Original Comment I bought my acer laptop from walmart 04\10\2014,,,, a 2012 model,,, it is now october 2014 and the dvd player is not working properly,,, I called acer and they said my warranty is expired,,, how can a 1 year warranty expire in 6 months,,, it cant,, but acer says it is because of the manufacture date of 2012,,, yet according to their own words written in their warranty paperwork it is a 1 year warranty between the original purchaser,, me and the manufacturer,,, acer,,, not acers manufacture date....This company will find a way not to stand behind their inferior product,,, therefore I am not bound to the arbitration agreement and intend to get a lawyer....wake up people it is not one year after the manufacture date when the product is not purchused brand new from a store 2 year later,,,, warranties start from the purchase date,,,, but thank you for the money I will be getting from suing u guys and if I work hard enough im sure this can go class action,,, chaching payday,,,,
