Original Comment To Whom It May Concern: <br /> <br /> My parents purchased brand new Acura TL in 2006. For the most part it has been a reliable car, however, for the last 2 years it has died on random occasions. Initially, the car would die but immediately turn back on so nothing much was thought about it. More recently, the car died while on the freeway and did not turn back on. I had it towed to the family mechanics house and after few days he told me it wasn't an issue that he could fix. The car is now with the dealer and they have informed me that the car has to have the entire computer replaced to the tune of $1200. This is a relatively new car and I do understand how faulty computer could have resulted from any actions on my part. I have taken excellent care of my car.
