Original Comment A friend of mine got me a Sprint phone about 5 years ago to help me since I'm disabled with Epilepsy. I was on a 2 year contract. After that 2 year contract was over I was given that 2 hundred back and I kept that same phone for one more year, that is because it was still in good shape. I've always been paying in the $50's. So I've had that 450 anytime minutes in one month with free minutes after 5:00 on Fridays till Monday morning (7:00 am). Only one time did I go over and the price doubled. That 3rd year the reason I had to get another phone was because I had it and was using it during a "complex partial" seizure (one of those that you black out and you look like you are day dreaming and people think you are ignoring them and you don't care, if you are standing you can even fall, if you are holding something they have to remove it from your hands, even when eating). I had that phone and I twisted it and ruined it. So I went to the nearest Sprint here in Edinburg and I saw you had the Sprint "Sanyo" phones that were free so I signed a two year contract again. I told them to BLOCK Texting because with this disability I can't learn how to do that and I get charged extra for even opening them even if the sender is a Sprint, You know Sprint to Sprint is free but not when it comes to Texting. And since I got this new phone I listen to how many minutes I have and I hear this new charge for "Picture Messaging"!!! I have a friend that calls me just about everyday and he has a Sprint phone, he doesn't Text me. Every month I have 1-3 charges for Picture Messages and I know it involves this friend when he just calls me, he doesn't e-mail photos. I finally tested this once and I took some photo's and I learned how to send them to friends in my directory and I heard those listed, I did that a few months ago and that I can understand getting charged for but not when a Sprint to Sprint is only calling me on the phone. As I say I am disabled, I have had Seizures for 38 years, I'm about to turn 40 in Sept. The only money I receive is SSI. I'm using that money to pay this bill. You know they gave free phones to people like me this last year. I ignored that. I volunteer in a hospital and I teach Jr. volunteers (those going to college to be nurses/dr's), so I'm doing all I can to watch carefully how I use those 450 free minutes. I haven't asked for a discount. Please respect your customers even those that have always paid on time. And never late. Thank You.
