I have been dealing with the Retention Dept.since the middle of November. Salesperson Bryant Shaffer told me I had 30 days to try uverse. I canceled two weeks in & I have had nothing but trouble with talking to the above department. One person doesn't know what the other is doing. To get my old phone number back, Bryant said to call him on Dec.2 at 10:00am & he assured me that he would answer. Oh , before that when I told him I was canceling he told me I would owe nothing. Now on Dec.2nd I tried for 30 minutes & no answer. Called Rent.Ctr again & told them I was canceling & would like for someone to come & pick up their equipment. I explained I was 79 yrs old & didn,t know how to disconnect equipment, so they told me they would send someone to disconnect the equipment. No one came. Called again, & was told they would send a box to put equipment. Today is 12/13/14 & still no box. Finally I carried it to UPS. During the conversations with the Rent.dept I was told I would not owe anything & now here I get a bill. Because of all the phone calls I feel I don't owe anything. This has been extremely stressful for a lady of my age. Also, I didn't get my phone number back. And when my son went to replace a furnace filter AT&T left the box that cover the wires off & it is dangling from the wires.
