Since we went on vacation in May 2014, our U-verse service has been terrible. We experience frequent pixilation and even more frequent loss of TV signal messages (with loss of Internet at the same time). We have called U-Verse tech support numerous times. We generally get the message that there is some sort of a problem external to the house so we have to wait for the service people who handle external issues. The last team decided that there was a problem with the (buried) wire connecting the house wiring to the junction box located in my neighbor's back yard. They strung a wire on top of the ground, hooked it up, left me a call-back number, and left. As soon as they drove away, we started to lose TV signal exactly as before. I called the telephone number the tech had given me and left a message. Several days have passed and I have had no reply. The people who came to bury the U-verse wire buried the wire satisfactorily, but in the process cut one of my sprinkler valve wires and caused me a lot of work to repair the connection between the sprinkler timer and the water valve solenoid. I suspect that there is a significant problem with the junction box and rather than correct the actual problem, the tech's keep applying Band-Aid fixes that don't work. The last time my wife called, she got somebody on the telephone whose accent was so strong that she could not understand him. She gave me the telephone and I could barely understand him either. Use of overseas call centers is something new and VERY BAD for AT&T. Up to this point in our many years with AT&T we could at least communicate with the operators who answered. Not so any more. Shame on you AT&T!! If it weren't such a pain to change everything over, I would have bailed on AT&T a long time ago.
