Original Comment Wish I had read all these comments soon. NEVER NEVER NEVER rent from Thrifty Car rental. I picked up my car at Ohare airport where there shuttled me to an offsite location so when I arrived, not of the quoted prices were correct. At this point I was stuck needing a car. Left with the overpriced old and not well taken care of Corolla (which they charged me $30/day instead of the 21.94/day rate promised), I went over to Enterprise who gladly helped me out of this disaster. For 4 days with Thrifty they were going to charge me $373....I got a better, newer, larger SUV even with Enterprise all for just $183 for the total time. Back to Thrifty with the junk car I go.....LESS than a 24 hour rental, they charged me $136 for the 1 day with the Corolla, ya know, the 21.94/day rental. They charged me $25 to bring the car back early, obviously because they are afraid they can't re-rent it and then charged me over $60 in taxes.....so they claim. Are you kidding me?????? When arguing with them, the girl at customer service has no supervisor...go figure! Horrible Horrible...oh and another guy returning his car too said he was going to get an attorney because they also screwed him over as well. What a rip off. We should all get together and file a major suit against this company!
