Original Comment Booked two-room suite at Days Inn Santa Cruz, CA. Noticed powerful chemical smell at once. Became dizzy within 30 minutes. Asked for refund so that we could leave. Owner refused refund and offered smaller room at same price. Said we could "Take it or leave it, but no money back." Found out original room was primary "pet room" and previous pet had soiled room extensively. For this we were charged $250. Management was surly and arrogant. Will never stay at DI&S again if we were paid to do so. Went to Hampton Inn where sign at desk said: "If you're not happy, you don't pay." They know how to make us happy.
