Walmart neighborhood market will be in it's place in the near future. I hate Walmart and do not shop or support them. Neither does my family. I would highly recommend you consider keeping the Whittier Quad Ralph's store open. With the closure of Albertsons this is the best option for folks who live in the 90602 area.

Why are you closing our Ralph's at the Whittier Quad. I've lived in Whittier for 54 years and now your closing a store that is so close to my home. The community is very upset and its all over facebook. This store is always busy and in a shopping area. You must re-consider your decision and listen to the Whittier Community. You will be forcing the community to shop at Stater Bros or Albertsons...If we have to get a petition going to save our market, we will. You and your large corporate polices and bottom line and not thinking of our community.

Just trying to find who is the book buyer for Ralphs> I have tried the complete menu for Ralphs and Kroger but get no response. I am a PGA golf instructor in the La Quinta, CA. area and written a very good instruction book which should be available in the stores in the Palm Springs area. The book is now only available through golf clubs here and through Amazon. It a great seller in the golf shops which have it and should sell well here as this the largest golf destination in the country and the season is about to start. Please advise me as to how I can get this book on the shelves. Thank you, Jack Gibson

We just done some light shopping at your Ralphs store on 6/23/14, the Ralphs store at 1101 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, Ca, phone We love coming to this store because of Victor, Raquel, Joanne, Yi and Reuben. They are delightful to deal with. They're always helpful, smiling, energetic and cheerful. They make every one of our shopping experience, large or small amount, a pleasant place to do business with. There's also a relatively new young checker who's also a great Ralphs employee. The rest of the employees can learn good customer service skill from these folks metioned above.

I am a vendor inside Ralphs. The store manager Clyde and the receiving manager (I don't know his name and I'm not trying to be insensitive but he is Asian)at the Ralphs located at 1101 W Huntington Drive in Arcadia CA are both extremely rude, lack a personality, are unfriendly, and are not helpful. When I am forced to deal with Clyde because no other manager is available 100% of the time the project that I am working on does not get done. The other managers that I have worked with in the store are the opposite of Clyde. They have always been friendly and are always willing to help. Other vendors that I have spoken to in the store feel the same way about Clyde and the receiving manager. From this day forward, if Clyde is unwilling to work with me I am going to mark my project "manager refused" so that your customers are aware that I cannot complete the projects that they are sending me into the store to do because of the store manager.

I have been shopping at Ralph's Mkt. for a long while. I am very concerned about your delivery of Diamond Bakery to the store. I am finding that the breads, for instant, are days old and only last a day or two. Isn't it the law that have to let the consumer know that these items were delivered to the store 2 or 3 days before. I kept thinking they were fresh, but after a day or two I have to throw them away. I will not buy baked goods in the store except your French breads baked by your bakery and, I think they are fresh.
