Original Comment We purchased a Husqvarna LGT24K54 lawn tractor in June 2011. We were mowing with it last week when we heard a pop and it stopped - would not go forward or backward. The dealer picked it up - called the same day and informed us that the rear axle broke - the transmission would have to be replaced and the repair total would be around $1350.00. Now, this is a 4 year old tractor with approximately 200 hours on it that we paid $$2300.00 that is pretty much junk. I called the warranty phone number and was told it is out of warranty and they would not do anything. I asked for another phone number which is the corporate headquarters in North Carolina and was told the same thing. They would not even come out to look at it to see if it was a defect. We are very dissapointed in Husqvarna - we did so much research before we purchased and thought that we made a good choice. Of course, we will not purchase any Husqvarna products in the future. We are now in the market for a new lawn tractor which is not a purchase that we thought that we would have to make so soon.
