Skype customer service is ny far te worst of any company ever!!!!

I don't have my username and no longer have access to my old email account as I now work for another college.

I can give any other piece if identifying info but they still will not help me. I've even offer to talk on the phone, I can verify social and I'm even emailing them from my new college account...the people at Skype are by FAR the dumbest on the planet.

Save yourself the trouble and time, Do Not Use this product.

Apparently, I hit the wrong button and the machine sent the unedited version of my complaint. Here is the edited version:

I had amazingly OBNOXIOUS customer service from a CS rep named Joyce A and a manager named Angelo D. There was some glitch with my credit card, my skype minutes had run out, and I needed a little more skype time so I could call my credit card company and get the charge approved. We're talking about a DOLLAR's worth of credit at most, and I've been a customer for YEARS and the charge was on a PLATINUM card!!!!! In addition, I'm in a section of Saudi Arabia where finding another phone and making a toll call would very very difficult and very very expensive. At first, Joyce refused to connect me to the manager, but after I insisted she did. I waited and waited. Finally the manager came on. He was even more obnoxious and refused to let me have a dollar's worth of skype time so I could send MONEY to HIS COMPANY!!!!!!! What an idiot!!!!!!! Then he lied to me and said I could NOT use a debit card to pay my bill. Fortunately, I had the good sense not to listen to or trust either one of them and tried paying my bill with the debit card. It worked like a charm. No problem. First, Angelo told me they didnt take debit cards from Saudi Arabia. Then I told him it was an American debit card and told me they also didn't take American debit cards from Saudi IPOS. BALONEY!!!!!!! It worked like a charm. If I were a manager, I would fire them both so fast it would make their heads spin!!!

Had REALLY OBNOXIOUS customer service support from a manager named Angelo D and a CS rep named Joyce A. There was a problem with my PLATINUM credit card, my time had expired, and needed the CS department to give me a DOLLAR credit so I call my bank from Saudi Arabia. I ask to speak to a manager, and at first the CS refuses,then eventually complies. Then I see why. This clown was useless. He repeatedly refused to give me a dollar credit so I call my credit card and give the company more of my money- which was the height of STUPIDITY. I asked if they could take debit card and after wasting my time for about five minutes, Angelo D said they could not. That was LIE. In fact I could and the transaction went through despite the best of Angelo and Joyce's efforts. If I were a manager, I would fire them both on the spot.

Disgusting and irritated with skype...cant even hold a call for more than a minute...if i make a call then i need to try it for more than 6-7 times..then it connect....after connecting i can only talk upto 1 minute...rest the call ends up directly...i have an unlimited calling to mobiles and landlines monthly...every month the credit automatically cuts down from my account, to which m not at all able to use it or call it for more than a minute....if u guys out there r truly working for skype then plz do the honours n help me out with this problem...if not then u all r jus useless fellows who r jus sitting n eating...not at all helping the customers....as this is the fifth time i m complaing for tge same problem and bo action have been taken yet....god knows what u guys r doing..!!!

Skype has non-existent customer service. They make it impossible to get a refund on the credit you have in your account if you want to redeem it. They are thieves because of how they set up their refund policy. You get it back only if it's unused within 15 days. Otherwise, they take it and it's impossible to get back. Then, when you don't use it, they tell you it's expiring. When asked for a refund, they tell you they encourage you to use it.

I am so disgusted. Impossible to get assistance from Skpe. I can't connect my web cam to my skype app. and because of this I cannot do a video job interview. I even subscribed and still can't get help. This is wrong.

i'm sick of skype taking money out of my bank!! i stopped the direct debit last year and for some reason they've started taking money out of my bank in my eye's skype is stealing money from me!! my bank had to block my card because skype try'd 28 times to steal money from me!! you cannot get in touch with them their crafty low life!! pissed off not the word??

I have been trying to reach your office for the last three days this time. I can't get to you from my email. Skype seems to work on my computer, but not on my ipad. they don't let me get in with my password. this has been an on word problem. I am seriously thinking of leaving this service.

Cancel my account. I am choosing to be frustrated because I cannot call and speak to a representative. After reaching out numerous times to cancel, I am still being charged for service. I want a refund. I will stop on my end as well.

They have been charging me for a phone number I never ordered. I have received a partial refund. Not good enough, I want every penny back. How did they get my Paypal acct. info. when I NEVER purchased anything from Skype. I'm contacting a lawyer friend. This is a perfect class action law suit, these people are criminals and I am relentless. I am shocked Microsoft is involved with such illegal activity. I will never give up.

i am having the same issue about currency rates and i was not given any help on your chat line i need a refund for rate changes .you have to let the customer know the rate is set for your country so they are not charged over seas rates.

Have spent considerable time trying to find someone to talk as unable to get help with problem of not being able to add all contacts - can add some but not all - am searching with email addresses that are valid and correct, when one contact was found would not transfer over to other side of screen so could not send an invitation to new contact. This is most frustrating and I feel that skype is so "technical" that they have forgotten that their customers are people not machines.

Made unnecessary unathorised auto-charge to my account even though I still had $5 in my credit balance. Search their site and google, but could not find any number or email address to complaint. Thus, cancelled my credit card since I could not delete my credit card details from their system.



Yesterday, was stupid to be taken in by their free unlimited world call trial and used my PayPal account to Pre-authorise a $1. Later found out that it is a monthly premium subscription. Quickly did a cancellation, but could not delete my PayPal account from their system. And when I open up my transaction history, was shocked to find repeated $1 pending deduction from my credit card last year.



My complaint to email address has failed. If Skype is an honest organisation, why no support service and contact details.



I wish to cancel my account, but unwilling to leave 25 cents to them. Anyone know their email address, pls let me know.

I HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH YOU AND SOMETIMES AGO PURCHASED SOME TIME FOR CALLS INTERNATIONALLY, BUT YOU WENT AHEAD AND ALSO CHARGE MY CARD FOR CALLS IN THE UNITED STATES. I HAVE TWO PHONE NUMBERS IN THE us WHERE I DON´T PAY ANY LONG DISTANCE. WHY IN THE WORLD DO I NEED SKYPE FOR THE USA?

I just had 4 charges of $10.00 each for a total of $40.00 charged to my credit card. I did not authorize these and I have never used my skype account. I don't even remember what my screen name is. I'm stopping payment on any further charges. Please let me know when you will refund my funds so I can unblock my card. I'm cancelling my skype account.

10/3/2012 I'm having the same problem. I went into my account to cancel the auto billing on PayPal. What happened then is that they billed me another $10.00 for "Credit" that I did not ask for. I love Skype and use it fairly often where I am now, but the total ABSENCE of customer service is APPALING. It causes terrible billing/payment issues, creates very bad sentiments about the company practices, and doesn't allow me to figure out what services would benefit me.

I live in US. I have used auto recharge with my credit card and because your headquarters are outside of USA, I am being charged for foreign transactions. VERY much want to change to paypal to avoid these charges, BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE ANYTHING BUT PUT IN ANOTHER credit card. I have now spent much too much time with this. There is NO HELP...NO SUPPORT. and I finally tried to recharge on my own, thinking that I could change the way I got charged there, but it automatically recharged....no confirmation...nothing...IS THIS THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS????

ALSO, I have been trying to call a cell phone in Senegal for the last 15minutes. Skype has disconnected me before the call has even gone through and they had just called me...I have already spent almost $10 trying to connect via SKYPE...I am sure I want to end my relationship with you, but I now have $16.90 in credit that I don't want and feel as if I am stuck. Please contact me with some answers here. Thank you
