Original Comment All I can say is what a disaster!! We had a room booked at the Wilmington Days Inn on 10/10. We arrive that night around 9:30 to check in(you better get there by 10:00 or the lobby shuts down). Me and my daughter get to our room and its dirty with a stale sort of smell. Its a motel so door opens to the public(didn't know that when booking) which was another problem. Our door frame looked like the cops or someone had kicked it in at one point recently. Me and my friend who had a room next to us had to fix the lock enough so we could at least lock the door. Just ridiculous. The problem was it was late, raining and all rooms at the surrounding hotels were booked. Watched the door all night and in the morning was able to look out the holes in the drapes to see the rain still coming down. Needless to say we left that morning instead of completing the two nights we booked. I filed a complaint and showed the maintenance guy the picture i took of the door lock and he couldn't believe his guys left it like that. Overall horrible experience and will not stay at another nor recommend one. The manager said he would give me a 25% discount. Thats an insult for the condition of this place.
