Original Comment Spent the night in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. The room was dirty, curtain had a hole in it, bedspread stained. We came back after a day of working at a relative's farm to find all the rooms upstairs with doors open and sheets off our beds, but the cleaning crew (man and woman from India, no English) were in a different room. My brother was very hot and dirty from the farm, so he decided to get in the shower even if they were still cleaning. They came to our room to make the beds and I took my purse & went outside to let them finish. I forgot about my jewelry bag--it was stolen. We didn't notice until the next day. I talked to the manager, an Indian man with poor English, and he said he would check with the cleaning crew and call me. The next morning, back in my home town, I called and talked to "Carol" and she said she would talk to the manager and call me back. Today I called and a man (southern accent) said they would call me back. Not one of them has called me. I just called the police to file an official report. Needless to say, this particular Days Inn is at the bottom of the "scum" list. NEVER stay there if you care about your belongings, clean rooms or decent management.
