I bought chainsaw from Cal True Value in Menifee Ca and the service guy ran me over to the registration touch screen and rushed me through and didn't show me any of the products that are used with it that they sell and walk me back over to the sales counter and tip the saw on its side and showed me the fuel and oil lids and how they open. I asked if it took regular gas and 50 to 1 mix and the other was chain oil. He said yes and sold me the saw for $600 and took me outside we're he flooded the saw and showed me the wrong way to put my foot to hold saw. He had his foot over handle and held it down with his heel which the Stihl video shows that you use your toe in handle to hold down. Well he started it and I took it to use it. We have a small saw that uses regular gas and 50 to 1 mix. So after the first tank was used we put the same regular gas mix that I asked him if it was ok and the motor seized. From my perspective it is a factory defect or something. So I take it back at noon and they took it and said they would call me 30-60 minutes if I wanted to leave it. I said ok . Before it seized I looked online at stihl and found the proper tools to clean it which they never mentioned I would need. So I walked over and bought the kit for if and the spray cleaner for it and left . It was 3 1/2 hours later when I called and talked to the guy who rushed me through everything and he said it was seized from wrong fuel. So I asked it speak to manager and still no manager. They told me he would call me before they close at 5:30. Well after 5pm I called and explained how I looked in the Manuel and it says that you have to use mid grade gas with it or it can get to hot and seize. The manager tried to tell me that I can't buy mid grade gas from a pump and I said with buy our fuel from SoCo Fleet stations and I could hit midgrade gas. Then I explained how the service guy rushed me through and told me the regular gas and 50 to 1 is ok which contradicts the Manuel and he said well I wasn't there so I don't know but he was there when the service guy showed me the wrong way to start it. The manager then said he has over a thousand items to order and put me off till tomorrow. I'm not satisfied with that dealership's knowledge or professionalism that stihl stands behind in there products. I paid $600 for a chainsaw and was told the wrong gas to use and shown the wrong way to start it. Please can I get some help?
