On Feb. 1, 2015 around 9:30am we were coming home from Iowa City, IA in a snow storm and made it as far as Willimsberg, IA and found a Days Inn on Google and made our way there. Very Windy and snowing could not see anything. When we arrived the drive was not cleared very good but we overlooked that. We were traveling my son, his wife and there to little boys 3 yrs and 11 mos.old. We needed 2 rooms, so when the manager came of the laundry room area belching and was dressed in pajamia pants, sleevless t-shirt says so sorry about that. During our check-in his wife came out to help she was not dressed the best either but she was nice. He called to get the snow plow guy to come out plow again and used the "F" word in front of us. (was a bit much for me) When we got to our rooms the one room looked clear not the most up-to-date but clean. Our room however had one clear bed and one bed that looked like someone had just gotten out of it showered and left. Dirty towels rolled up on the counter by the bathroom. I was going to over look that because we just needed one bed until I deciede to take a shower and had no towels. I went to the office and here comes the manager again in the same clothes (this is around 4:00 pm by now) and he says how can I help you? I said I needed some clean towels and then I told him about the bed and he said are you sure? I said yes I was sure. He called his housekeepers down and made me tell them the bed had not been changed from the last person. He said go look, so myself and the 2 housekeepers went to my room and one said it looked like this when you came in and I said yes and I have no clean towels. The were pretty nice about it and said they would take care of it right away. I went to my sons room to wait. She came over and told me it was all cleaned and new towels were put in. She also told me that it was "NOT" them that had left it uncleaned because they just stated two weeks ago and had never cleaned that side of the hotel since they started. She said because it was the slow season they only used the front part of the hotel. Well, the hotel filled up pretty good because of the storm. Also we had to go move our cars because the plow people had come back to do the lot again. The rooms themselves were old and out dated. Not very happy with our stay. We didn't even stay for breakfast because that area didn't look very clean either. I have never stayed in a place where the manager and his family live at the hotel. Where you can see into their rooms. I could see their kitchen and bedroom/office. I came down to check out the eating area the night before and could hear the lady yelling at her children not good in my book either. I would never stay at that Days Inn again or let anyone else stay there. It should be closed or under new management. Come see for yourself corporate
