Original Comment On December 27, 2019 I ordered a washer, dryer and wall oven for my new home in Lakeland. I didn't receive delivery of said items until Jan. 8, 2020. Although it was late in the day, around 7pm or so, washer & dryer were hooked up for me so that I could begin using them at my leisure. I was told to contact the Home Deport store #6324 in S. Lakeland and request that my wall oven be installed. I called them on three occasions trying to get someone out here to install my oven. Finally, on the fourth phone call I was told that they do not install (hard wire) appliances but they do have contractors that they use for that purpose. I asked if they could either contact him or give me the information so I could contact them. They wouldn't. I contacted an appliance repairman to install it for me, but upon opening the crate, we discovered it was too large to fit in my existing space. I again called the local Home Depot #6324 to ask them if I could return the new oven still in original crate, hasn't been touched other than to look inside crate. I need a smaller size and wanted to exchange this one for a smaller one of the same brand. I was told that the wall oven( Frigidaire 30 in Electric Wall Oven Self-Cleaning in Black) was a special order item and could not be returned. Now when I ordered this item online, it stated that it was in stock, so my question is, why is it considered "special order". I just want to exchange it for a smaller wall oven or have the charged taken off my Home Depot Charge Card. My Home Depot Order # W944600284 I can't imagine why the store can't accept this return, it is brand new in original crate. I am a widow who moved back to Lakeland and bought a home to be close to family after losing my husband. I just want a wall oven to replace existing one that can't be repaired.
