On 2/5-2/7/16..six of us stayed at the Days Inn in Albany, GA.422 W. Oglethorpe Blvd. 31701. I'm not sure I can go into all the things that were unacceptable about the rooms. I'd rather give a good report but unfortunately none of us can. The odor was the first thing we ran into when entering the room. Thankfully there was a young lady cleaning the next room who sprayed it down for us. Not purposely looking we found so many discrepancies with the room, I began to take pictures (which I have yet to find an email to send to). Mold in room, restroom ceiling, base boards, room walls and baseboards, telephone in one room that didn't work and not one at all in other room, multiple plugs attachments protruding from wall and baseboard panels coming apart from wall. Coffee pot in one room that leaked when you fill with water. Coffee pot in another room was filthy dirty with a smell where water is to be filled. Water like rings on bed sheet which we wont speculate about. Water doesn't remain on sheets like this. Spider webs in corner of door with dirty black marks in several areas of walls and doors. Carpet stained and seems to have not been vacuumed in days on side of bed next to wall. I have the pictures to prove it all. In one room, water was leaking from bathtub when taking shower. Had to place towels next to tub where the paint was peeling inside. It was really unfair to the customers. We had to spray everything down with Lysol and be very careful. We determined when we left here, we would be very skeptical about staying in Days Inn again. Especially after reading complaints about the Days Inn from other commenters. It is true, you get what you pay for in many instances. On top of everything else, there was a game going at the University which brought in quite a number of young people who drank and partied all night. There were people walking around the hotel constantly with a lot of noise. We remained there only because we had a tight schedule because of a family funeral and knew we would be leaving as soon as possible. When we did try and address a few things, we felt as if we were not heard and we were the problem. To us, it seemed as if this hotel needed to be torn down and refurbished because of the many problems they had. It seems to be a hotel that no one is responsible for.. Family members in the Albany area who found out we were here regretted that we were not warned of this hotel.
