Posted this on their fb and messaged them. They keep deleting it and have offered NO help. I reported to BBB and they are only offering 20% refund for the toll charges that WE DIDN'T USE! Disgusting! <br /> <br /> I respectfully wish to tell you that I was absolutely mortified at how we were dealt with for our first reservation with Thrifty. Everything had been great, I booked early and you guys had a great price. Everyone I had previously dealt with regarding questions was pleasant and helpful, up until time of pick up. My husband had reserved it under his name to use his credit card and license. Two days before pickup his credit card was stolen and had to be turned off and a new one issued to us which we wouldn't have in time for it to be present for our pickup. I called and spoke at length with customer service who GUARANTEED that we could use a debit card to hold our car with an additional 15% deposit for hold (which he looked up specifically from JFK where we were picking up). My husband got there and was immediately told he could not use a debit card. After a long time of trying to figure it out they finally said if he had a round trip ticket into JFK we could use debit (which was NEVER said to me when I called). It took hours to finally figure things out when we opted to have a friend who was traveling with us come put it on his card and make my husband an additional driver for an extra $140. We got our car a day late due to all of this dishonesty on Thrifty's part, threatening to ruin our trip. When we finally did get it worked out, Thrifty told us we would now have to pay over $800 when our original reservation was $383 Taxes and Fees Included AND we were having it for one less day since you guys screwed up. We had to talk for hours and hours to supervisors to get it back to previously agreed upon price and then when he went to pick it up they told him &quot;oh it's still the $383 we just need to put a hold on the card for over $800 but you won't pay that&quot;. We took the car, had a wonderful trip, only to come back and drop it off EARLY and them to inform us they were charging us $719. They added a $128 toll charge when we opted NOT to use the ezpass and paid for every toll with cash, they also added additional taxes and fees to our trip for the extra money charged. We are a family, with a young son, and work hard for our money. To charge us almost double for something that resulted from the fault of THRIFTY and not us is absolutely inexcusable and quite sad actually. I can't believe how taken advantage of I feel. I honestly never have negative things to say about anyone even if there is a little mix up. But having absolutely no care to help work with us regarding something that was not our fault is just disheartening. You've now put our family in a horrible position and lost future customers as everyone I know will hear about this.
