11/12 I have a life threatening disease and had a surgery where I can't leave the home for a week. My modem just shuts down and I am without any phone or internet for hours at a time. I finally got on the chat and was cut off from there. The rep then cancelled the appt. he made for me for 11/15. They can not just drop off a modem without making a repair report. I told them I can not be without a phone as it could cost me my life in an emergency. So I contacted them again and was told I had the appt. for this Sat. and they would expedite it if they had an opening. I contacted them again today 11/13 to ask a ? and was told there is no appt. So now they can't bring me a modem until Mon. the 17th. HELLO, I could have an attack anytime and be dead- can't wait 5 days. I was just told "Sorry". After being with a company for over 25 years and notifying them you have a life threatening illness, you would think someone could drop a modem off as I can hook it up. I had to hook the first one up when it was mailed to me. No emergency appts. or drop offs....I can't believe this is the way to treat loyal customers. If I die you won't get a penny more. You can't shut off power to a house with someone like me but you can leave them without any outside contact. I was also told I could go out and buy a modem or come pick up (3 min. one way) when I said I couldn't leave home or get myself a cell phone. Poor service. I was told they don't have enough repair techs--are working 6 days for 12 - 13 hours. So they know they don't have enough and there are emergencies...I'd say they don't care.
