I purchased CVS brand Hair Nourishing Supplement 60 tablets and found that the unit dose blister pack is impossible to open. I understand that the requirements are to make it child-resistant but the Consumer Product Safety Commission has established a test protocol to make certain children can't get to the product and adults can in an established period of time. Each tablet is encased in a rigid straight wall vinyl blister dome that makes it impossible for an adult to peel the backing off and push the tablet out. The only option an adult has is to use a knife or razor and slice the bottom of the dome to get the tablet out. Unfortunately, besides being dangerous I find that using this method removes part of the tablet. Was this specific package ever tested in accordance with the regulations?
