Goodwill Store #5566 Store Manager Karen Harris at 05:09 pm refused to follow Corporate rules by doing the following: a vintage folding cane back rocking chair was on the floor with 1/2 the tag; we requested the paperwork be checked and customers paged and she refused to verify if the chair had been sold. We had been in the store with the chair in the cart for over 45 minutes and already asked the 3 customers in the store if this was their chair or if they have the tag. They didn't. She refused to check the sold paperwork or ask the staff after telling us she tagged the furniture this morning since the floors were stripped last night and verified all furniture was tagged this morning. She would not check the price or paperwork stating they've sold furniture after initially selling furniture because your policy was not followed. This chair, I have the pictures of the tag and the chair was taken off the floor after the manager said it would not be sold but whoever had the tag can come Back in the store and get it tonight. But if they try to buy it tomorrow they are supposed to void the tag and hold the chair for 3 days before Retagging For sale on Sunday which I pointed out that would be Saturday. Anyway it is obvious the managers (including Jeff or James) who was sitting in the office watching and had the guy come get the chair to put it in the office for them. I shop GOODWILLS all over Georgia and the policies are usually universal. This is a clear sign of managers keeping something for themselves as other employees have told us this is the practice when they want something. The blatant disregard to refuse service and dismiss this customers request for service is absolutely unacceptable. It's unacceptable that you don't have and can't check the paperwork because you have repeatedly sold customers merchandise for pickup per Karen's words. Yet you are full staff today and I saw the employees providing service by removing bought items. The chair she took was vintage but not marked as she verbally stated they both were the same. I want to know when the chair was sold and if not as I know it wasn't I want the chair.
