I see that I am not the only disgruntled customer that is unhappy with Days Inn. My horror story occurred on August 29, 2014, at the Days Inn in Sharonville, OH. I booked my room through Priceline.com, after reading what I thought were decent reviews, but I was wrong. When I arrived at this hotel, which really is a motel, I was disappointed. The hotel was way back off the street. The property looked horrible. The lobby was hot as a sauna and smelled like spoiled food. The hotel website states that all rooms includes a mini fridge and mini microwave. My room had neither. When I called the front desk, the manager said I had a basic room and that he would check to see if he had a room available with a mini fridge and microwave. This was unacceptable, so I called Priceline.com. At this point, I wanted a refund. Priceline advised they couldn't give me a refund, but they would call the front desk to see if the manager would give me a refund. Of course they didn't. The manager moved me to room #2, which had the fridge/microwave, but the room also had dead crickets and a live cricket that was chirping very loudly. Within 1 hour, the a/c stopped, which was a big problem because it was a sauna in my room. Once again, called the front desk and the manager and he sent maintenance to my room. The maintenance guy was honest enough to say that the a/c motor was shot. He called the manager and told him to move me to another room. I was then moved to room #3. This room was next door to room #2. This room had dry food on the dining table and inside the microwave. The outside caulking of the fridge had mold on the top. The bathroom sink and behind the toilet was filthy. None of the rooms had a iron/ironing board. When I went to the front desk inquire about this, the manager gave me an iron and a ironing board that stands on a table top. By the time I got to room #3, I was exhausted and decided to clean my room and try to rest. This place has smelly hallways, one ice machine didn't work and ceiling tiles were loose with wires exposed. I would also like to report that I have several red bumps on my arms and legs, which means my bed had bed bugs. In all my years of staying in hotels, I have NEVER had an experience like this! I want a full refund of $75.41. I will be sending letters and pictures of my nasty room, ceiling tiles and the bumps on my arms and legs to Days Inn Corporate, Priceline.com and The Better Business Bureau by the end of this week.
