July 27, 2015
Dear Sirs,
Two weeks ago I purchased a Hoover Whole House Elite vacuum cleaner for $119.00 at Walmart in Vernal, Utah. Overall, I am very happy with this particular vacuum. My two previous vacuums were Sharks and I did not care for some problems unique to the brand. I went back to my old faithful brand, Hoover. While this vacuum does perform well, so far, it has one design flaw that is just disgusting. The dirt compartment fills rapidly, which doesn't say much for my housecleaning routine. Once it is full, it is nearly impossible to get the dirt out of the container. I have to actually reach in and pull the dirt out with my fingers because it is such a tight area between the inner part and the container wall. Ugh. This is disgusting. Had I realized that I would be digging into the container to empty it, I would have passed on an otherwise fine vacuum. I am the only income in my home and spending $119.00 for this vacuum was difficult to do. It meant I had to cut back on groceries. I'm sorry to say that if anyone were to ask my advice about buying a new vacuum I would tell them how disappointed I am in this one.
