The customer in question has been a frequent patron of the store since its reopening after undergoing renovations. Despite having certain concerns about the store's pricing and inventory management, they continued to shop at this location due to its convenient proximity to their place of residence. During their visit, the customer, dressed in their work attire, intended to pick up a considerable amount of groceries. While browsing through the store, they picked up a single serving of milk to alleviate their hunger pangs. While contemplating the discrepancy in the prices of two bottles of laundry soap, a security guard approached the customer. The guard, who was of Oriental descent, spoke in broken English and offered assistance. However, the situation quickly took a turn for the worse, as the guard accused the customer of shoplifting the milk they were consuming.

The Safeway on Homestead and Kiely in Santa Clara,CA has the rudest staff. Today when I went to the store and waited in line for customer service, there was a family in front of me with 3 children that had been waiting patiently already, I asked the nearest cashier if she could call for help again. She was very rude and said the manager could see us on the camera and would come out when he was ready. I have already faced several issues with this store from recycling to wrong pricing and each time these folks get plain rude. There are other customers around at the time and they just don't seem to care.

Please reach out to this store and try and correct the situation. If the people don't want to be there then they should stay home or find another job that makes them happy.

I would like to commend one person on this staff who has tried to overcome theses Negative Nellies and that's Troy. He is the most patient and kind person on the whole staff.

Disheartening the ONLY worker I see at the Alamo store DOES NOT speak enough English to say where ice cream toppings/sauce is located. I don't speak Chinese nor should I have to. I hope the English speakers are getting paid more than the flotsam in your store. BTW I AM LEGALLY DIABLED awaiting surgery so I can walk.

Your 15th avenue store is so filthy in parking lot and where you enter the building from the homeless people I don't even want to shop there any more. You need to clean the doors and the concrete it's disgusting! Do something!!!

My son had a breakthrough coved infection. Has been vaccinated fully. Doctor sent prescription to Safeway pharmacy in Cameron park. We were wearing masks and following separation protocols when the pharmacist announced we had coved and had to wait outside. Complete lack of professionalism and embarrassing to be announced in front of several waiting customers.
I'm dropping them and finding a new pharmacy.
We waited a half hour and gave up , the heat was uncomfortably . Two hours later a get call as if we were still waiting outside .. announcing we has cived in C front of waiting customers is unlawful. Do something to correct this

Safeway, clean up your damn parking lot at the Hillcrest/Deer Valley Antioch store!. Spoken with management numerous times and they didn't care about my concerns as a customer or resident of the community. While you're at it, add those Barriers where you have to scan your receipt before leaving. Too many thefts and stop locking up your crap. Fix the damn problem!!!!

Folsom blvd Rancho Cordova Safeway restrooms are deplorable. Dry fesses on the floors and stall walls and floor. 2 of 4 stall commodes were not working and plugged with fesses in the commodes. Dried sticky matter on the floor and sinks are black for lack of cleaning. Absolutely unsafe and hazardous ⚠️. Please help this store to render immediate maintenance to their restrooms. You'll not see me in this store until this has been rectified. My hope is this isn't corporates standard business practice. Very distraught customer.

Silverdale store is going down hill rapidly. Chicken in the deli was obviously burnt yet the store manager left it in the case for sale. Manager had agreed that it wasn't good but sold it anyway. Selection of Hagen Daz ice cream is very limited. Store is dirty. The new Winco store has better prices, selection, and is clean. Winco chicken was much better and lhas a lower every day price . Silverdale store wouldn't make a corsage without day's wait for an order. Bremerton store made a corsage on request. We've been loyal customers for 35 years but now we'll shop elsewhere. If we do go into the Silverdale it will only be out of respect for the checker Alison.

I use the pharmacy at the store in Lakeport, California. I am so happy to finally found a great place to get my meds. The crew there are real pros and they should be acknowledged for their attention to detail and their kind responsiveness to their clients.

I went to 2 stores in thornton, co today looking for an item in your weekly flyer. Boneless Marinated Petite Beef Filet. Today is the first day of the flyer, but neither store had any. How is this possible? Especially on the first day. The first store clerk said they might get some Friday. The meat man at the 2nd store couldn't even tell me what cut of beef these filets were cut from. The picture in the ad makes them look like beef tenderloin, but I think that's just creative photography. I'm disabled, and it's a job to go shopping, and lately it seems like if something is on sale at Safeway, you can depend on them being out of it.

I was in a Safeway store and I purchase some grapes, on the sign said 88 cents a pound when I got home my receipt said I paid 299 a pound . I called the store and the produce manager said that I had to have the clip coupon for a app but I did not see it on the sign. It would be helpful if it was posted in large print so that people will not pay such a unsurprising price for a product.

