I rented a van from your Palm Beach International airport location. The service was awful. I picked up the first van and the van was not driving properly. I took the van back and was instructed to stand in line. Only 2 people was at the check out desk. I waited well over 30 minutes to switch vehicles. A lady came in and by this time the line was very long about 8 people. I'm still waiting. The lady come in and I quess she was Blue Chip she went straight to the front of the line and was help immediately. I can't help if she was Blue Chip or what ever I had already been served and should have been taken care of immediately. The 2 clerks was very talkative to the people they were serving which made the process even longer. The manager came from the back office and saw the line was extremely long and did not take action for about 15 mins. When I approached the service desk the clerk informed me that i should not have had to wait and appoligized for the long delay in being served. <br /> <br /> The first van I rented I call back after I realized I had left some items in a bag it in the back of the van i had just purchased. I was informed I needed to go online and make a claim. I informed the lady I was traveling and was not near a computer. She told me that's the process and it's make no since to call back because no one will be able to assist me. Boy she was not lying. I have yet to speak to anyone about my lost items. I findly made a claim on line today. I returned the vehicle on 6/18/15 and when I got to the location (PBI) the gates was closed. I had to call the 800 number to find out how to return the vehicle and was instructed to go to the gate where you leave from when renting a vehicle. These instruction should have been given to you when you rented the vehicle. once I returned the van I told the clerk about the items that I had left in the first rented vehicle she told me it was nothing she can do becaused the person that handles that department is gone for today. She instructed me to call the customer service line tomorrow. I told her I just called PBI location she asked how did I get the number because no one was authorized to give it to me. After returning the vehicle I attempted to contact the person responsible at the PBI location unable to do so (no answer) the system just have you to start over. This is the worst experience I have ever had to deal with renting a vehicle from Thrifty. While I was waiting in the long line i was informed by a person that they had just cancelled their reservation and was going to another agency to rent a vehicle. Bad business results in lost customers.<br /> <br /> PS: I asked a customer service rep for the corporate office number she stated there was no number and when I told her that couldn't be she hung up the phone on me.
