Original Comment Based on Consumer Reports, we purchased a Kenmore Elite dishwasher. It was top rated and got high marks for running quietly. After a few months, the top rack broke. The construction was flimsy and was covered under warranty so it was replaced. The tech told us it was a design defect.<br /> <br /> Now, we have poor drainage and the lights that will not shut off, so we cannot use it because the controls do not respond. When I spend over $1,100.00 on a product I do not expect it to be junk. Maybe Kenmore is synonymous for junk. <br /> <br /> Internet complaint sites are filled with customer's experiences with the top racks failing and the motherboards failing. If that is what the tech will tell me when he gets here Wednesday, I won't be surprised. The cost of the Motherboard is close to half of what I paid for the dishwasher. <br /> <br /> You have lost a customer. My experience will be added to the complaint sites once the tech informs me how much more it will cost me to repair this less than two year old dishwasher. In case you wondered, we are a two adult household so there are no kids abusing the dishwasher.<br /> <br /> There should be a provision for companies who manufacture inferior products resulting in landfills filling with their junk to be fined so as to discourage the manufacture of junk. Good luck unloading he Kenmore division. Caveat emptor!
