On 08/25/2014, I rented a car from your Jackson Hole, Wy. Location. A quote, "courtesy van" arrived at the airport to transport me and my husband to their office. The driver was extremely reckless, he almost hit a car in front of him, if I didn't grab the seat, I would have been thrown into the van's floor. The driver, almost hit a man on a bicycle and constantly tailgate ever car he got behind, he even pulled out in front of another car and the people had to move lanes to keep him from hitting them. When we finally made it to the Thrifty Office, the driver told us,"office is over there", and pointed to a little building. We drug our four suitcases over to the office, (through the gravel parking lot), and a man yelled through a sliding window to come in. When we got inside the office, the man who so graciously yelled at us stood behind the counter with a dirty sweatshirt and a baseball cap, (the cap was turned around backwards), and asked what did we need? I provided my name and he said that my reservation had not been paid for and I explained to him that I would check with my travel agent because I thought that it had been covered. The man then told me that I needed insurance coverage and I explained to him that I had it through my travel agent. His reply was, (well, that's between you two, if something happens you can deal with them). When we finally made the payment, my husband was given a paper to sign and he handed him a set of keys. I had to ask what kind of car we were getting. He told my husband, it's a KIA Optimum, press the key and you can find it. We left the office and drug our luggage back through the gravel parking lot, hitting the key until we found it. At no time, was we provided any details of our rental agreement, we was not given any information on our car nor was offered any assistance if a problem occurred. I am frequent traveler and between the dangerous van driver and the rude, unprofessional office worker, I will never use Thrifty Car Rental again. If you are looking for a professional, courteous, safety minded car rental company, don't use Thrifty.