Concerning today's current event of dealing with Covid19
Your Kapolei Safeway on Oahu has its workers not complying with state standards of wearing a face mask in public and in stores. Especially working in a grocery store. More so wearing a face mask should be followed. Well just today 5/8/2020 @ approximately between 1:15 - 2:00 pm. Your employee there ignored the security man at entrance trying to stop him about not having a face mask on. My husband had to call the Mgr Robert and bring him to the security at entrance to let your store Mgr know that his worker is not following this state rule. And hearing from another employee there that he doesn't need a mask because he works at safeway.
I feel this is totally disrespectful to all that shop at your store. Including myself and my family. We all don't want to wear these masks but this is what is needed now. And to see that your employees do not follow and that they don't need to is quite disturbing. I don't want to bring this to all others attention but I feel that contacting you will be sufficient enough.
I trust that you will handle this and we can all deal with this together and safely.

I was told about an incident at a Safeway store mid august 2014. When a cashier followed a customer around the store. She was acting for security? She than accused the shopper of shop lifting. The cashier asked to search the shoppers purse and found nothing? I was surprised that the employee was allowed to act in such a manner! And why did security not catch or stop either the shopper or the employee? Does the employee(cashier) have the right to discriminate, profile or humiliate customers? If not why does she still have her job? I've done some research and the employee is just a cashier. And she isn't security?? So what's being done??

Safeway pharmacy in Vancouver Washington #0400 they need new staff.. Everytime I go in to get my refill. They tend to tell me they re sorry they are back up.. Everytime! Enough is enough.. I am tired of making two trips to the pharmacy to get my medication.. It is the only closest pharmacy that I can go to.. Please help..

OK enough is enough. We have seen 3 managers at our Discovery Bay store over the last 7 years. The only on worth anything was Nicole Duran. That store never ran better. The previous manager was horrible and now Nicole is gone, you have a nice YOUNG temporary manager and the store is going to hell.

I have spoken to the DM 3 times about the failings of this store. ie: Dairy and shelves not being rotated so we have to return the Past the Date products. This included bread, shelf items like chicken broth, Milk, OJ, Cottage Cheese, and WHAT IS WORSE IS THE FISH MARKET I have had to return fish and shrimp 3 times since this change in management.

Every other time I shop you are out of at leaswt 7 or 8 items I have been buying for years. If it isn't replaced by SAFEWAY BRANDS WHICH I DO NOT LIKE AND I AM SURE I AM NOT ALONE, I get the story someone forgot to order the product.

Now this store is moving products like 6oz cans of Tomatoe Paste, Ready Made Frostings, Milk we regularly buy to the bottom shelf. I am a senior, in good health but trying to pick up 10 for $10 of tomatoe paste or trying to read labels on the frosting on the BOTTOM SHELF is horrible and disrespectful. All so CORPORATE CAN PROMOTE SAFEWAY PRODUCTS OR WHAT EVER SUITS THEM? That is the excuse I get from Steve the Manager, the staff, and the DM. REALLY????????

I am spending over $330 each time I shop and it is just two of us; what about the families who are surely spending more? Do we not deserve Safeway's Corporate respect!? We are the one spending our money in your store how about thinking about us for a change instead of your strategic BS.

Raleys is looking really good right now and it is 15 minutes away.

My prescriptions were transferred from the Giant Pharmacy (in Clinton on Woodyard Road; card #440003042513); not another Safeway. I still have one more medication that needs to be filled from Giant to Safeway, but I am concerned and having second thoughts about accuracy. Whatever account the associate looked up was not an account of mine (Ellen L. Delaney). While I am not surprised, I am disappointed. I still have a receipt that lists the name of Iris Duckworth on it with my Safeway card number--and I filled out a hand written application with correct information to get the Safeway card. Inconvenience is nothing compared to my feelings after reading the email message below; there would have been no need to transfer from one Safeway pharmacy to another. In addition, I don't believe I would have even gotten the promotion card. On another note, your email below if very impersonal and needs to have a little compassion added.

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding transferring prescriptions at your local Safeway store. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

Upon researching your account, we have determined prescriptions transferred from one Safeway to another do not count towards the promotion. the promotion is for prescriptions transferred from other pharmacy's only. Please know that your comments are important to us and will be directed to our Promotions and Advertising Department for further review.

On 8/30/12, Giant, 8899 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, Md closed down their store. They informed me that they were would transfer all their pharmacy customers to Rite Aid Pharmacy. I personally requested them to transfer my prescriptions to Safeway at 8785 Branch Ave, Clinton, Md because of my respect for Safeway (8 prescriptions; 3 of which are rather expensive, were transferred). A week later, I received a card in the mail "get to know our pharmacy" transfer a prescription get a $25 reward coupon (after my prescriptions were transferred. I am a frequent shopper at Safeway on Woodyard Rd and I am disappointed that I received this notice after my prescriptions were transferred good on my next grocery shopping trip of $50 or more. I am really disappointed and shocked.....
