Original Comment All I can say is &quot;RUN FROM BANK OF AMERICA&quot;!!! If you have an account close it and go somewhere else! NEVER open an account with them, ever ever ever!<br /> My Grandparents passed away, in May. I notified bank in May, I have paperwork from BoA's (BoA's = Bank of insert a 3 letter word that starts with and A) stating this account should be able to be closed in mid July. I sent Letters of Administratation to the in August. I called them in September to see why a check had not been issued to the estate (for paying their bills) They said the letter of administration must be sent in by a branch. (This is the first time they bring up this fact) September 5th I go to branch and have official court letters saying to release the funds sent to Bank of A's. I contact them &quot;oh its being processed&quot; I contact again we cant process in one Grandparent name must be in both. Even though the state of Florida only required 1 name to go through probate. I get a Judge's order &quot;Demanding the release of funds&quot;. I have a Branch send copies of the original order to BoA's November 3rd. I call BoA's on 11/4 they state it takes up to 3 days to process. 11/6 I contact BoA's - they now state it takes up to 5 days to process, (They state that they will overnight the check to me since it has now taken 7 months since my Grandparents passed.) 11/7 I contact BoA's they say it has not been processed and again it takes 5 days. (NO UP TO). 11/10 I contact BoA's, Still not Issued (5th business day). 11/11 Veteran's Day, 11/12 I contact BoA's still not issued. (6 Business days 10 days since they received a Judges Orders to release the funds!) 11/13 they finally say, yes we have issued the check 7 business days. Oh they mailed it regular mail, not overnight like they told me on 11/6 and again on 11/7. Hope it doesnt get lost in the mail!<br /> We all at some point Die. If your money is at Bank of America (trust me) your family will have to struggle to gain access to it. I doubted my attorney when she stated that bank of America was hard to deal with on estates. She was SO right. Bank of America is the absolute worst!! The lied several times! I hope to NEVER set foot in a BoA's location again!
