Original Comment We stopped in the Days Inn at 1608 North US Hwy 1 in Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on May 9, 2015 after a long day of travel. The initial room we were given had no working lock on the door. After complaining, the second room we were given smelled so much like mold - that we decided to cancel our stay and go somewhere else. This all took place within about a half an hour of our arrival. The desk person told us we would have to speak to the manager to have our payment refunded (who, of course wasn't in. On 5/10/2015, we were given his card, and although we spoke to the general manager (Kishor Patel)by phone on 5/11/2015 and he said he would refund us, we still haven't seen a refund listed on our payment account. We would like our refund. We would not recommend this place to anyone. Days Inns used to be a whole lot nicer and more worthy. I realize they have franchised out - but this particular one seems to only be harming the reputation of the corporate image as a whole.
