Recently filed a claim for auto damage and procured a rental car. My 30 day rental runs out on March 11. Due to supply chain issues my car will not be ready until March 18. I requested a week extension which amounts to approximately $150. I was refused. Please keep in mind that we have been Allstate customers for 38 years. In that time period we have had full coverage on several boats, at least 12+ vehicles and our home. According to my calculations, we have paid approximately $250,000 in premiums and yet Allstate will not spring for $150. I currently have that much money in my wallet but it has become the principle of the thing. My auto policy is up for renewal on April 1 but I can assure you that it will not be with Allstate. Home owner's insurance is up for renewal October 28 and again I can assure you that it will not be with Allstate. I have been frustrated and dismayed with Allstate's customer service and will take my business elsewhere. I am currently paying $8000 a year in auto insurance and $1500 a year in home owners insurance. I feel sure that other companies will be delighted to offer me the coverage that I need.
