Original Comment Don't EVER purchase a Tracfone!!!! I am a customer in good standing, my end service date is not until September but on August 24th my phone suddenly, out of the blue, stopped working - calls/texts in/out would not go through. Contacted customer service August 25th and was told my phone number had been transferred to another Tracfone!?!??!? Was also informed that I was the one who authorized the transfer!?!?!? After hours on the phone with them they successfully retrieved my phone number but my hundreds of minutes were lost. Either my personal information was hacked from their servers or they are blatantly stealing consumer's money. Either way I would NEVER, EVER, EVER recommend Tracfone to anyone. They have done nothing to remedy this issue. Their customer service is nonexistent and I have just filed a BBB report against them.
