My wife and I were returning home from a trip to Texas when we decided to stop for the night. we checked the internet for recommendations and the Days Inn in Cameron, MS was given 5 stars so we jumped at it. Needless to say the room (108) given to us was not up to standards. the beds were not made and it looked like the maid was interrupted and never came back to finish the room. the desk clerk was very understanding and gave us a 2nd room (105) across the hall. everything looked clean except the carpet was not vacumned (a screw on the floor along with food particles). the rug was torn by the heating/cooling unit so we looked further and found that by pulling up on the carpet we were looking into the crawl space joists under the floor. Luckily no rodents or bugs! I guess for $72 you get what you pay for and the continental breakfast was pretty bland when it came to choices. will I stay at a Days Inn in the future? probably not unless I'm forced to.
