Windstream Corporate Office Comments

The rudest rep ever, no compassion for their customer specially at the time of corona virus. This person name Jennifer acts like she owns windstream company. No promotion that can help you .. no help was given and offered. All she was concerned is yes they will not disconnect service but you will still will accrue bills and not even offer to not charge late charge. Heartless person ever!! No compassion. I will never recommend windstream ever !!Didn't even ask how are you and so on

I am about to cancel my land line through Windstream as they can not seem to fix the line. The line has been dead since May 30th, at which time I reported the problem. I was told that they have been unable to fix the line because the line is in a box in my neighbor's, behind our house's, back yard, and that the gate is locked in their yard. I am paying for the line; now why is my line in another person's yard? This is my problem why? Anyway, I have reported the problem 3 X. Now my husband's fax line is out and of course the same scenario exists. We have one Windstream Line left and that is my husbands office phone and when that goes out it costs us money. I have never seen such terrible service. I was told last week that the local Area Manager in Sugar Land would call me at my work to discuss this. I have heard nothing from anyone. What is a person to do?

Since Windstream took over Cavtel, I have had nothing but problems. On Friday, Oct. 23 at 4:31PM, while I was talking to a client, my phone went dead. This is the second time in about 3 months this has happened and the second time this month I have had problems with no service (Internet/DSL). The last time my phone service went dead it took 5 days to fix it. Five Days! I called customer service to report it. No-one could tell me when my phone service would be restored. I called again Sunday, same thing. I have had no communications via my email which I gave them. I went to Windstream Online this morning (Monday, Oct 26) and there is a message that it's not available at this time. SMDH I also emailed support services with no response. The chat person said they could not pull up my file because of where I live. I work from home. This is getting on my last nerve. Windstream service and customer service is terrible! I had Cavtel for about 10 years with few problems. When I had a problem with Cavtel phone service it was fixed within 24 hours. Not Windstream. WHEN IS MY PHONE SERVICE GOING TO BE RESTORED? I will be looking for another phone service because I can't go through this every other month. I am also a journalist and will be writing about Windstream's terrible service. My next step is to contact the president of this terrible company.

We have Windstream only because AT&T is not available. We do NOT like Windstream. This morning while on a call to our credit card company we were put on hold, but after 3 minutes Windstream cut the call off with a pre-recored message saying "Time allotted for this call has expired"! So, we had to make our call again to our credit card company. We have received this message in the past while we are on hold. It is not Windstreams' decision to end any call we make. It is OUR decision to end any call we make. I talked to a service rep at Windstream and she said she has had this complaint before!! I am going to put in a complaint with the FCC about the actions of Windstream in ending our calls before we want them ended.

False advertising, poor service. They should be run out of business, not to mention sued by their customers. I am getting close to dial-up speed when I'm supposed to be getting 12 mbps. They claim too many people are using the internet. Is this a joke? They also claim they need to replace a piece of equipment that is causing the issue. Are they going to replace it? Hell no. And there is no competition to find another provider.

I am a Windstream customer in rural Greene County Pa and have been without phone service for at least two weeks. I called them on 8/11 and was told they couldn't send anyone unil 8/20. It is now 8/25, and I still have no phone. A technician showed up on 8/22 and told me the problem was somewhere along a line that runs through a field on my land. That's the only information I have received. Isn't this a public utility subject to the PUC rules?

Customer service doesn't exist at Windstream. Recently an elderly close friend reported phone trouble on her land line. The service report was no dial tone, can't call or receive calls. The automated service was horrible to navigate. Finally reaching a live agent after being cutoff and waiting some ten minutes she was told the repair clerk gave her nine days until it would be fixed. Since when is an
out of service given such a lousy turn around time. I check the customer phone line myself at the NID and her trouble was in the cable. Not in the home. Now how can you expect a person who relies on the land line for emergency use expect to wait nine days for repair. Shame on windstream they even publish numbers for Ohio public utilities commission that is no longer in service. It's impossible to reach anyone. Try it your self Windstream.

Windstream is the most horrible internet service on the planet. I have been without internet for 5 and a half days. Finally someone showed up at my door. I had no idea he was coming. I called several times and no one had any idea what to do. I was told someone would call me Tuesday. No one called, but he showed up. Good thing I was home. The customer service and the tech people do not care if you have service or not. I was even asked if I wanted them to cut my service off.

Windstream is the worst company and the customer service is about 75% terrible. I have been hung up on and also lied to
I had my services turned off in January 2013 was promised that a tech would remove the telephone line from the pole to my home and here it is April 2013 and no one had come. I hope I never have to use this company ever again. They know that I am disable and cannot even hardly walk due to them being in my home when the service was started over 20 years ago. I would have never thought I would see the day you cannot get them to do what they promised to do. Again I hope I NEVER have to use this company again.

We live in Baird, TX and have had windstream for 3 weeks or 4 weeks now. We do not get the service they supposedly guarantee or even 65% of it. We get download speeds of less than 1Kb at times which is nonexistant service. If we want to use the internet from 1am to about 5 am we get good connections and few drops. Otherwise the other 18 or so hours when people actually use the internet we get less than dialup and have been dropped while online over 300 times in 3 weeks. This is recorded with them and they won't fix this. The problem is with them and they still sell internet knowing they can't and won't fix this issue in the Baird and Clyde, TX areas.

Windstream is the Worst company I've ever dealt with. They can not and refuse to provide service which they sell. I've been with Windstream for just over 2 years and for the last 20 months have had to call in(taking up to 3 hours each time)almost everyday just to get someone to re-hook my service up. They have had "Latency Outage" in my area. For the last 20 months. I'm paying for a service which is far below the national average in speed and I'm receiving 5% of what I'm paying for. seriously getting .34mb download. YES .34 !!! IF I'm getting service at all. There's always an excuse and always a -I'll get right on that- from this pathetic company. On top of all that they continue to sell service on average of 50 new customers a day just in my small area, knowing that they can not and will not provide service. They are horrid. Do not I repeat do not use Windstream. as soon as I have another option that does not cost 4 times more for .5 better speed I will. until then I will have an "latency outage" when it comes to paying this bill.
