Building vehicles and brand name like Porsche is a life time effort. Must say Porsche has achieved it all and that is why I bought the Porsche Cayenne that I have.

I plan to sell it in the coming year and will never buy a Porsche product. It is not because of the machine (which is great to drive) but because of the unethical pactises of all the Sales and after sales personnel at Porsche India.

When I first called Porsche New Delhi office from Dehra Dun I was told by Nitin the sales person that the price of the basic model Cayenne is Rs.65.00 Lacs.and delivery time 4 months by depositing Rs.10.00 Lacs as advance by bank transfer. As I did not wanted to wait for 4 months he offered me a Cayenne which was booked by another customer with added features priced at Rs.70.21 lacs the delivery of which in 30 days. I immediately transferred the advance of Rs.10.00 Lacs and after 25 days Nitin called and asked me to send the entire balance payment for delivery of the Cayenne, which I did. Till here everything went well.

I was not given delivery for another 2 months giving me one excuse after another. Ultimately I got the delivery and took the vehicle to Pandit & Company in Okhla Industrial area for fitting of floor mats. He on seeing the vehicle pointed out that the vehicle was repainted on the left side the colour of which didnot match the original paint. I complained to Porsche office but to no avail. I got the vehicle painted.

After doing 10,000 kilometers I sent the car for the first service and to my shock I was charged Rs. invoice attached. I contacted my company offices in DubaI, Berlin and Atlanta and got the rates of the parts that were changed in the first service. Prices from Porsche Atlanta were the cheapest (invoice attached) so I bought 2 sets of change. Now I sent the vehicle for 2nd service after completing 20,000 kilometers to Porsche Gurgaon where they refused to use the parts that we had got from Porsche Atlanta saying that the company does not allow it and put parts from their own stock and charged Rs.38,000.00 (bill attached).

How can you do this ? Ripping off your customers. I am too a manufacturer with many factories in India and abroad and do not let my service centers do this kind of practise.

I have now decided to send my vehicle to a private garage for future services and repair and have sent a circular to all my family members, friends and company officials not to buy Porsche products.

I am shocked to discover that a company like Porsche can do this.

I plan to post this on various sites on the internet with proofs.

Sudhir K.
