Hello, re restaurant on Airline Hwy in Laplace , La.: re: store manager who said her name is Ashley: re: Sunday at about 1:00 pm. <br /> Yesterday I got in the drive thru lane at this Wendy's; sat there for a long time before getting to the order speaker. I noticed the order menu board was set for breakfast menu. Waited at the speaker; nothing; it was turned off; I spoke into it; nothing; waited at the speaker about 5 minutes. Decided to drive up to the window after the 2 cars in front of me drive off from the window(a long time; ) another car behind me left . I got to the window. A teenage boy was there staring at the order computer and occasionally talking to someone near him. He never opened the window or spoke to me finally I waved to him; he looked at me, then talked to someone near him. A minute later he opened the window. I said I wanted to order and explained that the order speaker seemed to be broken . He said &quot;you cannot order at the window&quot;. I asked him why not as the speaker seemed to be broken. He said his mouthpiece/headset was broken, which was not true as he had taken other orders before me. He said ok go ahead. I started to give him my order and he was staring at the screen not entering anything as someone was telling him not to do the order. He said&quot;my manager told me you cannot place an order at the window and will have to get back in line and order&quot; while there were about 10 cars behind me. I told him I would not get back in line and lose my place after already being in line for about 30 minutes, and I need to speak to the manager. He came back and said I cannot speak to the manager as she is working the grill and there are only 3 people here. I said I need to speak with her. Minutes later she came and repeated what was said above. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. &quot;You cannot order at the window&quot; &quot;the speaker is broken &quot; (not true). &quot;You will have to get back in line&quot; . No apologies for the delays, problems; no help at all; just rude and belligerent; lying and telling the young untrained teen to lie. <br /> So it is obvious that he did not know how to take orders at the speaker and handle the cars at the window getting their food and paying, at the same time. So he turned his headset off/speaker off while handling the window. I saw several cars drive off. They couldn't even change the menu board for ordering. This manager is the worst I have ever encountered at a fast food place. If you cannot get workers and good managers I suggest you close and recoup. The inside is not open. This store has been struggling for a year. I suggest you close it! I will not be going to Wendy's again. This ordeal took me 45 minutes and I ended up having to leave because they closed the window and walked off. Horrible!
