Original Comment I'm sad, angry and disappointed,,, mostly disappointed.<br /> I've been a member of AAA for over 40 years. When my daughters started going out with their friends in cars I got them a AAA Card and a Credit card. I used AAA rarely, but when I did the service was adequate and I was glad I had the service.<br /> <br /> A couple of months ago my wife and I were stranded by AAA on the side of the road in west Texas. They dirndl;t take a long time to come, they didn't offer poor service, they weren't rude on the phone,,, they just left me with no phone call, no explanation, not evan &quot;I'm sorry&quot;. The call taker said they'd be there in 1.5 hours. After 2 hours I called, and she informed me that they couldn't find anyone to come. Thats it --- nobody. We were left on the side of the road with no help.<br /> <br /> When I got home I called to complain. I spoke to a &quot;supervisor: who apologized and asked me if there was anything he could do. I said yes there is, I'd like a letter of apology (not a form letter but from a human being) and 3 years premiums waived. He said he'd &quot;get back to me&quot;. Guess what,,, he left me again standing on the side of the road (in a figurative sense) because I haven't heard a thing.<br /> <br /> Don't worry, I found excellent roadside service from my insurance company USAA. BTW, if any of you are veterans, or the family of a veteran you are eligible to join. Their rates are far less than AAA and their road side service is highly rated.<br /> <br /> So I've canceled my membership after over 40 years, and canceled the membership of my kids AND their kids. My message to AAA,,, I'm sad but I can live with my decision. After 40+ years I can say to AAA &quot;FU&quot;!
