I was a member at the planet fitness in the Lakewood California area. I cancelled my membership in October when I was hit with a bill for annual fee. I paid the annual and the monthly and told them I was done with this gym. I haven't gone back since. The staff was very unprofessional and rude. This morning three months later i open my mail and find a bill for 59.98, when I call to ask why they were billing me seeing as I am no longer a member an they staff worker said that I shouldn't have cancelled my services. I asked for the supervisor/manager the staff member said there was no manager on site right now. So I asked for the person in charge and he connected me to the assistant manager who was very rude and refused to give me managers name or the number in which I could contact this person. This company seems to be headed down the wrong path and if they don't train their staff to be a lot more professional and courteous to its customer I can see they are headed for trouble. This is really unfortunate, because it's a problem that can be solved with better trained employees
