Original Comment I was told about an incident at a Safeway store mid august 2014. When a cashier followed a customer around the store. She was acting for security? She than accused the shopper of shop lifting. The cashier asked to search the shoppers purse and found nothing? I was surprised that the employee was allowed to act in such a manner! And why did security not catch or stop either the shopper or the employee? Does the employee(cashier) have the right to discriminate, profile or humiliate customers? If not why does she still have her job? I've done some research and the employee is just a cashier. And she isn't security?? So what's being done??
