Wow how is this company still in business with such poor social capital? I feel as though there should be a social community warning people not to rent from this company. In the past 11 days I have been trying to retrieve a set of keys I forgot in a rental and all that I've had to go through has been hell. They were ever so bright to let another renter drive the car to another city, 2 hours away from me. I called the very moment I realized I didn't have the keys, left a message and received a reference number for the item only to find out that number given to me through their system was not valid after I had spoken to a rep shortly before who informed me that the lost and found would be calling me immediately to render my item. First, the car clearly was never cleaned from the date of rental and when I complained to the rep Steven at the Hobby Airport location, he simply dismissed me and said "all of our cars are cleaned and smoke free", that was not the case, I found old renter receipts, and the car smelled so much like someone had just lit a cigarette. I should have refused to rent the car, but after waiting an hour and half just to confirm my reservation, I just wanted to get to what I needed to do. But I'm definitely still regretting it today due to the experience I've had after returning the car and asking them to check for my lost items which feels too similar to Steven's dismissal. The simply fact that not one rep could let me know if the car was still on the lot or rented until wednesday (April 8th), after calling since Monday morning due to easter Sunday closing of their office to get them to look for the item, I was dumbfounded by how incompetent their staff and system was. After this, a rep told me the car would be returned Friday and that I would receive a call when it was in because a hold had been put on the vehicle to not rent out, well I NEVER got that call, so I called them again first thing Thursday morning to speak to the manager Roshannell Shepherd, who confirmed with me that morning that the car was still on hold and the current renter was contacted, but they hadn't heard back from them. But again to expect a call on Friday when the car was returned. Friday came, no call, so I called again for her to tell me, "oh the vehicle is in San Antonio". I could not believe the level of disregard in her tone, mind you these are keys to my personal residence and not only did she not offer a way to solve this matter from their end since I just spent over 300 on their crap of a rental, she simply offered me the number to the manger at the San Antonio office by the name of Donald Jenkins and after I speaking to him, was told by him that he would immediately search for the vehicle and get back to me, since then, I have yet to hear back. I've called and left multiple messages on his voicemail, and I'm still waiting to hear from him, today is Weds, spoke to him friday April 10th. So for everyone who want this company abolished for their lack of customer service, look out for a social media page destroying their reputation, because clearly not one of them have learned the power of reputation.
