I have had AAA since 1973 with a very few times that I have had to call for service (dead battery) but this last time I can say the service (????) stinks.
At 8AM I found I had a dead battery and called AAA.
I awaited over 7 minutes for someone to answer the phone.
They advised someone would be here within 1 hour and they did arrive in 45 minutes. The truck had AAA and Battery painted all over it. The driver put what looked to be a booster and could not get the car to turn over, He told me the battery was too dead and I would have to have it towed to have the battery charged.
He told me I had to call back (he could not) to arrange for a tow.
Again the waited several minutes for someone to answer the phone. When I explained the problem I was PUT ON HOLD 4 TIMES and each time it was several minutes; - so that 45 minutes later I was told a tow truck would be at my house by Noon.
I called at 12:15 and was told truck would arrive by 12:30. This is the 2nd time in a year the tow service did not arrive on time. The previous time they were 1;45 minutes late. I suggest you change your tow company.
When the tow did not arrive by 12:30; - by co-incidence the painter next door asked me to move my car and I told him it had a dead battery. He brought his truck into my driveway and put booster cables from his truck to my car. It started immediately.
I HAVE NOW WAITED FOR AAA TO START MY CAR FOR 4 1/2 HOURS AND A PAINTER STARTED IT IN 5 MINUTES.
Do you call this service?
Kindly advise the name of a Competitor that actually provides car problem service.
